We visited this site in July 2010 and were looking forward to it after reading the reviews. However, upon arrival, we were put on the rally field which was full of kids. I appreciate that kids do go camping but there were so many of them screaming and shouting until about 10 at night and it was difficult to relax.
There was also music blasting from a rally at the other side of the field until about 11.30pm.
There are two separate toilet/shower blocks for different parts of the site. The one near us was very dated and not kept that clean. The other ones, however, were lovely and clean and you can see why they won an award.
However, the walks by the river into Bewdley were amazing. We were very lucky with the weather which helped.
I don't want to sound too negative because I am not a negative person, but I am just being honest.

One word to describe: outstanding. My son was upset when we had to come home. My first time camping and everything was spotless, staff were helpful and friendly. There was always someone about to help
Showers and toilets were spotless, play areas well kept. Dogs loved holiday as well, big field for them to run round. I will be back soon.

We visited this site as it was local to us and we wanted to test our tent out.
We really like this site. Facilities are good, showers, toilets and washing-up facilities are spotlessly clean.
The play area is great for the kids and we were pitched opposite so could keep an eye on them. Found pitches a little close together if had to give a negative. Lovely grounds though, very well maintained, ducks and geese wandering around. Very loud dawn chorus from the many surrounding trees!
We have 2 dogs which were welcomed and walks along the river into both Stourport and Bewdley are fantastic for them. Local shop about 2 minutes drive for basic supplies / daily papers, farm shop up the road.
All in all really great site and would thoroughly recommend a visit.

We camp in a converted 4x4 with an awning so we love these sites where there are no marked pitches.
My father in law actually chose this site as the finishing point of our River Severn canoe run because the site in right on the river side and all we had to do was drag our canoes up the bank and then promptly pass out in a heap! Fabulous for canoeist and kayakers.
The toilets and shower facilities here are second to none, absolutely spotless. There are no other facilities as such just a lot of grass and so massive pitches which were ideal for all of out kit with the canoes, tents and vans. Perfect.
We went of the weekend of a big rally and even though the revellers had awful taste in music and a large PA system at 11 o'clock it was promptly switched off and everyone went to bed.
The site allows BBQs on blocks but no wood burning on your fires which is the only thing I can think of that would stop me giving this site a 10/10 for everything. So you can imagine how nice it is since that's all I could think of!
A lovely site in a lovely area with the best of facilities especially if the facility you desire the most is somewhere to launch a canoe. We really can't wait to go back!

We were a party of two large tents (electric hook up), a gazebo 4 adults and 6 children with ages ranging between 5 and 13 years. Our pitches were by the play park and the wildlife pools.
The children loved it here, joining in with the football games in the fenced off ball games area. Playing in the park or watching the ducks and geese. There was so much space for them to play (the warden came round at 10pm and locked the play area, which gave the signal to quieten down ) The site is great. It is kept very clean and tidy by very friendly and dedicated wardens who work very hard.
The toilet and shower facilities are outstanding. They are always kept clean with plenty of toilet rolls and paper towels. There is a hairdrier in the toilets. The family / disabled bathroom, toilet is very useful, this allowed us to supervise the youngest members of our party whilst they were having a shower, without getting soaked. There is music playing in the toilet and shower block which is a lovely touch.
There is a small room for washing up indoors. There is also a small freezer where you can refreeze your coolblocks (free).
Lickhill Manor has a number of static caravans and seasonal caravans, as well as the touring caravans and tents. There is a large touring field, which has a number of electric hook up plots. This field ran along the river severn
There is no shop on site but this wasn't a bad thing,it meant the children didn't keep asking for money to buy sweets. There is a spar shop 5 minutes walk for immediate needs. In Stourport there is a coop, Lidls and a Tescos metro about a 5 minute drive and in Kiddeminster there is a tesco extra and a sainsburys. Who needs a shop on site! There were plenty of takeaways around as well. An icecream van visited the site daily.
There is so much to do in this area. West midlands safari park, The Severn valley railway and the Wyre forest only 10/15 minutes drive away. We visited Drayton Manor, Cadburys World and Warwick Castle, these were within an hours drive. If you don't want to drive there is a lovely walk from the campsite along the River Severn into Stourport where there is a fair. There is the canal basin where you can watch the boats tackle the locks.
We could not fault this site we had a fantastic time it met all our requirements with a great standard. We will certainly be back.

We stayed here last September on our first ever camping trip! The owners where really friendly and helpful, they even told us someone who would loan us a pump for our airbed as we had forgot ours!
It was an open field so pretty much pitched with as much room as we wanted! Was fairly quiet on the site even with lots of kids: mine included! The showers where lovely and clean and free!
Was a pleasant walk into stourport where you can visit shops, pubs, fair etc. There is a park on site but we didn't use it. There was also bricks provided for raising bbq's off the floor. Overall a nice site.

Great site clean and well managed easy walk to Stourport we went on a busy bank holiday but still found the site comfortable as the pitches have good space between. We always found that the toilet / shower blocks were clean although maybe more than one block would be a good idea as our allocated pitch was quiet close to them and had constant files of people and kids on bikes passing between our pitches.
Great for short breaks. Not good for large groups as noise has to be kept to a mimimum at night, although as we were busy all day and BBQing at night we found by 11.30 we were all ready for bed anyway.
All in all a great site for short breaks but don't think we could go for longer than a weekend as not much to do once you have walked around Stourport. Great if you just want to stay around your Tent / Caravan.

We only managed to stay here for one night at the bank holiday weekend as our pitch became waterlogged and we were joined by the ducks! We had to empty our tents late on Saturday night and drive home as our pitch was under a couple of inches of water. We returned the next day to retrieve our tents and were eventually given a refund (we turned down the offer of a free return stay).
We've camped in many locations in the past and have survived much heavier downpoors of rain so we feel that the pitches were simply not adequately drained and therefore should not be offered to campers. We were told that the rally field is much drier, although when we booked we were not offered this area to pitch.
Pros
- Pretty surroundings (small lake)
- Showers/toilets very clean and plenty of hot water
Cons
- Not enough showers for the size of the site.
- The play area dominates the site so not recommended for adults wanting a quiet break
- The geese! They were so noisy through the night that it was almost impossible to sleep.
We wouldn't return here again. The flooding aside, we prefer quieter sites that offer better value for money.

We have just returned from a weekend at this site. Our pitch was on the riverside field which was busy with lots of children playing.
The toilets / shower block were very clean and tidy. The whole site very neat and tidy.
Bad point - We opted for electric but the last night we had none between the hours of 10. 40pm and 7. 30am. We did try to get this resolved to no avail. There is a real problem on this field with the electricity. Every night we encountered a power cut. We were not warned about this when we booked so did not make allowance for this. Hence we were cold in the dark.

To be honest when I looked at their website it didn't really appeal to me but as we were going with friends we put our names down.
When we arrived we first ventured into the main part of the park. It was well manicured and landscaped and looked fantastic. We soon found out that we had come into the wrong bit and needed to go round to the rally field.
The rally field is a big wide open space with EHU on some parts and also has an animal enclosure and play park. The field is right next to the river and there is a riverside walk into Stourport which takes 10 - 20 mins depending on the length of your legs! there was a permanent funfair, the canal basin, shops pubs etc, well worth the visit.
The showers/toilets were to a good standard and kept clean, each shower had several hooks and a chair in the cubicle, there was always hot water and seemed to be cleaned often. The staff were on hand throughout the day and were friendly and helpful. An ice cream van visited the site each day and was just at the right time after cooking the barbecue!
The site was fairly busy during the day but was very quiet at night. The waste water disposal was in in the shape of a well which was a nice touch and there were recycling facilities for cans, paper, plastics etc.
My first impressions from the website were totally wrong and I would definitely consider staying here again. A good site for families but also quiet enough at night to keep child haters happy too!
