Just returned from a wonderful 12 nights here. Ok. So the weather wasn't brilliant, but the camp site was everything I want in a site. Quiet, excellent shower/toilet block, helpful site manager, great walking around the area.
We spent most off the time alone in the corner of a vast field. It was a long trek to the loos, but worth it for the solitude. We watched the birds most days and for townies we learnt a lot about the behaviours of the different birds. The dawn chorus was LOUD, and I am deaf!
Overall I would recommend this site to adults mainly, not a lot for kids and could imagine that any ball games will be impossible in the school holidays when the field fills up. No play area at all for them either.

Good site, next to canal, nice flat pitch with access to modern shower block. Showers push button type which are a bit annoying but nevertheless clean and plenty of hot water.
If you want to warm up, then wash up the dishes - the room was always very warm and a welcome break from the windy conditions.
Great family park for a weekend getaway, easily accessible from the M5, Tesco nearby (3. 5 miles away), on site pub and others nearby, with nice walks along the canal and allows gazebos which was great as we were away with brother-in-law's family.
Negatives: no wash up drainer racks in the washing up area. Would recommend and will go again for another weekend away.

Quite a large site with nice green areas. When we arrived to check in we found they don't accept credit cards, but they do take bank cards, also no cash point near by. We were told our pitch wasn't ready as previous people were still there (we arrived at 3pm) We parked up on some land behind the reception area, which had overflowing wheelie bins, not very tidy and not the view we had hoped for.
Disappointed with the shower block and wash facilities. The wash basin had old toothpaste stuck to it and the shower was dirty, We decided to use our own van shower!
The local shop (shed) was overpriced asking £9. 00 for a bottle of wine, make sure you bring your own supplies.
Lovely walks by the canal, great for dog walking and 10 min walk to Slimbridge Wildfowl trust.
Wouldn't come back here

First trip in our motorhome. As it was Jubilee weekend vacant sites were hard to come by and we had no luck finding a site in our first choice location of the peak district. Really just came upon this site by chance never having been to this area before. We were lucky to get a cancellation - booked on the morning of our trip.
A really lovely site, we stayed for 3 nights in the adults only area, nice and quiet but close to all the amenities. Toilets and shower blocks very clean, only negative was the shower pressure was rather poor and was more of a dribble than a shower. Some of the toilet doors didn't lock - the locks not properly lined up with the doors! But these were minor niggles really.
Washing up facilities really good, plentiful hot water, never had to queue for a sink. Didn't use laundry facilities.
Walked to the Wetlands about 800 metres from the site a really good day out would recommend. And had a lovely 9 mile walk along the canal.
Would definitely recommend this site and location.

Stayed in the small orchard area, nice quiet spot, except for the birds getting up at daybreak! Slightly disappointed with this site. Reception not manned at all times and we watched several people arrive to no one being around.
New toilet block disappointing on entry on the first day it did smell. The showers we not very hot and only stayed on for a short while. There was an older toilet shower block with very dated showers. The water at the handbasins didn't last long so by the time you got the water on, soap on hands the water had gone off! Both toilet blocks were closed at the same time for cleaning
The dish washing facility - again the water wasn't very hot, there were 3 sinks and only one had a plug. The freezer - was very icy don't think many people used this it looked like it needed a good clean and had lots of old food etc in it. Recycling ok but there was no bin for paper or cardboard. The bins covered a large area and were over flowing.
The Tudor Arms Pub was excellent lovely meals.
Slimbridge Boat Station was the shop and was expensive and if they weren't busy they seemed to be close early. Nice area for watching the barges go by. We took our cycles and it was excellent for cycling along the towpath.
Some good cycle routes on country roads not too busy. Nearest supermarket Tesco at Cam. This was our second week of our hols having come from Devon from a far superior site so perhaps that's why this may seem a little negative.
I think with a little more effort and TLC this could be a much better site. There is room for improvement. Would be nice to see reception selling a few bare essentials. Don't think will be returning.

We booked this due to the description of the facilities, particularly the use of a disabled shower, and also having the Tudor Arms next to the site.
On arrival we booked in at reception, who were friendly and welcoming. They advised us that due to the time of year we could pitch anywhere, however they advised that they had experienced recent high volumes of rain and certain areas were flooded therefore recommended the best pitch for our needs. All pitches were in good proximity to the toilet/shower block
The toilets were immaculate and the disabled toilet was perfect for our needs. There were also facilities for cleaning the showers after you had used them, which was very useful as a trip to the showers usually involved full wet weather gear! There were also plug points in the toilet block for you to use.
The Tudor Arms was very welcoming, warm and dog friendly and served excellent local ales and food. We did not use the shop opposite however did use the cafe for the occasional breakfast and found it to be basic but friendly and served nice food.
It had a canal next to the site which was nice to walk the dogs along, and the site also had an extra tent field for busier times of year, which we were able to use as a dog walking field on days when the weather did not allow for longer walks in the countryside. The site was also on the same stretch of road as Slimbridge Wetlands Centre, which we planned to go to but unfortunately did not get around to.
Despite the absolute rotten weather, we enjoyed our holiday and having the pub on the site contributed to keeping us warm and dry. We would highly recommend this site and would consider returning if holidaying in this area again.

Visited the site over the Easter Holiday. Arrived to a warm welcome and polite staff at reception, booking in was made easy, we were able to choose our own pitch.
The field was very large with plenty of space for our 3 tents and gazeebo. The facilities were excellent as the new shower block was clean and plenty of hot water. The site itself was quiet and peaceful (except for the crows nests above !)
The cafe at the end of the road was very expensive but was in a lovely location on the Canal.
We didn't venture to the pub but it looked very nice and busy.
Would be more than happy to return to the site and would recommend to all.
There are plenty of attractions in the local area so never a dull moment.

Ideal base for visiting Peter Scott's Wildfowl and Wetland Trust just half a mile down the road. A convenient 5 mins from the M5 too. Friendly staff, £11:50 for the two of us and a tent, flat pitch with loads of space (free for all in the central field). There was loads of hot water in a very clean wash block. Don't look up whilst having a shower or you may get an eyeful reflected in the Velux windows above, or maybe someone's looking at you! The glass soon steams up though. Good pub at entrance offering excellent beer and the food looked good.
Couldn't really fault this site on anything but there just seemed to be something missing. We thought it just lacked some character and individuality.

What a lovely site this is!
The site is split up into two parts, one being Adults only section, which we used.
Great attractions around, a short walk to a cafe and pub, both nice, although a little expensive.
The shower block in the Adults part is very basic but take a walk to the other block and they are wonderful, nice and roomy.
When we stayed there was a couple of huge motor homes, I mean huge, sides coming out and everything, which somehow spoiled things. Made it look like a lorry park, lol.
All in all, a very good park!

Tudor caravan park is a very clean well looked after site, toilet block and shower block is fairly new with plenty of cubicles. Also the pitches were in very good condition due to some extremely good weather for this time of year. Wetland Centre within a mile, no town within 3 miles. Has a good cycle track running alongside the canal adjacent to the site, cafeteria, boat, cycle hire opposite site, pub on site. The site in my view is considered more for matured adults rather than a family orientated site, has no playground, pool, or any type of entertainment to keep the children happy. Based on a family I would not consider returning, based on adults only I would recommend
