The campsite was easy to find, directions sent were easy to follow and got us there without any detours.

Campsite was straightforward, shown to pitch, and given some information about places to visit which was good.

Toilets and showers were clean and worked fine. Also a nice touch was a fridge Freezer next to outdoor sinks, with ice creams and and an honesty box.

What a wonderful site this is. Nice greeting from Tanya who showed us to our pitch. Lovely views and greetings from the cows. The site is slightly sloping but all we had to do on our pitch, second on the left near the toilets, was lower the front of the caravan.

Toilets are unisex, two toilets, two showers with a built in seat inside and outside to dress, four sinks. And a tap for drinking water. These were always spotlessly clean and at the weekend there were lots of tenters and loads of kids and for the amount of people there, they were still spotless.

There are two sinks outside but under cover for washing up and you empty your chemical toilet down a manhole. One thing my husband didn’t like was that the tap for cleaning your toilet was set away from this and in long grass which when it rained you got wet trousers and feet. The cook shop was good though we didn’t buy anything. Although this site lets children stay, there is no play park but lots of room to run about.

There are bus stops in both directions a few yards from the long drive on the main road and you can walk across the fields to Harrogate so we were told but we are both disabled so didn’t use them.

It is so near to Harrogate and we were very lucky getting a disabled space across the road from the bus station where we could stay all day. Lunch at Nomads was really nice and totally different from other places we eat. Knaresborough is beautiful and we went on market day.

We were disappointed that we only found four disabled parking spaces in the car parks though there were a few on the roads. We were going to Mother Shiptons Caves but the man on the gate said it was no good for wheelchair users, scooter or pushchairs as there were loads of steps.

Cow and Calf rocks are worth a visit as the views are stunning. It’s a steep trek but if you are able then have a look, cafe isn’t much though. Too many other places to mention. We had a nice meal at the Curious Cow which is left out if the site, right at the roundabout past Alde and on the corner of the road going to Otley. Yes if in the area again we will stay at The Cud Life.

Superb little site, on a farm and with a fully functioning toilet and shower block.

All facilities are well maintained and clean - 2 toilets/ 2 showers, communal use but could get very busy.

Both hard and grass pitches with electric available although grass areas could be cut.

Easy access to Harrogate via the local bus at the of the road or a 40min walk

Excellent site with very friendly & helpful staff.

The whole campsite is well kept and the facilities were spotless.

There is only one shower room for men and another for women, there weren't any queues that I noticed.

The shop sells a decent range of items and has a huge range of kitchenware. The home baked cakes are delicious as is the coffee.

 Excellent facilities, very reasonable price.

An ideal base for the area around Harrogate.

Good base to walk and bike from and only a very short distance from the centre of Harrogate.

Would definitely recommend
