After arriving on the site and getting settled in, which the site is lovely along with the facilities.

The showers are a little narrow but they are easy to use.

The facilities are clean, which I would rather they be clean than dirty but with a wider shower!

There’s a trail that you can either walk or bike that takes you into town. It is a lovely scenic trail, I would recommend!

The staff are lovely, super friendly which is always a good thing as they are your first face of the site

Absolutely beautiful Campsite! Surrounded by mature trees and shrubs, it's well laid out one way system has all you need,

It's very clean facilities are usable and although dated at the moment, they're going to be getting a major upgrade.

Don't let this put you off using this site, as you would be missing out on a great stay!

There's a short river side walk/cycle ride which takes you into town for whatever you need.

There's delivery of hot food available from a couple of local fast food shops, we tried one of these out and it was good! A nice change from cooking for ourselves.

Dogs are welcome, like any site should be kept on a lead and under control.

The wardens are very friendly, kind folks.

Site very good, showers very good but very narrow, need update.

We are social campers and this site is definitely for touring, also we were on sloping pitch.

10min walk to wick, had lovley lunch at mackays Hotel and witherspoon was fab,

If you are touring this is the site you need,

All in all I give it an 8

 Fantastic!

After a long day on the road, 560 miles it was an absolute pleasure to be greeted by a very friendly and helpful couple who ran the site, the lady even boiled a kettle of water for my Pot Noodle whilst I pitched my tent.

The site was well kept and peaceful. Toilet and shower block though dated was also very clean.

Just a short 10 mins walk along the river takes you to Wick itself where there are plenty of places to eat and a co-op.

I was only there for the one night before leaving the next morning to travel the NC500 but I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again

Wick River Campsite is a beautiful, peaceful, quiet location. Well sheltered and a lovely suntrap.

The Wardens are very friendly, kind and welcoming. Cost of stay is dependent on your unit and needs, these are reasonable compared to other sites that we have stayed on.

There's a riverside walk, and in one direction it's only a ten minute walk into the town centre which offers plenty of choice for takeaway food (of which some offer delivery to the campsite).

The facilities on site are dated, however. There are plans for a major upgrade to these.

The site is surrounded by many mature trees and shrubs adding to the beauty of the site, you would never imagine being as close to the town yet enjoy such a peaceful stay!

For children, there's a big play area off site but very close by, along the riverside walk. There's also a few pieces of adult exercise equipment.

There are plenty of shops in and on the edge of town, Huge Tesco, Lidl, Co-op, B&M, Superdrug, Boots the chemist, jewellers, banks etc.

We'll definitely be back regularly even before the improvements as we just feel so relaxed and "at home" here!

What a lovely campsite. Its community owned so all profits go back into site and the community.

It's just been taking over by the community, and not fully up to speed, but showers and toilets are working.

When I emailed for a pitch with hook up, I got a reply saying I could stay free of change because there was no electricity, but showers etc was working.

I was doing nc500 and wanted to see wick and noss head, so I stayed, pleased I did, what a pleasant site, I left a voluntary contribution for my stay,

If ever back in area, I am going back to this site.

Very good campsite with beach close by and local town within walking distance.

Could do with additional Motorhome service points as there was a bit of queue in the morning for the facilities.

 This was a beautiful site.

Immaculately kept and the couple who ran the site were amazing.

They were on hand for every little detail.

Would recommend this site to all.

Perfect as a base or as a pleasant stop on the NC500.

Can't comment on facilities as closed due to covid
