First time to this site and we really enjoyed it.

The pitches are mainly grass (which we like) but there are some hard standings.

The site managers were very friendly and kept the facilities spotless. I think that the facilities must have been upgraded recently as they seemed modern.

Wi Fi was very good from our pitch until the site became full, when it became intermittent. The mobile signal on O2 was quite poor but the television signal was very good.

There is a fairly easy walk to Craster from the site and we were given a pictorial map of a circular walk which took in both Dunstanburgh castle and Craster.

The local pub serves in the village of Dunstan very good food and the beer isn't bad either.

We would stay on this site again.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome.

The staff were all friendly and helpful and had a lot of local knowledge.

The facilities were spotless and the whole site was well cared for.

You can tell the staff enjoy working at Proctor's Stead and care about the place and the people staying there.

They made a fuss of our two dogs and there was always a treat for them when we passed reception.

This was our first stay, but it certainly won't be our last.

Lovely site in an excellent location.

Well maintained facilities with shop on site.

10 minutes walk to pub with food and bus stop.

About a mile from the coast and village of Craster.

Good walks from the site. We would return.

My 4th visit to this site.

It's well maintained, my pitch was peaceful with a view over the fields to the North of the site.

A great base for cycling the coastal cycle paths and roads.

The coastal walks are immediately accessible and ideal for nature spotters.

I'm particularly grateful to the hosts and their response to my forgotten cycle shirt (found in shower cubicle). Within a day of getting a post paid package to them I received my shirt.

I'll return again.

Loved all of it - its location was perfect and it was spotlessly clean.

The owners were friendly and helpful.

We didn't want to leave and will certainly be back.

Sites always clean and tidy

Pitches are level

Dogs are allowed you have to exercise off site but plenty of walking areas to hand

There’s hard standing and grass with electric

It was helpful having a washing machine and drier on site

There’s a small shop with essential goods available

There are pubs and beaches within walking distance

The wardens were very pleasant and helpful. Although dated, the showers worked perfectly.

Site was very clean, well maintained and in a good location for exploring the Northumberland coast.

Best recycling facilities I have seen on a campsite.

I would recommend this site

 Pros=

Very nice and spacious site. Facilities dated but very clean and maintained well. Fairly flat pitches.

Cons=

I felt children were not welcome as many signs stated no ball games. May as well make it an adults only site.

Access not available after 7pm so if your running late due to traffic you can't get in. Also there is no waiting area as the entry/exit is barriers.

Local harbour is about 10min walk no shop but the 418/X18 bus goes to Alnick.
