We have stayed at serenity many times when it was owned by Pat and Nigel and were obviously a little apprehensive when we found out it had new owners.
We have usually holidayed in our tourer but sadly we are no longer van owners. But not to be deterred we hired the Platini so could still get the `chilled out` feeling you get from caravanning - our weeks stay was wonderful and Sarah and Wes are great site owners and couldn't do enough - and to prove it we have booked again for 2014!
Thank you for a great week

This is a great site ideally located for Staithes and Runswick Bay which are both must places to visit and very easy to walk too. Was a lovely quite site and the majority of people where quite by 11pm. Beautiful views and great facilities. Even had WiFi area. Only complaint we did have was the electric did keep tripping which was a bit of a pain when it was quite cold the first night.
The fields were kept to a high standard. We had a really friendly welcome from the owners and they made you feel right at home, nothing was too much trouble.
We will definitely and have already done so, recommend this site to friends and family. Yes we will be back

Beautiful location - Beautifully maintained - Fabulously clean (even fresh flowers in the facilities, free hot showers, washing up liquid provided, Microwave/fridge etc) - and fantastic owners! If you want to let your kids charge about like loonies then this is not the site for you (no playground either).
The name says it all. Peaceful & serene.
Sarah & Wes did everything to make us feel welcome. They are genuinely lovely people who adore the countryside and love what they do - and it shows.
Will be back - as often as possible!
Seeing as I have to be 'objective' - the road in is a little bumpy. Cannot come up with anything else! They've got free wi-fi too for those who want it).
Good food in the local pubs (2 mins from site) - beach 10 mins away at Runswick Bay. CO-OP 5 mins, fish shop in village.

We had a great week on this site, we even stretched our stay for another night as it was a really nice site.
The site is well established but the owners, Wes & Sarah, are new. They couldn’t have done any more to make our stay enjoyable and we wish them all the best of luck for the future!
The site itself is actually really hard to pick any faults with.
The facilities are all fairly modern, clean & well kept.
There was nothing we didn’t like, apart from maybe the extra £1 per day in bread to feed the ducks & ducklings, moorhens, dunucks, sparrows, blackbirds, chickens, goose & everything else! Feed the ducks once & that’s it they will waddle to your tent & quack at you until you feed them!
We stayed in June so the dawn chorus started about 4am & it is loud but lovely to hear once your used to it. Other than that it is a quiet site!
The site is very dog friendly & most other campers friendly. The village of Hinderwell was friendly, smashing fish n chips! As well as local butchers selling some basics & a post office.
We would definitely recommend this site and will return!

Had a really lovely 7 day stay at this site.
Very well maintained and loved. Wes and Sarah the owners were away for most of this, but Hazel did a wonderful job of looking after everyone on the site. Nice and peaceful just what we needed.
Our stay was on the deluxe hard standing pitch, however the only issue we had was that our piping was not long enough to attach to the water point, however, for our stay there was no-one on the next pitch so we were able to use their point. We have fed this back to Wes and Sarah who said that they will have a look at it.
2 Pubs in the village. A great butchers. Fish & Chip shop The General Store is a small Post Office with only a few bits and bobs. If you need a larger shop, there is a Co-Op in Staithes, A new Asda in Skelton and in Whitby a Sainsburys & a Lidl.
Overall, we loved it. The Dogs loved it.
It was a joy not to be on a campsite with the noises of Scooters/Roller Skates/Bikes/Footballs being kicked around being heard at all times.
It does what it says on the tin. SERENITY!

We loved this campsite! We chose it because it is dog-friendly, but we will be going back to it for many other reasons too.
The pitches were spacious and well organised, and the ground wonderfully soft for the tent pegs. The grass was in excellent condition and felt 'bouncy' underfoot. Free range chickens and ducks (with a duck pond) added to its charm.
The facilities were great too, complete with a communal washing machine and fridge freezer. The toilet/shower block was clean and well maintained, with no fee for showers. My only (minor) criticism is that a couple more showers would be useful at peak times. There was even a communal lounge room (with WiFi and a selection of local interest leaflets) - this would've been very useful if it had rained during our visit.
We found the site to be relatively quiet, compared with other campsites I have visited, perhaps due to the spacious pitches.
The site is very close to the village. We didn't have chance to sample the pubs, but we found the post office shop well stocked with essentials, and the chips from the chippy were excellent. There are dog-friendly walks from the site, and the beach is a 20 minute(?) walk away.
Finally, the people who run this site and lovely and go out of their way to make sure visitors enjoy their stay. We're already planning our next visit.
Highly recommended.

Been coming here for a few years now, (though we had missed the last 2)to find it had been taken over by a lovely couple, from Pat and Nigel.
BUT it is not a quiet site now, as children are allowed and we had a field in witch football was played 8am and night as well as screaming and running around we were very saddend by this and decided to go a day earlier just in case any more turned up!
The have kept the place spotless as it as been, and
We wish them all the best but we feel we must look elsewhere for a quieter site in the future.

Spent early bank holiday weekend on this lovely site on fully serviced pitch with fantastic views. Good clean facilities, very friendly owners who have only been there a couple of months. Site location excellent for walking and local bus service. Village has 2 friendly pubs with real ale, tried & tested fish & chip shop (delicious), butchers & local store. Will certainly go back again. PS tent facilities looked excellent.

We are fairly new to touring but this is the best site we've seen so far. Everything is beautifully clean and tidy. Although in the centre of the village, it is extremely quiet and the view is lovely. Easy access to Staithes, Runswick Bay, Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay with glorious countryside all round. We ate in the Brown Cow - very friendly with great, reasonably priced home cooking. If Wes and Sarah continue as they've begun they will make this a great success. Highly recommended!

Stayed here whilst walking the Cleveland Way and must say what a lovely site, lovely and roomy. The views are great and the facilities were very clean and modern. There is a summer house on the site, although I never used it.
The owner was very friendly and the price for a tent was about the average.
The fish and chip shop is handy and a short walk away. I never used any of the pubs in the High Street.
I would camp here again, if I did the Cleveland Way again.
