Excellent campsite, friendly, helpful staff.
The pub was great too, great food and service. The weather helped it was beautiful all weekend.
Our grandkids joined us one night as we were babysitting and the 3 year old loved the park.

The Site was very clean and good toilet facilities, for the price of £30 a night we would have hoped everything was included, but if you wanted a shower you had to pay extra.
It was very noisy due to being along side a railway track and a main road, but that aside it was very accessible and very clean and tidy

My son and I stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Goodwood Festival of Speed as the site is 20 mins from the event, so perfect for location.
Next to the river and a quiet location in general.
The site is great, a little basic maybe, however perfect for what I / we needed for our stay.
The toilet block was always clean and the staff were always chatty and friendly and pleased to help.
There is an on site playground for the kids, a pub for the adults. Hardstanding pitches with electric hookup, fresh water taps dotted around. We couldn't have asked for anything else.
Maybe the showers should be free / included in the price? And maybe just price per pitch / pitch type?
All in all a great spot and we really enjoyed our stay!

Site well kept and well situated.
Good walks along river to littlehampton and arundel (although very overgrown, unfortunately!)
Good pub on site. Plenty of space.

The site is really well located for exploring the towns, cities and resorts of West and East Sussex. It comprises a couple of lovely fields and the grass is really well looked after.
The shower blocks were very basic, and clearly haven't been updated since the 1970s, most of the washbasin taps not working. However the shower water was hot and plentiful.
Our issue though, which completely spoiled our holiday, was the permanent smell of rotting rubbish. The site owners or management were clearly trying to cut costs by emptying the massive rubbish skip as seldom as possible. The whole site stank - it was like camping adjacent to a municipal tip.
The chemical waste disposal point was also the smelliest we have ever come across in 10 years of motorhoming and caravanning. Again, I would guess that the septic tank needed emptying but the owners didn't want to spend the money in doing so.
I almost never leave reviews, but our camping experience at the Ship and Anchor was so bad

Very enjoyable couple of nights. Check in was easy, staff was friendly and informative.
Showers was a £1 for a token. Basic but clean, plenty of toilets. Wash up area drinking water tap. Had an on site shop which you could get basis.
The pub did nice food and the train station just a 5 min walk was handy. We went into littlehampton, but you could get to Brighton, Arundel, Chichester, Bognor
Would definitely be back.

We chose this site due to previous reviews and its location. Getting into the site was easy enough.
The pitch size was generous and had more than adequate space for our caravan, awning and car was level and pretty even under foot. The electrics were good with no odd drop offs or tripping.
We had a fair amount of rain one evening and was glad to see that the field had drained well in the morning. The pitches in the middle of the field are exposed to the wind.
The campsite staff were friendly and helpful and walked us too our pitch and explained and showed us where everything was and what was available from the little shop on site.
The nearby trains can be heard from the campsite but were not intrusive we found them rather calming
The bathrooms and toilets were adequate and served the purpose that they are intended for. In response to some previous feedback yes they are dated but very clean and well maintained.
There is a charge for the showers and tokens need to be purchased from the shop, I would have thought that the £1 charge could have been absorbed into the pitch price or to have used coins instead of tokens for ease of use.
The pub was easy to get to and no noise from the pub could be heard from our pitch on the campsite.
The pub was welcoming and had some live music on the Sunday afternoon and an open mic night on the Tuesday. The ale was good with a good selection of lagers, ciders and spirits. We didn’t eat in the pub; however the food that came out of the kitchen looked good.
The staff were friendly and attentive, my only gripe was that they didn’t sell HSB.
Ford railway station is a 5 minute walk along a pavement from the campsite and has good regular trains to Portsmouth, Bognor, Brighton and other, we found this such a boon as we were able to leave the car behind and use the train with our railcard to go exploring.
Just beyond the pub is the River Arun with a footpath to the left and right towards either Arundle or Littlehampton, we were told that the paths were overgrown in places and not always easy to navigate. We did have a little mooch but didn’t go too far.
Overall we found this a great site and would be very happy to use again.

Very nice and friendly campsite. Well set out with plenty of space.
Next to the river and local walks. Not far from arundle or chichester.
Always welcoming.
Facilities are good and has small shop. Pub on site with great food and friendly atmosphere.
Campsite and pub both very dog friendly

Good site caters more for caravans / motorhomes. You can camp (tent) around the edges but the electric hook ups are more for caravans and Motorhomes so are a bit exposed.
It would be nice to see some protection for large tents - there’s bull rushes around the side and all the small tents nestle as close to these as possible but large tents using electric have to go in the middle so it can get very windy as the close proximity to the river and the site in general is very open.
I’d definitely recommend a wind break - especially if you’re using electric.
