Stayed here over the really hot weekend in June. As always the site was excellent, even though it was full all weekend. Plenty of space, units nicely spaced. Facilities cleaned regularly and very helpful staff.

Could do with another washing up room, the queues were very long at peak times. Perhaps move the Dog Wash outside and use that room.

Highly recommended

Wonderful feeling of space for all on this site maybe a little short of washing and showering facilities if the site were to be busier but it was ok.

You have to be careful not to leave food around otherwise the roaming ponies and donkeys will have it but it is nice to be amongst this kind of wildlife. Some great tracks for cycling and walking free from cars. Great also that cars are restricted to no more than 40 miles an hour on the roads here.

The local villages can be busy but eating out in the local hostelries can be great.

We have been down to this site three times now and we will be returning.

When arrived greeted by friendly staff and although it was bank holiday Monday there was no issue in finding a pitch of our choice.

We found this is a very scenic campsite which leads you directly into the heathland forest as the campsite is set within the Forest which does mean you have the Ponies and Cows roaming around the site. There is a Tesco express in Brockenhurst which is only 5 mins in the car after turning left out of the site entrance.

The Facilities on site I would describe as average in terms of hygiene(I do appreciate this is partly down to other campers who seem to have forgotten how to use the mop by the showers after they used a shower)

On the whole the site is well maintained and we all had a great time!

Have just had a 5 night stay here.

The location is good, although not easy to walk into Brockenhurst and back.

The site is lovely, but we were unfortunate to be there over a weekend. The campsite was full to bursting and completely over packed in our opinion. Our nice quiet pitch got completely surrounded by about 12 tents with no regard for the spacing rules. We couldn't even get our car near the tent. The 'neighbours from hell' couldn't give a monkeys and took over every inch of ground outside our tent. It was really the wardens fault for allowing too many in. They should have reduced the admittance by about 100 pitches. I noticed their own pitches were very very large and no-one was allowed anywhere hear them.Says it all!

Toilets and showers fine again until the weekend. When it seems many of the people that came must like to live in muck and splattered faeces, and no regard for cleaning up after themselves.

It's nice with the ponies, cows and donkeys walking among the tents. But watch your food, they'll sniff it out.

We visited on a hot weekend, paying the extra £3 to get on site before 12 am. The wardens / office staff were very friendly, although the cost adds up (£24 for one night including 2 children and dog).

The campsite was spacious, although the ground undulates a lot, and in the woods you need to clear the pine cones away! Toilet facilities very good, (didn't check the showers but sure they would be too) with a thorough clean around 12 noon. Good number of bins and water. Take bricks or a stand if using coal bbq

Wonderful walks straight from the site but not onto heathland as on edge of New Forest proper. However, the country side was beautiful and varied.

Plenty of pitches - shady, open, near or away from others - the site was quite full but didn't feel it especially around the edges.

The small pond did not allow fishing in the summer months but it was lovely to see the wild ponies cooling off in it. The horses were not a nuisance at all - just trotting or grazing around the site.

Would definitely visit again.

Arrived Friday about 2pm and found a good spot tucked away under some trees. This was important as this weekend was HOT.

Fairly busy but no problems.

Saturday saw more campers turn up but still room for everyone. Some kind of disturbance Saturday night about 11 pm not sure why, somebody had upset someone but it was all quiet after 10 mins.

Sunday, lots of people left so very quiet on the site with loads of space.

Lots of wildlife. The dawn chorus was incredible, like someone turning on a switch at about 5 am, from silence to everything singing flat out in a second or two.

Good new facilities (last time here there were no showers)

Helpful staff.

Whitsun Bank Holiday- My wife, daughter (2yrs) and I stayed for two nights.

The Site - After the organised rigmarole of checking in, we finally managed to pitch our tent. The wash room cabins were starting to look rather tired and waterlogged, despite having according to the website, been recently refurbed. But they were still clean.

The bins in all areas seemed to be full and not emptied during our stay. We were also told to remove our windbreaks because we had over the regulated amount of poles!. Overall we had an enjoyable stay. This campsite has many areas to pitch, near trees or out in the open, very peaceful and with no road noise. The location is rather more than walking distance to the village shops and pubs.

The Area - We have visited Brokenhurst many times as it is a lovely place, and would recommend it. Stay away from the Rose & Crown Pub, food and service much better down the road at The Snakecatcher.

Stayed at Roundhill for 3 nights and had a fab time!

The site is huge! So much space it was difficult to decide where to pitch! Chose a space next to one of the many gorse outcrops to protect from the wind and the night rain. Puddles appeared in extreme downpour but soon soaked in when rain stopped. Lots of space for kids to play, was quite envious! Staff were so friendly and the information marquee was excellent!
Toilet and shower blocks were good, nice showers and loos with mops and cloths available! Bit pricey compared to other sites I've stayed at but then I haven't camped in the New Forest before! Lots of country pubs around serving good food. Nearest town Brockenhurst just a few minutes drive. Wild ponies were a lovely bonus just wandering around your tent, also the little birds that hopped in and out looking for crumbs!

Loved it and would certainly drag myself up from Cornwall again to stay here. Excellent for biking as new forest is quite flat, not too many hills at all!

This was our first family camping trip and what a trip it was, in total we camped for 2 weeks staying at 4 sites, this site was our second site, but must say came first out of them all.

The location is perfect.

The Showers & Toilets were always clean but did get really busy in the morning and some inpatient campers would start banging ion the door and shouting to hurry you up, best to get up early around 7am.

The site is big and at Bank Holiday is very busy.

If you have small children watch out for the drivers who don't abide to the speed limit, some drive far too fast.

The Ponies we knew there were Ponies but they didn't bother at all they would come right up to the windshield munching away on the grass, certainly an experience not to be missed, even for my other half who has a fear of horses.

We were in the New Forest for the 50 mile cycle challenge. Roundhill is just up the hill from Brokenhurst (although a bit of a trek on foot).

The site is a large open piece of land surrounded by wood, with patches of trees scattered around with a large lake.

We were woken up on the second morning by a large cow eating outside our tent, and was also visited by a deer in the evening over our campfire.

Great location, great for bikes! Nice shower and toilet cubicles. Not much in the area so take supplies with you but this adds to the magic of the place.
