First return visit to the site since the upgrades carried out recently.
The site is now very impressive, from the polite reception on arrival, to the overall site layout and the new facilities, the transformation amazing.
The site was busy with a mixture of tents, caravans, campervans and motorhomes. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and appreciating what the site has to offer.
We will certainly return.

We absolutely loved our stay here.
Friendly personal, brand new facilities, very clean, great wifi (important for our teenager kids), enough space, possibility for fishing.
Shopping possibility in walking distance.
We booked a night more than intended.

WOW, this site left us speechless. We planned to stay here for one night whilst doing the NC500 but it was so good we booked an extra night.
From the moment we arrived the service was second to none. The Warden was very friendly and so helpful, the site is very well laid out and kept immaculate. We were on a hard standing pitch which was large and well spaced from the pitches either side.
The site has a communal barbecue area which we thought was a lovely touch and has a small children’s play area, but there is also a larger play area just next to the campsite. If you like bunnies you will love this site as there are wild rabbits hopping about aplenty.
And then there is the facilities block which is like something you would find in a five star hotel. They are stunning to say the least, and kept spotlessly clean. There is also a family shower room, disabled facilities and an amazing laundry and washing up area, and to top it off we discovered this is a community run site. I think you will be able to tell we were impressed by this site and it was without a doubt the best site we stayed at on the NC500.
Wick is just a five minute walk along the riverside.

Given I signed up to review this campsite should show how delighted we were with this campsite!
My son and I were driving the NC500 and chose wick river campsite as our first overnight stop. From the welcoming friendly reception staff to the well laid out campsite we couldn’t have been happier.
However their crowning jewel are their facilities, toilets and showers that could compete with any up market hotel. Really makes the difference when you stay at a place that takes pride in their presentation and having spoken to several visitors during our stay everyone was very impressed with the site.
The owners/team should be very proud of what they offer and for anyone transitioning the NC500 it’s a fantastic start/end stay with beautiful beaches very close by.

Lovely site with outstanding, brand new facilities. Toilets, showers, hairdryers, dishwashing room and washer and dryer room. 5 mins walking distance from the town, local shops, pubs, hotels etc.
Campsite manager could not have been more helpful, and lots of rabbits running around the sight.
Really nice dog walk, and a children's play park behind the sight on the river front.
Had 2 fabulous nights there and will definitely return next year. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

What a lovely well maintained campsite.
The pitches are large and well spaced out.
There is a brand new toilet and shower block with spacious cubicles which were very clean.
The manager was friendly and helpful.
The site is located a few minutes walk from Wick with a lovely riverside walk. Perfect for walking the dog.
Lots of rabbits roaming the site.
Take midgie repellent!

Wick River is a lovely clean, open and well maintained site. We were welcomed by helpful and friendly staff.
Plenty of room to each pitch. The amenities are clean and fit beautifully to the site.
Its location is out of the way but so near to the town with a short walk along the river to shops and places to eat.
A good base for visiting the surrounding area.
Be a short overnight or a few days it is the place to stay for this area.
Thank you.
