The upside; This is a friendly campsite, with good facilities,
A short walk in Moffat, selection of shops and plenty of places to eat & drink both outside and inside.
The downside; The campsite is pretty cramped. Don't go on the suggested 50 mile circle route, that takes on you down a hair-pin steep descent single track road. (Avoid the first left after the Grey-mare tails waterfall. )

Everything about our visit was excellent.
It was easy to book, the guy helping us to berth our motorhome was welcoming, friendly and very helpful,
And the large site was very well managed, being quiet in the evening, and the facilities were top class.
It was also within walking distance of the town.
We’ll certainly try to stay there again.

Went to Moffat camping and caravan club site and was pleasantly surprised by the relaxed atmosphere.
The small friendly town, even though they had some COVID cases couldn’t have been more welcoming.
We enjoyed the place so much that we booked for a November break.

I really didn't enjoy this campsite, it's a busy, packed field - felt a little like a grassy car park - no attempt to break up the pitches or add any character.
There is only one toilet block and it was constantly closed - goodness knows what you'd do if you were in a tent.
Can't sit outside cos there's constant noise from lawn mowers, strimmers and then a blower cleaning up after the other two.
Won't be coming back and couldn't recommend it to anyone !

Excellent site. Excellent staff.
One of the best camping & caravan sites we have stayed on.
Toilet sparkling and never full. Pitches are a good size and easy access.
Access to site is a bit off putting as we thought we were going in a back alley.
Moffett is a lively little town with plenty of pubs and places yo eat

Have always struggled to book onto this site (obviously popular).
Really love Borders and Moffat- won't be staying here again however - you have the friendly club and the rules club. This was not relaxed and not friendly. No views, no shops.
The independent site the days before were far more enjoyable, relaxed and well catered.

We have just spent 2 nights at this level site on the edge of Moffat. The staff were welcoming and kept the toilet and shower block spotless. Unfortunately the block is closed between 1030-12, with no alternative loos.
Moffat is a pleasant town with lots of independent shops and places to eat and there is a Co –Op only 5 minutes walk from the site.
We had an excellent takeaway pizza from a wood fired pizza stall right next to the site entrance. At the other end of the site is a café called the Green Frog which had sit in and takeaway food available.
We went for a c 34mile cycle ride from the site which was on mainly very quiet roads.

Liked the location as close to town for shopping and coffee bars. Lots of nice places to eat.
Most of the staff are nice but 2 of them are absolutely appalling and badly need to go on a customer service course - so rude and arrogant they should not be in a customer facing job.
We paid for a 5x8 metre pitch and were given a 3. 8x8 metre pitch and was ordered to take down our awning as it encroached onto the grass.
They wouldn't listen to reasoning and we asked warden to come and measure pitch he refused to do so - just ordered us to take it down.
Will never be back to the site and seriously thinking of leaving the club. Report going into head office - totally spoiled our holiday.

Fairly typical club site, good facilities etc. , but toilet block a bit of a walk from some parts of the site.
Very busy when we were there and a bit of a mix up with the pitches on arrival.
Also they made our friends take down their awning and move it, having previously told them they could pitch anywhere.
Nothing in particular to praise or criticise.
