 Just come back from a long weekend at this site, and was very pleased with our choice! The camp site had various areas where you could camp, a open field, and a more natural camping field, we chose the more natural field, and pitched next to a small wood!
The toilet facilities were close, the site has 5 toilets (one is gents only), 1 washing up area, a shower room, and a bath with shower over, which was great as I had a little one!
There is also an enclosed children's play area with trampoline, slide, swing, sandpit! Also there was a brilliant information room, that had the weather forecast pinned up daily, which I thought was a really good idea! (unfortunately we had rain!)
The owners were so friendly and helpful! And the fact that you could have camp fires just topped the weekend off! With a small charged of a couple of pounds for firewood! Bargain!
Lovely walks, and about 15 minutes walk to the nearest pub!
And about a 10 minute drive to Keswick,which is a lovely place!
Would definitely visit again! It was very organised, to say that it has only been a camp site for 4 months!
Only downside was the lack of shower rooms, but wouldn't put me off visiting again!
