We were at this site four times in 2014 and once in January 2015.
The fact we keep going back is evidence that we love this site. The staff are always welcoming, helpful, friendly and all you could want.
The site is close to the town but there is no noise or disturbance. The town has pubs, restaurants, shops etc and is very welcoming.
The toilets and showers are always really clean, (the site is closed in February 2015 as they are totally renovating the facilities and we look forward to seeing them soon).
We really like this site, it is only just over a mile from the M74 so easy to get to towing, but no noise at all from traffic.

This is one of the best Camping & Caravan Clubs we've stayed at. Wardens very friendly and helpful with a wealth of local knowledge ! The site is very well spaced out with excellent facilities and has lovely views of the surrounding mountains and is ideally located in the town of Moffat itself (5 minute walk to pubs shops etc. ) it's a great site as either a stop over to/from Scotland as it's only a couple of miles off the motorway and also for visiting the stunning scenery of the local area ! We will definitely be back

Stayed here for two nights on our way to the West Highlands and would go back for longer next time. There was a bit of a hold up getting in simply to the volume of people having to park on the lane into the site and the managers and staff dealt with it efficiently and apologetically.
Throughout our stay, the staff were informative, helpful and pleasant.
The site itself is easy to find and conveniently not far off the M74. It is large, flat and very tidy and it was nice to see that tent campers were based near the facilities - not the case on all sites. The facilities were dated but very clean, though a few more showers would be useful when it is as full as it was.
It is a very short walk into the town, which has a variety of places to eat and drink. The Mill cafe also does a great breakfast, which we took advantage of before we headed north.
We will definitely stay here again.

Excellent site staff, the lady who greeted us was very helpful and polite. We were given the choice of several available pitches; we picked an ideal pitch near the excellent facilities. We have stayed at Moffat on several occasions and find it very handy to the M74 which is only 2 miles away. We stayed here for 4 nights and spent a perfect day in Glasgow using the Sheilds Road park and ride on the newly modernised Glasgow underground system. Moffat is a beautiful market town a short walk from the site with an excellent chip shop and some lovely cafes. Don’t for get to visit the 5 star Green Frog Cafe for breakfast, easily accessed directly from the site in the southwest corner of the site. If you show your Club membership cards and site receipt you get an extra 10% discount at the Green Frog. We will certainly be visiting Moffat again and I can well recommend it.

Visited this campsite as a stopover on the journey from North Scotland back down to Yorkshire. Although we received a friendly welcome, we found the site quite compact, with rows and rows of vans with little greenery etc separating them. Bit like a caravan dealer! There were grassed areas for the children but no playground. Although we did discover a garden centre at the bottom of the field (accessible from the campsite) which had a number of activities for children (playground, shop, cafe, animals etc).
The redeeming feature for us was the location which is a 2 minute walk into the centre of Moffat.
We visited Pinocchios tearoom which is an excellent coffee shop for families with young children. Also had a great lunch in Brodies which is a Bistro you walk past on the road into Moffat town centre.
Would stay again as a convenience stop but not for a specific weekend trip.

Stopped at this site on the way back from Scotland. The facilities are excellent, pitches well spaced with good drainage and first class motorhome drainage and top up point. The town is just a short walk away with a co op virtually on the doorstep. Anything you need can be found in the town and it is all reasonably priced. Pubs and restaurants allow dogs in and you get a discount if staying on the site. Will be using this site again and again.

We were very pleased to find a warm welcome at this site when we turned up without a booking at 9. 30pm in the dark. We'd had a long day with unexpected travel delays which meant we had not reached our planned destination however they were quite happy to get me, my 4 year old and dog onto a pitch without delay. The site was lovely and quiet through the night. The toilet block was clean and warm with an excellent selection of cubicle sinks, toilets and showers. My daughter loved the beautifully decorated baby room, which we used while the main block was closed for cleaning, it had all the equipment you needed and was very cosy. We did not use many of the facilities as we moved on in the morning but having a quick look round everywhere looked to be the same standard as the toilets. The dog walking area was also very nice with a river running through it and there was plenty of space for kids to play although we did not find any kids play equipment. The site may be a bit tricky to find without sat nav. But was quite well sign posted from the town centre. We will be using this site again.

We found very friendly and helpful staff on reception and it was no problem for them to sort out our campervan/tent/car combo. The toilet block was warm and clean with plenty of hot water. There were separate cubicles with basins as well as showers. The site is five minutes walk from the town centre. There is a large Co-op a couple of minutes from the site as well as the Moffat Mill which does cooked breakfasts. We can recommend the Stag pub, good food and atmosphere. We would definitely stay on this site again.

Used this site before on my way up to Scotland. Stayed for 3days. Weather wet and the grass was soaked. Most if not all the pitches had hard standing which is very good. The toilet block is very clean and the staff are very helpful. The site is situated 500yds from town, some nice pubs which are dog friendly. I found the Stag was very good. There is also Moffat Mill which is similar to Edinburgh woolen mills. Similar prices. Moffat is a quite village, well worth a couple of days of anybody's time
