We only stayed for one night to test out our new trailer tent. However, we were really impressed with the site - lovely quiet location, a pub next door, it's well looked after and there's plenty of room on each pitch. Plenty of hard standing pitches and level grass pitches. The toilet/shower block was lovely and clean with several showers and plenty of room round the hand basins. The Tudor Arms pub next door was great and we had a very nice meal at a reasonable price. Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to look round the area much but we would be more than happy to recommend this site to others. Will definitely return if we're down that way again.

First time campers having bought a tent the day before, this was a great way to start.
Easily booked on the phone on the day of our visit. Quiet site with excellent newly-built toilet/shower block which was kept very clean. The newly built office/shop needs to be commissioned quickly.
As a new camper I can't compare with other sites but overall I was very impressed. Everything clean and tidy, pub next door for food or try the Black Shed opposite for home made cakes. Bikes available to hire also at reasonable rates, Sharpness easily accessible along the tow path - make sure you visit the Purton Hulks and the remains of the Severn railway bridge. Great site also for visiting WWT at Slimbridge. Recommended.

Arrived 24th Feb for a few days' birdwatching, photography and cycling. It is a great venue and the pylons which appear on the OS maps etc. Are nowhere near as near as they look.
A generally well run site with obvious ongoing improvements - e.G. The reception is tucked away at present but a new block is being built.
New toilet block is great and although hot water seemed a bit slow, it got there in the end. Free showers - great!

Very pleasant site with open aspect. Obviously development plan in place with fairly new toilets in use and not quite finished groundworks outside and ongoing building work for what looks like new reception building, equipment store etc. Plenty to do in the area with Gloucester Historic Docks certainly worth a visit, cycling/walking along the canal bank, Slimbridge Wetlands centre about 1000 yards from site entrance. The Docks at Sharpness also interesting although mainly commercial there is a good view of the unusual harbour entrance and Severn River from a picnic area on the edge of the estuary. The small hamlet of Purton also worth a visit with the 'graveyard' of old wrecks along the estuary bank to protect the canal banks. This was also the site of the ill fated Severn & Wye Valley railway bridge.
The site has what appears to be three camping fields with the main field having hard standings with EHU and grass pitches and play area in the centre. The other two fields appear to be overflow camping fields possibly also for rallies etc. The hardstandings are a little perplexing in that they are only approx 14-15 ft wide and will not accommodate a caravan and awning completely. Without exception all vans with awnings had the front of the awnings overlapping onto the grass.
Tudor Arms pub at the site entrance very pleasant with reasonable priced meals, free WiFi for customers and also stocks Flowers Bitter!
Anyone planning a visit and is flexible with dates ought to check out the Tudor Campsite website where there is a link to the Severn Bore website where times of the best experience of the Bore can be seen.
Tesco supermarket at Cam on the Dursley road about 3 miles away.

WOW is all I can say about the new toilet block. Underfloor heating - absolute heaven in January - so good I've nominated it for the loo of the year.
Great site anyway, we've been here before. Hardstanding good, some major investment is being made on this site. Would certainly recommend for a nice quiet stay. Pub food good, walks good. Overall a nice site to stay on.

We stayed on what appears to be the newer camping field - new toilet / shower block and lots of young shrub planting that when grown will give a little more privacy from each row of pitches.
Site looked clean and tidy and fairly well cared for. On arrival at the gate there is building work and caravan storage, as soon as you get past this the view changes for the better.
Shower block was fairly clean - 5 or 6 ladies showers and a few vanity sinks.
The walks along the canal are literally minutes away. Likewise the Tudor Arms pub is between the site and the canal. Between 2-6pm there serve basket meals for £6 - good food and great value.
We paid £16 with ehu for 2 adults.

Tudor Caravan park is a lovely place to stay. We have just spent 4 relaxing and tranquil days there. The site is level with good size plots. The new heated toilet block offers a family bathroom and private washing cubicles which were all spotlessly clean. The adjacent pub has a friendly atmosphere and food is reasonable plus the little cafe at the boat shop means you can relax canalside with a sarnie and drink. The cycle path along the canal is right next to the campsite and it is only a 5 min bike ride up to the Wildfowl and wetlands Trust site by the Severn estuary. We will be back.

Just returned from weekend at site. Lovely location and weather was great for this time of year.
New shower block spacious but seems quite basic for a new block. Could possibly do with more hand driers and a couple of hair driers but then again there are some plug points for use with your own hairdrier that I never spotted until the last day.
We noticed a bit of confusion with emptying toilets and lots of people were going to the new motor home points and struggling with lifting up cover and then emptying toilets into said point. Perhaps notices would be a good idea pointing out that CDP was around the back of the new toilet block. Otherwise lovely site in lovely surroundings.

We have just stayed for two nights and found pitches very level and good sized.
The pitches had all been laid to gravel and the whole area well presented.
There is some more building work taking place at the entrance but we didn't know if this was further facilities or not
The toilet block looks virtually new and the site is ideally located for cycle trip along the canal and Slimbridge Wetlands centre.
The Tudors Inn at the site entrance was very welcoming with a good selection of food and beers all at reasonable prices.
We recommend this site and will make further visits.

Spent a weekend at this campsite. Nice flat pitches. Open area for games - which was well used by us, and other children joined in. The pitches were quite spacious and there are little (newish) hedges will should help separate areas in a few years.
The toilet block was very new, clean and provided plenty of toilets and showers. We never had to queue. The campsite is right by the canal, and there is a pub on the entrance to the campsite which provided good value food.
All in all, a good campsite and we would use it again.
