This club site is very well organized and run. It's usually very busy but the staff cope well. All the main points have been covered by previous reviewers. Clean toilets and shower block, close to the town, lots of very good pubs and eating places. The Moffat Woolen Mill next door is a much better experience than similar stores in the town with more choice. The adjacent supermarket is well stocked and handy for your morning newspaper. There is a garden centre, cafe, and play area at Hammerlands next door.
There is a large construction site next door but we heard very little noise from it. No complaints.

Just back from a weekend at Moffat and will definitely go back. Very probably the best we have stayed at so far. Very friendly and informative welcome, site busy but not noisy (other than sheep and church bells). Toilets clean and plenty of showers. Site is within 2 minute walk of town centre, co-op, woollen mill centre and local park. Also found Hammersmith centre (as we were packing up) which is practically on site and includes children's play area, animal petting area, outdoor / camping shop and cafe. Overall- loved the site and will go back soon.

Spent the last night of February at Moffat C&CC site in our new motorhome.
The warden couldn't have been more helpful, welcoming us on to the site, helping us fill up the water tank and showing us to our site. Knowing we were newbies, he gave us lots of hints and tips and guided us carefully in to our pitch.
Really well laid out site with the facilities in the middle and the Elsan separate from the water points to avoid any nasty confusions! Can't comment on the showers as we use our own on board.
Good sized dog walk by the river but the river is quite fast so you might want to either keep dog on lead or be very very observant.
My only criticism would be the hinged lid on the waste water drain. Was very difficult for us to place ourselves in the right way as you had to open the drain first and then drive over - very tricky for a newbie! Would be easier if it was just a lift up one.
Site very handy for Moffat town which is a really nice wee town with a few interesting shops (I really liked Present Times) and nice hotels and bars (we particularly liked the Buccleuch Hotel as it had great vegetarian food and dogs are welcome - they even gave her a dog biscuit!).
All in a great site.

Great site very close to the town centre which has several pubs and restaurants offering great value.
We were only there for a weekend and took advantage of several walks around the area.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and obviously take pride in upkeep of the site
The sites facilities are of a very high standard with ample toilet and shower cubicals which have plenty of hot water.
I recommend this site and will use again in the near future.

Lovely welcome, the staff are really friendly. The site has suffered a little due to recent wet weather and some pitches are a little muddy - this restricts the amount of pitches they can now let out. We managed to get on by the skin of our teeth so advance booking is highly recommended at the moment.
Discount vouchers given for local restaurants, pretty village just a short walk away.
Remember your code to access the toilet block!

Site is well maintained, pitches are well spaced, toilet block is dated yet functional. Staff seemed pleasant enough. Moffat has a CO-OP and many Shops, Pubs/Hotels(2 of which are dog friendly) and Take-aways. However, the site is not a quiet one at the moment due to a very large construction site approx 500 yards from the perimeter fence. The noise when I was there started between 0700-0730 every morning and continued at varying levels until well past 1730 each day. This was also commented on by many of the other people staying at the site.
I had to leave earlier than expected due to a family incident at home. A refund for those nights for which I was no longer staying was given, although not until rather more questions reference what had happened were asked.

Great location - just 3 miles from M74 and in centre of Moffat.
Great site, well maintained, staff brilliant.
Ideal for visiting Moffat or the surrounding area.
Supermarket almost at the site entrance. 5 wollen mill shops nearby. All the same, but with different specials.
This must be a must stop-off!

Excellent site! The wardens were very very helpful and friendly. The site facilities were spotless and showers piping hot. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Moffat despite the changeable weather we experienced. The town of Moffat is right outside the camp with plenty of shops to please everybody. There are discount vouchers available at reception if you want to eat out in the town. The surrounding area is spectacular, especially if you turn right at the main road after leaving the site and head towards Selkirk. The road takes you through the hills and the views are breathtaking. Also the Grey Mare's Tail waterfall is along this road. This site is a great place from which to explore Southern Scotland and even the Northern Lake District as it is only a couple of miles from Jnc 15 of the A74M. We will definitely be returning as this has become one of our favourite sites in Scotland.

This site has always been pretty good and consistent, we have been coming here for many years with our tent and motorhome.
The toilets are clean, it is centrally located and has a large supermarket virtually next door. The Black Bull hotel has excellent wines and food and the Moffat toffee shop is a must if you like fudge and whisky (hundreds of miniatures to try). Hammerlands centre is great for fishing and for the kids to feed the goats and ducks.
Unfortunately the playground on the site has been removed this year, it appears to make way for more hard standing. We have noticed that tents are being sidelined into the centre of the site next to the toilets, which you would think would be pretty handy, however the introduction of the security keypads mean that the doors bang shut all night which is anything but handy in the middle of the night in a tent. There definitely appears to have been a shift in favour of the caravans this year which is a shame as there is nothing better than a good mix of all units on a site. A wee bit disappointed this year.
