Fantastic campsite. The pitches are large 10m x 10m. Toilets and showers kept clean. Showers very hot. Very good price for this area. Owners very accommodating, making space for some friends who were joining us. They are helpful and friendly, making booking easy and our stay lovely.
Plenty of space for the children to run about and felt very safe letting my six year old go to the toilet facilities on her own as it is visible from every area of the field.
Our children loved the stream, forest and rope swings. Horses use the stream and forest and deer come on site after dark.
Love Brockenhurst and new forest - my chill out place. Local shops are good. A small Tesco, fantastic bakery, grocers and buthcers in high street.
Only got back a few hours ago and wish I was still there. Will definitely go back.

We booked this site at short notice and the owners were very friendly on the phone. We arrived a little earlier than the 1pm time we were told we could pitch from and were met by the friendly owner who told us where the facilities were, the walks, the stream, and where our pitches were ( there were 2 families).
It was extremely hot when we pitched and went straight to the stream which was mostly in the shade. There was a rope swing for the kids which they loved. This was only a few minutes walk from the site. The stream was muddy in places and the kids did get very dirty one day. We saw deer close by and were told that they do roam free around the site.
There were cycle paths to follow if you wish nearby. The facilities were clean but basic, portable cabins for the loos and showers. We didn't have to queue at all. This site is in a lovely setting, quiet as it is not near the road and excellent for the kids who loved the space to run around and play games and go to the stream. I would definitely return.

Excellent site. Totally recommended.
Chose to go here as opposed to Roundhill which would have been our site of choice, as I feel the prices are too high for what you get.
This site is within the grounds of New Park, which is a Hotel & Spa. The road in is a little rough in places, and can be tricky to exit, as it's the main Brockenhurst / Lyndhurst road, but nothing to worry about and no road noise.
It's a large open field, bordered by forest on three sides, and with direct access to cycle trails / walks via a gate in the bottom right hand corner. The walk to Brockenhurst is very picturesque, and took about 30 mins at a slow amble. The walk into Lyndurst is about an hour, but if you don't fancy the walk back, the number 56/56a bus from Lyndhurst stops right outside the entrance to the campsite. The top half of the field (nearest the entrance) gets sun most of the day.
There are now 14 premium pitches with electric hook-up, which we took advantage of, which are placed round the edge on two sides. All of them are a good size, but pitches 1-5 do get smaller due to the path, so check with the warden if you have a large unit.
Excellent showers as stated before, and I didn't have to queued once.
All in all, a great campsite at an excellent price.Couple of things to note which aren't on the website :-
Arrivals is 1-8pm. Depart by 12 noon
Website price is for two adults & pitch, so allow extra for kids.
Campsite closed during New Forest Show week, as it's held on the site (end of June usually).
Special thanks go to the warden who helped out with practical advise, as my son's school friend went down with a throat infection the day we got there, and there was no GP/NHS service available over the bank holiday weekend. The warden's a qualified nurse. Could be handy.

Arrived Friday afternoon to helpful warden and his wife who checked us in and pointed out the loos, showers etc and gave us a map of the local town (Brockenhurst) pointing out the Tescos and car parks etc.
We and our friends had 2 pitches side by side. The pitches are very large; we have an Outwell Vemont XL and could have put 2 of them on the one pitch! The site only had 20 odd tents on it on Friday night. (We were told we had the last two adjacent pitches for the weekend!) the site did get busier on Saturday and Sunday but didn’t look full by any means.
Wash showers and loos always very clean, seemed to be cleaned by and external contractor at least 3 times a day and the wardens also did their bit too!
There is no shop on site, but there are two “towns” (large villages?) within 5 mins drive; Lyndhurst and Brockenhurst with a Tescos, camping / outdoors shop, butchers etc. (Lyndhurst suffers with a nightmare 1 way system that causes 5-10 minutes of stop start traffic on the approaches at peak times)
We took our dog and he enjoyed it. There were other dogs on site and a retriever who lives on site too. There were deer in the next field and they walk through the site on quieter nights. There is a stream / creek behind the site (fenced, access via gate) which the kids had fun swinging over.
One slight downside is the limited sink space for washing up. That said, our party only had to wait on 2 occasions (from 7 meals) and then only for 1 person to finish up each time.

The site was fairly full (not full due too slightly dodgy weather) but we had loads of space for our 3-man tent plus a huge amount of room for playing football / kites / etc.
A really lovely site - very friendly and relaxing. As other reviews have stated, the facilities are fairly basic but I like it that way and they were always clean and well maintained. The showers were great, hot and strong!
We spent much of out time cycling on the many cycle paths which are right on your doorstep. We covered many miles on the well maintained paths although I would recommend carrying a map to make sure that you don't get lost.
On the one rainy day that we had we managed to visit the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu. My 10yo son was in heaven, especially with the Top Gear exhibition there. All in all a good day out.
I would recommend this site to anyone looking for back-to-basics camping in a lovely location. We will certainly return.

WOW! Right in the heart of the New Forest, with deer staring at you from the other side of the field. No need to use your car if you like forest walking, right on the doorstep! Alan was lovely and friendly and very helpful.
Flat and spacious pitch, we have a large tent and we like EHU so we were very happy with our plot.
Facilities were in portable cabins, but immaculate. Washing up inside too. Water always piping hot.
Short walk to Brockenhurst and also a great base for the beaches of Bournemouth. We don't do pubs so have no idea, but plenty of shops / take aways in Brockenhurst.

This was our first visit to the new forest and booked relatively last minute considering we were going over the August bank holiday, We arrived and was given a welcome pack and a quick visual tour of the camping field
The pitches are big and spacious and there is plenty of room inbetween campers even if, like us you have a big tent, Toilets and showers are very clean and only had to queue a very short time for the showers at peak time
The campsite backs directly onto the forest and awoke every morning after the bank holiday when there were less campers on site with our tent surrounded by wild deer
All in all an excellent friendly site and will definitely be coming back here next time.

Just returned from our first family camping trip. We went with two other families and there was loads of room for us all on the three pitches. Backing onto the woods meant hours of fun for the kids and we didn't feel concerned about their safety at any time.
As said in the other reviews the facilities on offer are good and very clean, someone seemed to be cleaning on every trip we made to the shower / bathroom. Site managers were lovely and friendly.
Short walk/cycle to Brockenhurst for pubs & shops. Lyndhurst a bit further away but still a nice walk or cycle.
The site was full for the bank holiday weekend but despite this it didn't feel busy or cramped and the facilities were still kept very clean.
Happy to recommend to others and will return again.

Very peaceful site in beautiful surroundings, with excellent clean toilet and shower facilities with lots of hot water. No play area for children, but the surrounding woods offered lots of alternatives, including a stream and tarzan swings over it! Deer in the next field and in the camping field at night! Very helpful owners, who are a mine of information about everything from the weather to the best beaches. Much quieter site than neighbouring ones, although it did fill up at the weekend, although even then it didn't seem packed and there was plenty of room for everyone. Nice washing-up facility, although a single bowl not enough for the site! Lots of walks and cycleways all around, Brockenhurst in easy walking distance, even for our 4yo. Good shops in Brockenhurst, plenty of food outlets around too. Lots of families and very little noise, even when the site was full.

Everywhere else was full for the weekend so we didn't have a lot of choice of site, but no regrets at all! Ended up going the following 2 weekends as well! Would definitely recommend it. It is a VERY basic site, but loos and showers kept very clean.
Site is as described in other reviews, only downside (if you can call it that) is the lack of washing up facilities but we soon got the hang of boiling a kettle to wash up outside our tent.
If you need ice, the Londis shop as you go into Brockenhurst on the right sells it in big bags.
