Unfortunately not the best campsite we’ve been to. The Camp Rules are no amplified music and no noise after 11PM, however there were many groups of people with music blaring (including loud car stereos) all day right up until well after midnight. There were gangs of teenagers running around screaming and swearing until the early hours of the morning. Fortunately the warden dealt with the situation fairly quickly but seemed to turn a blind eye to the loud music, parties and dogs running off the lead. The facilities are basic; many days there was no hot water and no lights in the ladies washroom (and no plugs in the sinks). On the positive side, the staff kept the toilets and washrooms very clean in quite challenging conditions as it rained every day for a week whilst we were there. We were a group of 3 families with children from 2 to 9 and we love a good time just as much as the next camper but there seem to be little respect for your fellow camping neighbours. It’s a relaxed site, ideal for groups but just a little bit too relaxed with management not able to uphold the rules. Sorry, but not sure we will be returning.

From good to sublime. VERY SPECIAL.
Last week, my girlfriend and I decided that we would go camping for the first time as a couple (and the first time for me EVER). I don't think we could have picked a much better place to break my camping virginity. We arrived on a Saturday, a time at which the site was quite busy with many tents and fires dotted all over the three fields Park Farm boasts. Although at first we were a tad disconcerted, the numbers meant there was great atmosphere throughout.
Sunday was a completely different kettle of fish. Almost all at once, the tents around us packed up and set off home, leaving us an our little 2 man in the middle of a huge field almost on our own. This revealed a completely different side to the site, a side that allowed for a really mellow, relaxed and even romantic time. The site remained this way for the following two days at which time we sadly had to pack our things and head home.
I guess if camping with others isn't your bag, come on a weekday. I was assured by staff that the Sunday transformation is a regular occurrence and when we return (which we certainly will) it'll be on a Monday. This isn't to say that the Saturday wasn't great, it's just the weekdays made us feel like we could be anywhere in the world.

Lovely weekend
My three children, my wife and I arrived at Park Farm last monday and decided we were going to stay for the week. Having already booked an electric hookup over email, we turned up without a hitch (not literally) and we set up for the night. It was a lovely quite week and we got all that we were promised; lovely open fires, clean facilities and a great play area. The pitches we were in (Green something) was extremely spacious and ideally placed for toilets/showers etc. One of the highlights of the week was the walk to picturesque Bodiam Castle. The well walked path along the river rother begins in the camp site itself and takes you all of the way to the castle and pub! Great food and beer garden!
The staff on site are extremely helpful and quick to assist in any way they can. We originally forgot our orange electric lead but were thankfully relieved by the caretaker who rushed over with one of their own.
Great stay 5*.

This was our first visit to Park Farm so as it was short notice, we telephoned to check availability. Our call was answered quickly. We were told to just come along as we didn't need an electric hook-up. We
Arrived on a friday at about midday. It is cash only, which was fine as we had read this on the website. Pitches are not marked out so we could choose our spot. Although a little busier, we chose the first field as it is near the play area and shower block. Our 7 year old went straight off to play while we set up. Over the weekend the sight got very busy but it was a good atmosphere, although a little noisier, which was to be expected. The toilets and showers are perfectly adequate and regularly cleaned. The toilet tissue in the ladies only ran out once on the Saturday due to the volume of people but this was replaced as soon as possible.
I loved the fact that camp fires are allowed and logs sold on site for £3. 50 per bag ( 2 bags lasted us 3 nights).
The snack bar is great and the owners can't do enough for you.
All in all, this is a lovely child friendly site with a relaxed feel. If you don't like a lively atmosphere, my advise would be to avoid weekends.
It is also a great base for visiting Bodium castle, which with a child is about a 35 minute walk along the river.
I would definitely go back for another visit and would recommend to others.

Lovely camp-site owners very friendly, price very reasonable. Site is very tidy and other guests very friendly.
Only downside is it was very busy but that was to be expected with the kids on holiday.
Showers very clean and well looked after. Will recommend to everyone.
You have to drive to local amenities but not too far away.
Play area for kids is fantastic and lovely place to take walks as its very beautiful.

Park farm is one of the most complete campsites I've visited in my 20 years of camping. Now visiting with children, the site was everything we wanted it to be. Safe, clean and friendly. With a large space that allows you can pitch wherever you'd like, you have the opportunity to go in shade, by the river, near the toilets, near the playground, as far away from all of the above as you'd like etc etc. The staff here were extremely helpful and friendly which made the holiday extremely jolly and, above anything else, easy.
The facilities and their cleanliness was great, and it was obvious that they worked hard to maintain this. I visited when the site was extremely busy, but, as I mentioned, you pitch wherever you like, which enabled me to go in a quiet area. Camp fires made for the best of atmospheres. There aren't many places that allow this these days, which is a shame. Our kids couldn't get enough. A real family treat!
I wanted to add that there was a small food kiosk on site that sold delicious burgers, fajitas and baked potatoes. The couple that run this are great and really sorted our family with great food and laughs.

We have been to this site several times and the things we love about it are the river swimming, when hot enough, walks to bodiam castle and great pub just opposite, food fab, not cheap but worth it for a treat. The site is very rural and massive, kids play area is massive including an undercover play area in barn. Its a very popular site and sometimes can get crowded. The only downside for me is the late night parties, there, s a great atmosphere and we always have a great time but don't expect lights out at 11pm, more like 2am ! We like to have fires and a few drinks but as we have kids, it lights out for us around 11pm and we have been kept awake by larger much younger groups, we were young once, so do understand but as there is so much room at park farm and 3 fields, then maybe they should think about putting the larger groups together in back field.

Length of Stay: 2 Nights (Friday to Sunday)
Unit: Medium Sized Tent (2 Adults, 1 Child)
Having been here before we were already impressed by the site so when we decided at the last minute to take advantage of the nice weather to visit the beach and test out our new Airbeam tent we instantly thought of Park Farm.
I emailed the site at around 11. 00 am and received an email back a couple of hours later. We had requested a two night stay with an electric pitch and there was one available. The staff who answered my email was very helpful. We were delayed slightly in leaving and caught some heavy traffic on the M25. I emailed them and they said not to worry and that the gates close at 10. 00.
We arrived at 8. 00pm and were allocated our pitch. We were in the Red Zone which has the added advantage of being near the facilities and the playground. It does mean however, that people have to walk past your tent to use said facilities and therefore make noise. Having said this most people were quite considerate late at night, we only had a couple of inconsiderate people shouting at 1. 00am but this is not the fault of the campsite.
Showers/Toilets:
The showers were a bit hit and miss with regards to temperature but they worked. As long as you shower early in the morning or later in the evening you should get a decent tempertaure of shower. That being said I do like really hot showers! My husband said that the showers in the mens block were very good, clean and warm enough fo him.
The toilets were always clean and stocked with loo roll and the hand baisins were always clean and stocked with soap.
Playground:
Our six year old daughter loved it. Enough to keep her amused whilst not being too big to be intimidating. They have swings in the converted barn and a slide and climbing frame type obstacle course int he middle. Also an old steam engine to climb over. There is also lots of open space for the children to run around in and mine always seem to make friends.
Food & Drink:
Last time we were here there was a little van selling food and a few snacks. There is still a van selling drinks and snacks but they also do some food. We didn't eat anything but it is great to arrive and have a cup of coffee before setting up without having to rummage around the car/roofbox for a kettle and EHU! They also sell Marshmallows and sticks if you forget to bring these with you which was a god-send.
Campfires:
The log man comes around in the evening. Don't panic if he drives past you the first time as this happened to me. He will most likely be back a bit later so keep an eye out. Logs are £4. 00 for a baga dn kindling was £3. 00. There have been reviews on here saying the logs were softwood and burnt very quickly. We had the complete opposite experience. The logs all appeard to be hardwood logs and burned for hours. We eventually had to douse the fire to got to bed as we were very tired. I would like to take this opportunity to say that I was dismayed at the amount of people who went to bed with the embers of their fire still glowing away happily. We have always taught our children that you never leave a fire unattended and you never ever go to bed with embers still burning. Again - this is the fault of the campers and not the site.
Surrounding Area:
Park Farm is in the middle of nowhere and there is no convenience store on site. If you anything you will have to remember to either bring it with you or ask directions to the local store.
We came to Park Farm with the specific intent of going to Camber Sands on the Saturday and maybe visiting Hever Castle on the Sunday, we skipped the castle as the Tennis was on and we wanted to get home and watch it! There are many things to do and see in this part of the world. Hasting is about 15 minutes away and Camber Sands is 30 Minutes. There is also Battle Abbey and Bodium and Hever castles within easy driving distance.
OVERALL:
We love it here. The atmosphere is lovely and there are enough facilities to keep you happy without having too many and the price being inflated as a result. We find this site very good value for money and will definitely be using it again in the near future for further exploring around Kent/East Sussex.
So, in conclusion. Yes, there will be the occasional drunken person/people who decide to shower at three AM and tell the whole site about it. If you are the last in the queue for the showers then they will be colder than the first shower. The site can do nothing about the sometimes strange and anti-social behaviour of a small proportion of it's patrons. The site itself, the staff and the facilities that they provide have been improved over that last few years and I am sure they will continue to improve where necessary. We had a fabulous time and cannot wait to go back again.

This site was really good and made our weekend away super. As part of a trip around the South East we stayed at this campsite, certainly one of the best we found.
The facilities were clean and more than adequate for our stay. They seemed to be cleaned fairly regularly. The showers were free and hot! No tokens required which made it far easier in the mornings!
There was a walk along the river to the local village. The village had a very good pub which served excellent food and dare I say a rather nice beverage or two! The castle was also fascinating to visit and it being only a 20 minute walk away meant we did not have to take the motorhome with us!
We enjoyed using the snack van which had a good selection of food. It was a real bonus not needing to cook the whole time!
The staff were friendly when we arrived and we were shown to our pitch. There was a warden who walked round checking we were having a nice time which was a nice touch.

Went away for a few nights camping on a whim - surprisingly excellent few days. My wife and I walked to the castle everyday and enjoyed the beautiful scenery.
The facilities at the campsite were clean and it was pleasant to have a shower each morning.
The evenings were lovely, lounging around a campfire with other campers.
The overall experience was relaxing and everything ran smoothly. The location was perfect - in the heart of the idyllic countryside.
The staff were very kind and welcoming, definitely going to visit again.
