May 2004 Visited here over the Bank Holiday weekend and place was heaving!!! Our pitch was in the field furthest away from washing, toilet amenities, so remember you bucket and lid!! Excellent for exploring Northumberland coast.. Craster, Seahouses, Bamburgh, Beadnell etc. Toilet amenities clean and showers(20p) for a couple of minutes. Site owner is full of local information and they're a friendly couple. You can also buy basic foodstuffs at their farmhouse. If you don't like cattle, keep away from the field we were in hehehehe... Got that close that when they inhaled our canvas moved, dog was petrified!!!

2003 We visited this site on a number of occassions in '03
Good level site with plenty of room for the kids, basic facilities but very clean.
This is a good base for exploring the Northumberland coastline and also easy to find as it is about 1/2 a mile from the "Coastal Route" which is signposted from the A19 / A189
Recommended.

May, June, July, August 2003 We visit this site as often as possible (only 30 miles from home). Though not very modern, the facilities are none-the-less both plentiful and clean and the site owner one of the friendliest - he has a genuine interest in the enjoyment of his customers stay - no rowdiness or misbehaved youths on this site.
The local pub (hotel actually), The Cottage Inn is within a short walk and is an absolute must with good beer and excellent, cheap meals.

September 2003 This site was heaven. Really peaceful and friendly. Probably more so end of season with so few visitors.
Facilities were great and very, very clean - which a must for some of us!
Would like to return with our children but there is no beach within reasonable walking distance (for smaller children) from the site.

aug 2003 Good clean site, nice facilities, lots of space and sometimes very open space meaning when its windy, Its very windy. The owners were very kind in refunding our advanced fees when our tent was wrecked by the winds. The surrounding areas were lovely too and was nice to just walk around the nearby villages. Not a great deal to do for young children, but are plenty animals about for them to see. But to reiterate, if it wasnt for our wrecked tent we would have happily stayed there for the remainder of our time there

August 2003 Stayed for 3 nights - smallish basic site - very clean - lots of families and therefore kids too - lovely location - 5 mins by car to beautiful Embleton beach with dramatic views of Dunstanburgh Castle - lots of country walks from the site. Definitely returning.

AUGUST 2002 stayed here for a long weekend with a large family group. we found the site to be in a perfect spot for exploring the northumbrian coastline.
showers and toilets decent.
campfires and barbies allowed on the bricks provided.
walking distance to a pub which serves great ( and copious ) amounts of food. it has an adventure play area hidden in the trees and a lovely garden to sit out in.
1 mile to the tiny fishing village of craster.
