Arrived on time our pitch number was on a notice board.
Pitch number two great pitch the new toilet shower block in the orchard was much improved from our last visit in 2018.
Friendly staff and a well kept site. We had two well behaved dogs and even though it’s a dog friendly place, we had to exercise them off site? There are walks
The pub next door is great we had food and drinks a couple of nights, they had Jeremy Clarkson lager the best lager we’ve ever tasted fruity but no gas but strong.
The Canal is close by with lots of walks in the area. We walked to Frampton on seven and Dursley.
We visited Bourton-on-the-Water, very busy with loads of shops pubs and cafes.
We found a 7 mile walk just out of town much quieter.
We parked on a grass field as you enter the the town from the main A road £5 all day.
We travelled from Lancashire for 4 nights 187 miles. Well worth it.

We were on pitch 54 which has a very open view across a large grass area. Our pitch and most of the others were flat.
Facilities which were nearest were good and very clean though needed some minor maintenance, door catches not working on some. Pot washing and laundry were excellent.
New facilities block in the orchard is now finished though some outside work ongoing, we didn’t use it but had a look and it’s great. Eat it the pub at the site entrance once and it was very good.
Staff on site near helpful and knowledgeable.
Site WiFi was useless on our pitch even the we paid for the hi speed option, following complaints to the provider ( not the site itself) our payment was refunded. Other areas on site it worked ok.
There is no view of the canal or direct access to the canal from the site you need to go out and over the road bridge to get to the towpath.
The nearest shop for provisions is about 3 miles away, even basics, milk bread etc are not available on site.

I can honestly say that I cannot fault this campsite, the pitches are spacious, it is absolutely spotless, I never as a rule ever use the toilet and shower blocks but these were exceptional so I did for the first time use them.
The pub on site we used every night, the atmosphere and food was beautiful, I would definitely recommend having food there, they are extremely dog friendly and I liked that it was only one side of the pub for the furry friends as my husband is allergic to dog hairs so we were able to sit in the main area where no dogs were allowed so it was perfect for all.
We will 100% return and also bring friends with caravans with us.

Loved everything about this site, spacious pitches, lovely quiet rural site,
Clean toilets and showers and as a little bonus there is a pub at the entrance to the site serving fab food.
We loved that it’s right next to the canal which provided lovely walks with the doggos.
UKCampsite has asked me to review child friendliness which I can’t comment on

We just spent 4 nights here and had a restful stay on a spotless site. Toilets and showers were spotless and plenty of hot water available.
The owners are hoping to have the newly refurbished Orchard shower block open soon but the builders are waiting for materials held up due to the Red sea attacks.
I'm sure it will be great when it's finished.
We ate a delicious Sunday carvery at the Black Shed and had a lovely boat trip to the hulks on the Severn.
Certainly one for a return visit in the future.

First class site. Friendly staff on arrival and for enquires about the area. Always nice to be greeted with smiles.
All facilities are nice and clean. Water taps are everywhere on site so no effort required.
The field in the middle would be brilliant for children to play while relaxing outside your pitch. However care must be taken because there is a stream alongside the pitches on one side.
We didn’t use the pub but had lunch in the Black Shed Cafe across the road and would recommend that, excellent food and such friendly staff.
Unfortunately, due to hospital appointment received after booking, we had to postpone this trip. A charge of £37. 50 was made, so for a 3 night break the cost of pitch was approximately £42 per night. To cancel meant losing our full payment. So maybe we will leave booking until last minute if we intend going again in future.
The reason for a lower mark on site location was down to us. With a large motorhome we struggle to find parking in villages etc with a hubby who has problems walking we do rely on public transport nearby. This will not stop us returning to such a lovely site.

Lovely site next to the canal and a short walk to Slimbridge wildfowl trust.
Currently updating 1 of the toilet blocks but as its low season adequate facilities available.
Good hardstanding pitches.
Pub next door and black cat cafe over the road.
Will definitely return
