Spent 3 days at this site and the layout ir really great, lovely lawned are with gravel drives and hard standing, grass for tents, great toilets with free push button showers, small shelf for toiletries and a bench affair for your clothes, 3 pin plugs for your hair-dryer but no hair-dryers supplied so bring your own.
Campsite warden friendly.
We had dinner at the tudor but even though I ordered one thing a different meal came in its place, as it was quite nice anyway I didn't complain but mentioned it to the waitress who said that all the beef with mushrooms and red wine which is what I ordered almost all the orders had had a mix up and that chicken with gammon and leek which is what I got, not good for a mix up this big
My husband meal was a lamb steak which was raw and had a few sent back so be sure to ask for one well done even though you only normally have to ask for a steak to be well done, lager £3. 20 a pint but I suppose that the cost of living for you.
But we will definitely be back brilliant site with cycle and walking routes by the canal, 2 minutes walk from the site

Have just returned from a 3 night stay at Tudor. Had seen the site whilst cycling along the canal earlier in the year. Impressed by size of pitches, we had a hardstand (large chippings and not comfortable under foot). Close to the new shower block, but only 4 showers in the ladies! It was very busy this weekend and feared the queue would be lengthy but it wasn't. Showers were hot and generally clean. Water points were close as were the grey waste points. The noise from the tent field at times was a little loud and did go on later than was respectful to others. No play facilities for the kids and football, cricket etc was played within close proximity to the Caravans, cars and tents.
We would be happy to use Tudor again as it provides a central point for many places of interest, close to the National Cycle network and walks galore.

Just spent a wonderful weekend trying out our new folding camper at this site.
Everything about the site from the owners point of view was excellent. Communication in booking was quick, and a nice welcome on arrival.
Site is all level, so no problems with pitching. Facilities were well maintained, and even though it was very busy we didn't have to wait much at all. The middle of the field is kept clear for ball games and the kids loved it.
The park is well served by the pub next door (basket meals before 6:30 a good deal), and also there's a cafe by the bridge. Even a chip van on site on Saturdays.
Didn't go to the Wetlands centre which is just down the road, but saving that for another visit (as we are sure to return). Also planning to use the park and ride into Gloucester from near by Cam train station (about £4. 50 return).
Dog Friendly site.
Highly recommend.

Lovely campsite, next to the Gloucester to Sharpness Canal. We booked at the last minute and there were no electric pitches left, so we pitched on the field which was actually really nice.
The site ask that people pitch around the edge of the field leaving the centre for people to play on. This worked well for us as the kids could run around the field without having to cross any road, which is great as lets face it, some people, even on campsites, drive like idiots even when there are kids running around. No playpark for the kids, but we didn't mind that as the field was good.
The shower block was very modern and clean. They had a problem with the gas regulator on the first day resulting in no hot water, but it was fixed quickly.
There is a pub next to the site, but it gets very busy. We popped in for a drink, and overheard lots of people complaining about the food and the service. I spoke to the staff about booking a table for the next day and got a really rude and unhelpful response, and as a result left without booking. I'd avoid this pub if I were you. Very disappointing.
Plenty of places to cycle - along the canal towpath or to the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust centre about 1km away - well worth a visit.
We'd happily go back to this site, but would avoid the pub. No shop on site either, but they do sell gas.

A lovely campsite in a truly lovely part of Gloucestershire and an added bonus was that we never heard any road noise, just the canal boats going by behind us.
We had a very friendly welcome from the pleasant owner who gave us directions to our pitch. Our pitch was lovely, spacious and well kept, in fact probably one of the largest pitches we have ever had!
The campsite on the whole is very well kept and is in the most fantastic position right next to the canal, tow path, pub and cafe. We didn't use the pub, but every night we were there it was always busy, so perhaps that is testament to it being very good.
The toilets and showers were cleaned daily, although they did tend to get a lot of grass etc throughout the day - but having said that, the site was very busy due to some unexpected nice weekend weather, so perhaps they don't always get so messy. But generally they were clean.
We were very impressed with this site and can fully recommend it. We shall definitely return.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at Tudor Caravan park. This is a lovely, well set out site. Loads of room between pitches with hardstandings around the edge and grass pitches in the middle and a large camping field at the end
The new shower / toilet block was very nice - however the hot water system broke during our stay. There is another block on the part of the site that seems to be for residential vans, this block was clean but very dated and only had 2 showers
The Tudor pub is at the entrance of the site, we only used this once and the beer was good and the cream teas superb, although pricey at £5. 95 each
The site is situated along side the canal (great for kayakers) with some nice walks and is only a 10 min walk from the wildlife reserve, other than that there is not a lot in the immediate area
In summary a very quiet well kept site (quiet except for the local wood pigeons that is) recommended

As this was our first real camping experience it's hard for me to compare to others but this site had everything for our needs.
Whilst some of the facilities are being upgraded the ones finished ie The Toilet/shower block were spot on. Clean, tidy with hot water all the time.
We were situated in the top field which was mainly tents and caravan tents around the perimeter of the large field although busy we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. The centre of the field was a huge grass area with families and kids playing numerous ball games. Giving the site a real family feel.
The pub at the entrance to the site is a great place to go if you can't be bothered cooking. We have visited Slimbridge Wetlands before so didn’t bother this time although I will say it's worth a visit to anyone whether you are a bird fan or not.
We visited Bristol Zoo and have to say whilst smaller than others it is a really nice Zoo with plenty of animals and facilities including a tree top walk which my nine year old boy found irresistible.
I would recommend Tudor as a great family camping destination.

As 1st time campers my wife and I found Tudor campsite very welcoming with friendly staff.
Good open spaces for those tents with hook-up, there was good space between the pitches. Plenty space to BBQ and still feel private.
The new facility block seemed good, although the park was not over busy, they were never that overcrowded. Good washing up and laundry areas. At the time they were looking for cleaning staff but each facility area did seem to be cleaned daily. The general camp site area was well groomed and very pleasant.
The Tudor Arms (Pub) attached to the camp site was very welcoming and for those with children it was child friendly. Menu was large and catered throughout the day, we did eat there on several occasions and found the food well cooked along with good portions.Good selection of Beer and Cider.
The so called shop down the road next to the canal side cafe was poorly stocked selling only the very basics (Not even papers). We found the local petrol station better stocked and cheaper. In cam there is a good Tesco’s with all you need.
As for the camping experience we took too much, alarm clock was not required as the crows woke us up at the crack of dawn and the wind determined your night’s sleep. (Ear plugs advised) but am looking forward to our next outing.

We spent two weeks here over the Easter - May Day Holiday period. It is situated behind the Tudor Arms public house, being approached through its car park.
It has two distinct areas - a family touring field to the right which must take about 60 units on both hard stand and grass pitches, and a small Adults only section in the old orchard taking 17 units on hard stand. Each area has its own facilities block.
The facilities block never seemed over-whelmed, but at this busy time (and with a staff shortage) it was not visibly cleaned every day; the soap dispenser was not refilled for a week, and the showers had no means of being cleaned after use. The older block also got a little odorous over the weekend periods.
First site impression was that units were packed in, but closer inspection did suggest that a 6metre rule was just about being observed. At least two of the units in the Old Orchard appeared to be long term pitches.
The Tudor Arms pub got quite lively over the Bank Holiday weekend, but was quieter later in the week. The food proved to be very good - at a price! It also served quite a range of ciders - some definitely to be taken in moderation!
A fish and chip van visits on a Saturday evening and is very popular. Go early - he ran out of fish on the second weekend! Again very good - but not the cheapest.
The WWF Wildfowl Reserve is half a mile down the road. It's worth the day out, but take your own food and drink - their prices are astronomic and quality poor. It also attracts a lot of vehicle traffic along the site access road, which is quite narrow with limited passing places and some grossly inconsiderate parking! Be warned if you intend to arrive or depart at peak times.
The Gloucester to Sharpness canal runs along one side of the site. During the day it can be quite busy with leisure craft. In the evening it goes quiet as its bridges are locked in the road positions at 6pm. A stroll along the towpath at dusk may reveal a population of water voles. If you are unobtrusive they can be observed feeding on the bank. Some even pose for photographs if you don't get too close!
There is a Tesco supermarket at Cam - about three miles away, as well as a Lidl and Sainsburys at Dursley, just a little further on. Towards Gloucester there is an excellent garden centre with restaurant, and Attwools Camping Centre - in case you forget anything.
Gloucester city is rather a disappointment. The cathedral is magnificent and worth visiting. The Quays designer outlet is expensive and pathetic - and well out of the city centre. The rest of the town centre is just like any other - modern and nondescript. IF you are drawn to Gloucester suggest you take the train from Cam and Dursley station - near Tescos - hourly trains and £4.40 return - cheaper than parking in the city!
Other places to visit include the Cotswold Wildlife Park and Hailes Abbey near Winchcombe, as well as Bristol or Bath. Berkeley is interesting.
All in all this is a pleasant site but in a backwater location. Beware the traffic and parked cars along the access road at peak times. Would we go back? Yes - but only off-peak!

This site is lovely, very clean toilets and showers. We paid £63 for three nights over Easter including electric. Lots of space between caravans.
The site is next to the canal we hired a push bike for £5 for 2 hours.
There are plenty of boats going up and down the canal to sit and watch.
We went into the lovely city of Bath to see the sites.
All in all a lovely site, we would return to, and close enough to visit the many attractions in the area.
