This is our 4 time at Proctors Stead.
Thank you to Sally for being so accommodating and to all the staff who are always friendly and keen to help.
A few minor changes since our last visit, 1, security barriers 2, new reception with a little shop for your basics 3, no tents allowed anymore.
The toilet block is unchanged but still very clean and felt save to use during this covid time.
The site is well looked after with no frills.
Free wi-fi which is a bit hit and miss.
TV reception is fine.
The location is fabulous, you have 10 mins walk to the Cottage Inn and they have friendly staff and good food.
1 mile walk to Craster, small and beautiful with a pub and a small cafe / bakery, kipper shop and access to the stunning walk to Dunstanburgh castle.
Cannot fault this site, we will be back 😁

We have just returned from procters stead and it was fantastic, Bill and Julie were welcoming, helpful and couldn’t have done anymore for us.
The site is lovely, spotlessly clean and loved the recycling area. Even with covid they were fab, in fact on leaving rebooked to return.
From one fussy woman I would give this site 6* if I could, excellent value, great location and attentive owners
Thanks for a great couple of days

We really love this site. It is beautifully kept and well run with very friendly owners.
Very well situated to explore inland or the coast with Craster an easy walk down the hill - not too bad up either - where there is a lovely pub overlooking the sea and from where you can walk along the coast to Dunstanburgh castle and beyond.
We will always return there when in the area

Liked-
1. Clean and tidy site.
2. Free wifi (slow but ok)
3. Northumberland in general. (holy island and seahouses are excellent)
4. 10% discount for no showers or toilets, which were closed due to covid. (very fair policy imo)
5. Site is reasonably priced.
Disliked-
1. Dogs allowed, but you are strictly forbidden from walking them on the site. In 45 years of camping, this was a first🤔
2. Lots of static and seasonal residents here, which we find creates a them and us atmosphere.
3. Site is totally unsuitable for children. There is no play area whatsoever, and signs literally everywhere saying "NO BALL GAMES OR FRISBEES"

We very much enjoyed our stay at a beautiful and very well cared for site.
The team were very friendly and looked after us well. The pitches are beautifully flat and the camping ares kept pristine.
We will definitely return. It was worth the 5 hour journey to come here.

Lovely site very quiet, although there was a lack of facilities the campsite was well maintained. Staff were friendly.
Great location Craster and Dunstan within walking distance and other places of interest are only a short drive away.
I love Northumberland amazing beaches and county views.
We enjoyed the campsite so much we have booked August Bank Holiday weekend.
