Just arrived home after 6 nights camping.
We had only booked for 3 nights but decided to stay another 3 nights extra.
The campsite is very clean and spacious. The reception staff are also very friendly and helpful.Lots of information given to us on our arrival with regards to the surrounding area.
The toilets are clean only down side was the showers were very temperamental. Hot then ran cold!
The campsite is within a short distance walk to a childs park, wick town and harbour.
Will be going back again soon.

What a wonderful site this is! We arrived in the middle of a very wet summer but that didn't spoil our stay at all.
The site is in a beautiful setting, right on the edge of the riverbank. Pitches are very large, we have a 26ft caravan and didn't feel like we were taking up too much space at all. Supermarket and town is a very short walk along the edge of the riverbank.
The site owners are a lovely couple, they couldn't do enough for us and always had time for a chat.
The only criticism I have of the whole site is the toilet block being a little dated and showers a bit cramped.
All in all, a great site, wonderful friendly people and a lovely area perfect for touring the far North of Scotland.

Stayed here in a tent for 1 night in mid June.
There weren't many others on site at this time, so the place was very roomy and quiet - that's how I like it.
Friendly reception. Noticed that they will recharge camera/phone batteries for a small fee.
Flat area for tents.
There's a railway line very near the campsite, but I only heard one train in the short time I was there (9pm to 7am).
Absolutely no road noise at all.
The toilet/shower block was clean, but a little cramped. No charge for showers.
There's a short river walk to Wick town centre.
Under the same conditions, I'd stay here again.

This was a site that we found after we had decided not to stay at John O Groats, because of the high winds, and what a delightful site it was. In a motorhome we where escorted along the river because of the low bridge,a bit hairy because the river was in flood and the road was underwater we drove through about 18 inches of water,on to the site. The next day the water had receded. The pitches where all a very good size and a lot where hardstanding, good electric hookups. Perfect grass, and all the park was spotlessly clean. The wardens where very friendly, and could not do enough for you.
Toilets where nice and clean, even though the cubicles where very small. There is a small shop on site, and plenty of shops within a very short walking distance from the town. Wick offers most things one would expect in any town, and is a very pleasant stroll out of the park and along the river to reach. In the town is a whiskey distillery well worth a visit. We stayed three nights and found plenty to do in Wick, and we where kindly allowed to extend our last day free of charge because we were waiting for a small job to be done on a van.
All in all a site well worth visiting,SPOT ON !

Very friendly and helpful owners. The site is in walking distance from the town centre which has plenty of facilities or even nearer to a local supermarket.
This is a good base for touring the north of Scotland.Wick itself is a pleasant town with everything you are likely to need
The site has plenty of dry level pitches . The toilet block is clean and well kept if a little cramped. Overall a quiet and friendly site

As has been previously mentioned on the many reviews, this site is fantastic. A well cared for place with great attention to detail from the very pleasant owners who would have done anything to assist if required. Not so impressed with Wick though but I will return to this site very soon.
Close to all Wick's local shopping facilities but just far enough away to leave the site peaceful and relaxing.
Thanks for a pleasant stay.

Having lived in Wick most of my life I had never been to this site. I decided to try the site out when we decided to try out our caravan before the season started.
The couple that run the site are very friendly and the site was immaculately kept and very quiet. The facilities are good although the toilet block was a bit dated but was kept very clean, but in April when the site was quiet they had no heating on in the toilets and it was freezing cold.
Wick is a lovely little town with loads of places of interest and lots of eating and drink establishments within it's town centre.
Plenty of supermarkets within the town and Tesco's on the outskirts is open to 12 o'clock in the evening.
Location of campsite is is very nice, with lovely walks along the river and a children's play park close to the site.
Highly recommended to anyone wishing to visit Caithness

Having spent four months on the site I feel fully qualified to give you an honest review of wick camping & caravanning site.
The couple who run the site are the most wonderful couple you would love to meet. Always there for all of your needs, no matter how big or how small.
The site itself is only a short walking distance along the river side to the town centre of Wick. The grass on the site is mown on a regular basis with the grass cuttings collected as cut so there is no grass cuttings to be found in the shower block or in the showers. The shower blocks are cleaned every day and are kept to a high standard of cleanliness. Washing facilities are also to a clean standard which are located just outside the Shower / toilet block.
There is a massive Tesco store on the edge of town which stocks anything you can think of. In the town centre you can also find the Weatherspoons pub which provides excellent food and beer at a price we all can afford.

Very quiet site in a lovely setting. Approach in motorhome needed the assistance of the warden because of a low bridge at the entrance. The alternative route given on the phone was unusual in that we seemed to come through a public park. The warden was very apologetic because their normal procedure of guiding motorhomes in by car could not be followed since her husband was at a funeral. That said she could not have been more helpful or more pleasant she even came to our pitch to ensure we had managed the hook-up. Wick itself appeared somewhat rundown but we were only stopping for the one night.

Lovely campsite, very pretty and peaceful. Although on the edge of a town this site feels secluded and rural whilst being a 5 minute walk from shops and restaurants. The owners were very friendly and helpful and informative about the area. They allowed us to stay on the pitch until late in the day at no extra charge as we were not ready to move on. We were able to choose our pitch and there were ample electric hook-ups available. The toilet block was spotless with plenty showers and hot water. No play park but there is a good one just along the riverside path.
I highly recommend this site and it is even worth a detour a bit further north than you might have planned on going.
