 Excellent value for money site in lovely secluded area with river nearby, yet only short 10 min walk to town centre.
We didn't visit shops as arrived after 6pm but did enjoy a really good pizza takeaway from Highland Kebab House later in evening. Campsite facilities are first class, the best we have experienced.
Plenty showers and toilets, large new modern block, wood cladded, all spotless. Great dish washing up area too, plenty sinks available. Washing machines and dryers also available.
All the pitches were large and lots of space between.
Quiet at night and we slept soundly in our van.
Would definitely stay again and recommend as base for visiting many nearby attractions.
Short drive to John 0'Groats and Dunnet Head.

We arrived late, a friendly man pointed us to a box with late arrivals in. The information inside was easy to follow.
We pitched up and took a stroll along the river to find something to eat.
On the way there is a fun park for young children (which our older children couldn't resist!).
In the morning we used the facilities which were well kept and clean.
We enjoyed our stay

As someone who grew up in Wick (atlhough now living in England), everyone involved in the design, construction and maintenance of the new campsite layout and facilities should be congratulated.
The site location is also excellent - in a sheltered location along the riveride but within 10 minutes Walk of most of Wick.
I'd highly recommend staying a good few nights as there is so much to see and do locally - even if it is not all well publicised!
Thankfully the excellent free wifi helps to plan your itinerary

What a wonderful site. Well positioned next to the river and an easy flat walk into Wick via a footpath that takes you past a children’s park. The pitches were huge and flat.
We were travelling with my son and his family (2 children). He had his own pitch next to us in his VW Crafter motorhome and he could have easily been on our hardstanding pitch with plenty of room between us.
Amazing.
The toilets and showers were 1st class in a beautiful wood clad building and the washing up facilities(indoor) were 2nd to none.
They also had a separate laundry room with I think 4 washing machines and tumblers and a phone charging lock box for multiple phones.
There was also a family shower room which my son said was excellent.
Brilliant site.

Had a fantastic stopover here doing the nc500.
The guy even on his own was so helpful.
The facilities were the best on the route.
Highly recommend. Two well known supermarkets around the corner.
And little rabbits running freely in the wild.

A great place to stay. We stayed Tuesday to Saturday and could not fault anything on-site.
Clean toilets/showers, reliable power, friendly helpful staff, and beautiful grounds and surrounding areas for river walks or a stroll into the lovely little town.

Lovely clean campsite with amazing riverside views.
Facilities are top notch including a laundry room. Very clean.
Great pitch sizes.
Friendly staff very helpful.
A short walk to town and a lovely woodland walk for the dog.
The best campsite we stayed at on the NC500.

Excellent site.
The facilities block is new this year and is lovely.
The site is much more sheltered than many in Caithness and the staff are great.
