Really friendly, helpful staff - managers live in caravan in the middle of the site.
Great children's playground with a real boat to play on, wavy slide, see-saw etc.

Can't do justice to the views - you have to see it to believe it.
5 minutes walk to local pub with very reasonable food. Another 5 minutes to the steam train station with 2 pubs. A further 5 mintues to Churston Court which is one of my favourite pubs and has to be visited (possibly not by children though and the food is a little overpriced but the experience is worth it) which is then 10 minutes walk to a pebble beach in a secluded cove.

We will be going back regularly. With children next time so may have more to report than pub crawl.

A peaceful rural site in beautiful surroundings, central for nearby Torbay resorts. Site well planned and maintained. Washroom facilities are good and very clean. Owners and staff helpful and friendly. Designated play area for children, with equipment they seemed to enjoy. Good beaches nearby, or go across the ferry to Blackpool or Slapton sands.

Superb views over the River Dart, lots of wildlife, enjoyed watching the buzzards flying over the site. Site central for attractions in the area. A good base for lovely walks.

Frequent bus service from main road to resorts, saves the hassle of parking, day rover tickets a good buy.

Village pub: food just OK, maybe an “off day”, didn’t go back to see! Good fish and chip shop nearby.

A site that we will be using again.

This was our first camping experience as a family. Needless to say, it rained for most of the week, but there was a great range of things to do in the area to keep us all entertained. The site was ideal - small and extremely friendly, with a mixute of families and older couples. The washing facilities were spotless and the view from the site memorable. Highly recommended.

We spent a week here in August and were delighted with the site. The booking process was friendly and helpful and our pitch had a cracking view of the Dart estuary. Most tent pitches are slightly sloping and all were occupied due to the time of year, which made life cosy but never too intrusive. The morning stroll up to the shop was a pleasure. Its small but seemed to have everything we ever needed. We can also endorse the earlier comments on the quality of the croissants, ordered a day in advance.

Continue down the lane past the site entrance and you will find Greenway quay, an idyllic landmark of the Dart and a perfect venue for the kids to try some crabbing! A central base for many local attractions, steam trains and boats when the weather wasnt shouting 'beach' at us in the mornings.
Friendly, helpful owners always add to the experience of the stay, and the beauty of Dartmouth and the surrounding area make this site well worth a visit.

My family and I have just returned from a visit to Galmpton Touring Park, and I must say it was well worth the visit.

The staff are very very friendly, with nothing being too much trouble. Although there were children on the site (our's included) it was still peaceful, which was very nice.

The views are to die for, I have not seen views like it from a campsite, also the toliet facilites are excellent and cleaned on a regular basis.

I too have booked marked this site as we will be returning shortly, and would recommend this site to anyone.

Site is a little challenging to access from the main road but good views once you get there. Shower block is clean, well maintained and pleasant to use. One complaint - each pitch is two tents deep, leaving the one behind with very little access space. On a busy summer, with both rows full, we could have had problems parking the car!

Very friendly staff. Pitches with the best view are reserved for small tents so that everyone can enjoy the stunning scenery. You can order a newspaper and fresh bread for the following day (we can recommend the giant croissants which apparently are made by a lady in the village!).

The site is a short walk from the local pub serving decent pub grub at very reasonable prices. There's also loads to do in this area (country walks, ferry trips, steam train etc) - much of which is within walking distance of the campsite.

We will definitely be returning.

We visited this site recently and were knocked out by the lovely view. The pitches are level to gently sloping. The washing, toilet facilities are close to all pitches and are very clean and modern. The owners are very helpful and friendly and always on hand. Dogs are welcome, except in peak season and must be kept on the lead. There is a very small dog walking, poo plot.
This is a small quiet site and suited us now that we are the wrong side of 40 (still just about!)The local pub is 15 minutes away and serves food which seemed adequate. I have added this to my favourites page as we will definately go again.

This is a nice site which is quiet.

All caravan pitches appear to be on a slope, it was very muddy when we went and we had trouble placing our van, the owners helped to push our van in.

The owners are friendly, the views superb, the site is quiet and there is a small shop.

The toilet disposal area can be a trek but we only did this twice.

We would go again - we will visit Dartmouth by train & ferry.

The Torbay & Dartmouth railway runs alongside but you can't see the trains as they are in a cutting.

The station is a short drive away and the pub next door is quite good. We did not test the pub in Galmpton village.

The Dart is very scenic and spring is good for a train ride as the trees haven't yet blocked the view of the river.

Great site with beautiful views of the Dart estuary from most pitches. The tent field is conveniently located by the shower and toilet blocks, which were clean and adequate. Not all pitches for tents are level so it may be worth booking before you arrive to ensure a level pitch.

A lovely quiet and peaceful location with a pub within 10 mins walk that has a good menu at reasonble prices.

Well worth a visit. We have just spent a wonderful week there.
