Our first ever trip, and yes it rained. This did not spoil it as the site was great for what we wanted. The owners were very helpful and showed us exactly where to pitch the tent. We were the first on the field thank goodness as we needed plenty of time to put our new tent up. We did not get hook up but this was fine as we wanted to use the lanterns and torches that the children had. The local pub was very close and were very welcoming to us, they sell nice beers too! The little shop was very handy as we had forgotten to take some things. The toilet block was clean and pretty well looked after but it was a bit of a culture shock queueing to wash up! The children liked the little play area! Thanks for a great start and we will be back, but hook up is definitely on the cards.

A smashing little site that's worth a visit. Very clean and tidy with a nice relaxing atmosphere. Plenty of room for tents and caravans. Ideal for children due to the room and places to play and walk (plus the goat to feed!) A nice peaceful place but it can be a little noisy on the top field at night, where it's close to the road! It feels like you're pitched on a kerbside! Would definitely return!

What a fabulous site. We have just returned from a weekend at The Green and have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We were there for a birthday party for a 5 year old and couldn't have had more fun. Our pitch was right next to the stream and the 5 year olds played from morning till night. The showers and toilets were excellent and seemed to be cleaned quite frequently. If you are looking for a site to get away from it all this is the one to choose, set between long mynd and stipperstones you can do as much or as little as you like. Will definitely be making a return visit.

What a great site. The facilities were clean, smart, hot water, shop sold everything you needed for a weekend. The kids had the best weekend in a long time, especially the stream that runs through the site. We made some paper boats and raced them down the stream. The only thing was our friends that stayed in a tent were in a different field to us. We will definitely go back here. It is only 45mins from were we live and you don't realise what lovely sites there are in your own area. The cost was very good too. 2 adults, 2 children, ehu, 2 nights for £32.50. Thank you.

Just had our 2nd visit to the "Green". Once again had a great time, apart from the rain and cold! The prices are very reasonable and the site owners have allowed me to leave me caravan for a few weeks in storage at a very acceptable charge! We loved the visit to the "stipperstones", about 2 miles from the site and enjoyed a drink in the "Horseshoes" nearby, apparently were the BBC filmed scenes for "The Green Green Grass". Very welcoming for pet owners, watch out for the owners pet goat! Would recommend this site for county loving families who like relaxing peaceful holidays.

The pub right next door to this site, The Inn on the Green, has changed hands and has been refurbished! Home cooked food and a selection of cask and keg beers available. No smoking areas provided. They also have accomodation if your party overflows the van. The owners are looking forward to meeting visitors to the Green Caravan site which is just over the fence.

Just returned from a nice weekend camping here. It was quiet on the non-EHU pitches (I guess that's September for you) but there were plenty of tin tents on the EHU field. We chose our own pitch - all of which seemed level, nicely maintained grass and clean.
My kids loved the small play area, and the stream was quite an attraction too. The toilets, showers and washing up facilities were always clean and never busy. I did find that the reception/shop was sometimes only manned for maybe 10 minutes before the sign "back at ....." went up again, but I guess that's the pitfalls of out of season camping.
Generally a very nice site that I'd happily return to.

If you want peace and getting back to nature this is the site for you,it is set between two sets of hills amidst trees on level ground, and even when busy is still a place you can chill out in.The sites amenities are basic but clean, and the owners very friendly and helpful, and the small on site shop carries the basics and a few emergency supplies. At the gate is a pub called the Inn on the Green we went once that was enough, instead walk up the hill into Wentnor village and pay a visit to the Crown you will go back ,food wonderfull (recommend booking ahead) and the beer is cold and very tasty. We enjoyed our stay so much we will be going back.

Visited "The Green" with a group of staff on a Basic Expedition Leader's Award" course. Beautiful location with all the facilities we needed - even a cup of tea at the shop. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the lady in charge. We will use again... and again.

We visited here in july for a weekend and went back for a further week in august. Lovely clean site, well marked out. Showers and toilets kept immaculate, and owners have thoughtfully provided mops so we can clean up after ourselves.Showers 20p as is the hairdryer. Laundry £2.50 by token from shop and tumbler in 20p's.
The site is split into about 5 or 6 camping areas. Whe we pitched our tent was near the stream.....initially filling me with dread as i have 4 kids aged 1-9! but I have to say, it is very shallow and a welcome relief to the hot weather we had! The site has lots of shade as well as the sun, again important with the kids, and the kids play area is shaded. BBQ can be used if off the grass.
I would recommend that it is not the most sitable site for groups of younger people. Some friends joined us half way through the week we stayed and we were asked to remember that the site needs to be quiet of an evening. The owners are not over keen on groups of people staying up late and chatting....hence very high prices to errect a gazebo!
Owners very helpful and nice, very tolerant with the kids taking an hr to choose a 10p sweetie!I think the shop is well stocked. will be going back again, but probably just as the family unit rather than with a larger group of friends. Excellent site!
