The site is nice. It is conveniently situated as it is near the town, just a short walk along the river.
Staff were friendly. It was a good place to go to. The price was reasonable.
The toilet block will be improved, it said. It functioned fine, but it could be better. Once that work is done it'll be brilliant.

A wonderfully warm welcome to a beautifully well kept and spotlessly clean campsite.
The photos don’t do it justice. It’s felt like a new site, with great sized pitches, decent facilities and a lovely feel to the place.
Whilst the toilet and shower block is obviously a little old, I understand that it’s shortly having some modernisation but it was still fully functioning and immaculately clean.
A wonderful little place tucked away on the edge of Wick.

Well set out campsite easy walk into Wick along the river bank.
Lovely watching the rabbits playing around the camp.
Friendly staff. Toilet block a bit dated.

Just stayed 1 night as doing the NC500 route, arrived about 2pm, didn't like our pitch no. 25 only for the simple reason our 25m EHU cable wouldn't reach the box, went to reception to see what we could do about it & if they possibly had some sort of extension, the young lad in reception said "oh we have problems with that pitch" he went off to seek advice only to return with another guy (probably in his 30's) who greeted me (rather abruptly I thought) with the words "what's the problem?" anyway upshot was to plug into no. 23's box, my sister was already plugged into no. 24, was a bit worried if someone was going to turn up later on 23 & unplug us.
Lots of rabbits running around on the site which was nice to see, don't know if that's why there were so many flies plaguing us at one point, seemed to settle down once I gave the motorhome outside & in a good spray with insect repellent!
Pitches are a good size,
Only a short walk into town along the riverbank, found the world's smallest street Ebenezer Place, Bank Row is interesting to walk down & see the engraved flagstones & read about the history, shame the town centre seemed to have quite a few empty units & was surprised how few boats were in the harbour.
Had dinner at The Norseman Hotel, lovely, friendly staff & great food. Next morning visited Sinclair castle just outside Wick, was well worth the visit, didn't see the Orcas, that someone told us had been spotted in that area earlier that morning though.

Gorgeous little campsite right on the river and only a very stroll from the centre of Wick.
I stayed here while walking the John O'Groats trail. And it was ideal, only a few hundred metres off trail and the hot showers were perfect!
Staff were really lovely and helpful.

Chilled, relaxed campsite, fitted our rather large unit in.
Clear that they are working hard to modernise the site and getting better by the day.
East walking distance to Wick.

Beautiful site overlooking the river with a nice Riverside walk, walking distance to town,
All the money we pay to camp is put back into improving the village and the site, a none profit organization, new BBQ and eating area, and kids park, there is also As a bigger park next to the site on one of the roads into the site next to the river,
Extremely well kept grounds,
We were greeted with a warm welcome with helpful staff thank you,
Perfect location.

Good location, shower block is being updated but still hot and clean facilities.
Walking distance to town where you can get a meal or have a drink.
Recommended a trip to The Old Pulteney Distillery.
