Upper Hurst Farm is a lovely little site set in in beautiful surroundings.
We pitched for three nights in the central grassed area with EHU. WE were welcomed by Amy, shown to our pitch and had all the amenities explained to us. Our tent was facing towards the back of the site with the lovely views beyond.
The amenities block is excellent. There are three showers, three toilets and three sinks in the ladies with under-floor heating, hairdryer and plenty of hooks for towels, clothes, soap bags etc.
The showers are excellent, very powerful with a straight forward on/off tap. The shower cubicles are long enough not to worry about wet clothing and there are 5/6 hooks on the back of the door and a stool and water blade in each one.
There is a kitchen next to reception that has 2 sinks, a freezer for ice packs only, washing machine, dryer, kettle and microwave. There is a separate field and play area for ball games, no ball games are allowed by the pitches so no annoyance caused by stray balls.
There is a 10pm curfew on noise and no loud music is allowed at any time resulting in a peaceful site. There is a lovely short cut across the fields to The Manifold Inn, the food is ok.
When you book the site owners send you information on the local restaurants they recommend, the best one we went to was The Reform Inn. The site is conveniently located near the start of the Manifold Track.
Upper Hurst Farm is a great site and I wouldn't hesitate to return when in the area again.

We had a really wonderful stay at Upper Hurst Farm a nice reunion mid point meet up with my sister.
We loved the campsite, views, hot showers, fire pit and everyone respectful of each other with privacy, quiet and made our camping experience memorable.
The staff ran it so well and had everything we needed on site.
We will definitely return again a good location for walking cycling and enjoying nature.
A nice spot for dog owners who were very respectful of the quiet location with no barking or noise.

The camp site is excellent. The couple that run the site are helpful & welcoming.
The toilet & shower block are updated and well maintained as is the whole shop area/reception.
Great that you can hire fire pits & buy logs etc.
Great location close to lots of walks & cycle rides with a lovely pub right by the entrance.

Situated in beautiful countryside, this site is delightful.
Spotless amenities, friendly staff and wonderful views from the site. We had a fully serviced pitch.
Easy to walk to the pub. Various other places/attractions within a reasonable distance.

One of the best! Fantastic welcome.
Lovely site with amazing views. Great clientele! Lots of young kids.
Everyone followed the 10pm curfew. The bathrooms were exceptional!
Only small gripe was we were quite close to the other tents.

This was the second time we had visited this beautiful site. It is well maintained with superb views all around. We stayed mid-week and it was very quiet, which was an added bonus.
Pitches are fully-serviced which is great. The site is close to the lovely village of Hartington which has a few shops and two pubs plus cafes.
There are walks from the site or within a short drive. Dovedale is approximately 6 miles away and Bakewell about 8 miles. We did not visit any of the local inns as not all were open due to Covid.
We will definitely visit this site again - such a brilliant location.
