Was only going to stay 1 night but site was very good, and Wick was holding it's lifeboat open day we decided to add an extra day.
Site was fairly busy but the person in charge was very happy to see to our needs, very friendly and helpful.
The facilities were clean and good should be even better when new toilets are finished.
Will definitely come back.

Great location with easy walk into town along the river.
Friendly reception by warden.
New toilet block looks like it will be nice but not yet finished. Temporary facilities were perfectly acceptable.
Motorhome service point has the drain point in a strange location so we had to turn round to get the drain from the van located over it.
If you are a tall vehicle read the instructions about the low bridge and alternative entrance.

Stopped as part of nc500 trip, site was quiet and in a great location next to river and a 10 min walk into town, very scenic.
Currently, a new amenity block is nearing completion so temporary showers and toilet portable cabins are in use. Although not ideal, these are clean and serviceable and was not a problem for us at all.
The rest of the site facilities are all there, we found it a relaxing place to stay, albeit Wick town centre is rather run down and not very welcoming.

Great place to stay. Greeting at reception was lovely.
The site is very clean. Toilet block at present is a Portacabin, but facilities are spotless clean and showers are hot.
Lovely view of the river and 1/2 mile walk to the local town of Wick.
The Restaurant just across the bridge, bistro number 1 has excellent food, but book early.
Love our stay at Wick river campsite
Def will come again.

Nice location for site within easy walking distance of Wick. Temporary shower/toilet blocks in use while major upgrade to permanent block continuing, but facilities were adequate if a bit small. Site could do with more water points for ampersand in some parts of field.
HINT: If following Sat nav look out for sign on right 50m or so after mini roundabout signalling "alternative route to campsite" - it takes you along a pleasant Riverside path and avoids issue with v low bridge on normal approach.

Although this is a really nice site, and I understand that the building of their new facilities block had been delayed it was hugely disappointing to find that there is currently only one sink for doing your dishes which is not under any form of shelter and when we were there had no hot water.

Pleasant campsite right next to the river. We were travelling as a family of three adults and 2 dogs. The shower and toilet block is currently housed in porta cabins but still adequate. There is a new block in the making and what we saw they are going to be the much needed upgrade to bring the site upto date.
Lady on reception very helpful. Good communication.
There was a small park on site for younger families and it was a short walk to local shop. There is a bigger shopping complex a 5/10 min car journey where you’ll find Pets at Home, Farmfoods, and B and M ect.
Lovely little stop off on the way round the North Coast 500.
The cost I thought was very reasonable and as it is a community campsite they say all the money goes back into making the campsite a better place for its visitors which can be seen with the new toilet/shower block.

For Motorhomes over 3 metres high, access to this site is along a narrow single track road which is poorly signposted.
However, it is a lovely peaceful setting within easy walking distance of the town, harbour and distillery and there’s also a small Co-op a ten minute walk away for bread etc.
Shower block wasn’t completed but portacabin was clean. BBQ area with seating and sink which was nice.

This is a lovely campsite right beside the river with friendly staff.
The new facilities block wasn’t completed so we had to use facilities in a portacabin but they were adequate.
We stopped here for one night on our tour of the NC 500 and would stay again.

Good campsite, temporary facilities were good but limited in space.
However, the new shower block will be ready soon.
Close to town, with good dog walks.
