Top site with great facilities. Nothing too much trouble for the owners Pat and Nigel.
On site with the Talbot Owners Club Motorhomes and had a great weekend.
Toilets were spotless, even had piped music.
The grass on the field was cut on our arrival and was very neat and tidy.
Village pubs were well worth a visit and those who had a bite to eat said the food was great.
Local butcher sorted out some great meat for us and a mile down the road at Staithes you can buy some excellent fresh fish.
Bus route to Whitby about £6.50 return.
Mainly geared for adults as there is not much to do for kids.
All the dogs in the party loved it. Some nice walks away from traffic.

The campsite does exactly what it aims for and provides serenity. My partner and I stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable time.
The facilities provided on site we always clean and well kept. As we stayed over bank holiday the campsite was full so I did have to queue a little in the ladies for the shower--- I would advise women with longer hair to take 2 20ps for the shower as mine didn't last long enough to rinse my conditioner out ha! This did not effect my enjoyment of our stay and the facilities were better than many I have used previously.
In the washing up room they provide 4 different laminated walks. My partner and I are not seasoned walkers at all but did walk no. 1 and really enjoyed the beautiful views from the cliff tops. We also walked down to runswick bay of an evening which only takes 20 minutes to get to.
The owners and staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The campsite is situated in a small village with 2 nice pubs which both serve food (although we chose to cook for ourselves so cant say how nice the food was). Having shops so close and a co- op only a short drive down the road was fantastic!
We would happily visit again!

Just returned from this site with husband, mother, dog and two teenage children. Site very well located for Whitby and surrounding area. Regular bus route from just outside the campsite into Whitby.
Leave the car and explore the area. Some great dog walks with a dirt track at the bottom of the site accessed via a gate leading to lovely walks in fields and woods.
Staff very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Fridge/freezer very useful.
Easter cakes for the kids on Easter sunday. Toilet block kept spotless. Despite being Easter weekend didn't have to queue for shower once.
Would definitely recommend this site and will be back.

An excellent, well run site with plenty of space and clean and fabulously well maintained facilities. (The two showers - 20p - and 3 loos in gents had a queue in the mornings but not really a big problem).
Peace and quiet at night was only infringed by the nearby road (which was not busy but you could hear cars coming from some way off surprisingly clearly.)
The small duck pond with mother and chicks was a delight.
Would happily return if camping in this neck of the woods again and thoroughly recommend it to anyone considering doing so.

Just got back from this site. The site is very peaceful and enjoyable. Two pubs are situated across the road both were fine (did not eat in either).
Superb weather and rather chilly on a night. The camp site has 3 fields, one for caravans and two for tents.
Facilities were fine, showers(20P) clean and did not have to wait at all. Free fridge/freezer to use which was very useful and 3 sinks for doing dishes in (Hot water 10p).
Staff were pleasant.
Despite being an adult only site there were 3 or 4 children there but they caused no problems whatsoever.
Would we go back.Yes!

A lovely site in a lovely area.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here; both wardens and fellow campers were very friendly and helpful.
The facilities were great and very clean. A mop was left out so that the showers can be given a quick clean after every use.
The walk to Runswick Bay and back is an hour or so, unfortunately there was a heavy sea mist so I couldn't see the bay itself!
I didn't try any local cuisine.

Great site. Have been before. Weather this April was good. Dry but sometimes a bit chilly at night.
Clean toilet/shower block. Clean and tidy utility are where you can do your washing up, use washing machine and if needed there is a microwave for heating your food.
Owners are very friendly and welcoming. Very few campers when we were there, so it was nice and quiet.
Not that far from Whitby. Good walking along parts of the Cleveland Way either to Staithes or to Runswick Bay and for the really adventurous a good walk into Whitby.
A site that is always well worth returning to.

This site was exactly as advertised. We arrived and found the entrance quite tight but passable. The owners were very friendly and came to see us the minute we arrived and very quickly showed us the facilities and where to pitch. The pitch itself was slightly sloping so the caravan needed levelling.
The facilities were very clean and very pleasant, even had the radio on when you were in them! The site was very peaceful and although there were many other pitches in use we barely saw anyone else at all.
The surrounding area has much to offer and the is a large array of walks available from the site owners on request. We were even able to borrow and OS map as we had no bought one yet! The walking is great and the North Yorkshire Moors railway is not far in the car.
Altogether a good location and one we would return to.

Arrived at the campsite mid afternoon to a very friendly welcome from the owner who showed us around the facilities (very clean) and provided some information on walks around the area.
We were told that we could choose where we wished to pitch and took a very quiet corner at the bottom of the field, a little undulating but very lush and green, near to a small pond with ducks and moorhens.
The toilet and shower block was very clean and we never had to wait, but the site was quiet when we were there.
The washing area had a fridge/freezer which you are free to use for your own provisions and proved very handy for us as we had no ice in the cool box.
There are lots of leaflets about things to do in the area, including some walks ranging from 2-7 miles and some immediately from the campsite.
All in all a quiet campsite with very clean basic facilities and welcoming owners.

Please note, The Showers have now been altered. You get about 20 seconds before it goes off you need to press the button every 20 seconds. Very frustrating trying to keep one hand on the button and one hand trying to wash yourself. Do what I did tie your sock round the button or buy some gaffer tape. The site and owners are top class. All facilities (except showers) are great, though the field is rather undulating it is not hard to adjust and find a good part
