We stayed here for jubilee week. The site is beautifully located right next to the beach with access via a coded-gate.
Our two families and dogs had a great time. The weather was incredibly mixed from torrential rain and wind to glorious sunshine which allowed us to swim in the sea (honestly).
The wardens were always helpful and friendly with none of the pettiness others have experienced.
The showers were always hot and the toilets clean.
The kids did not worry about not having a play area as the huge open space in the middle of each field acted as a shared play area.
All in all a lovely week.

A lovely site which is well maintained.
There is a 2 minute walk through the pedestrian gate onto the beach - also a small cafe on the beach car park which was open at weekends while we were there although I assume in busy periods its open all week.
Toilets / showers on site extremely clean whenever we used them.
There are many hours of walking in all directions - we now have two tired dogs. The site dog shower came in especially useful.
Tried a few hours fishing from the next bay north along the coast - was unlucky.
Wardens very friendly, helpful and obviously care about maintaining the peace and quality of this site. We shall return.

Just returned home from a lovely weekend at dafarn rhos campsite. It is a lovely well kept site, The views are spectacular. The toilets are very clean although the showers are a little small. Only one gripe for me is the many rules and regulations. They want extra cash off you for bringing visitors onto the site. The visitors we had just wanted to see what the site was like for a visit themselves. They were immediatly put off by the warden charging them £5 each for a few hours visit. However the lady in reception is a gem. She is an asset to the site.

If you are noisy, have no respect for others and can't control your pets and your kids this is not the site for you.
On the other hand if you want a well run site with helpful staff, good facilities, close to the beach with great views, this is the site for you.
I have read some reviews moaning about too many rules that are enforced, that is what attracted me, the knowledge that I would not be disturbed by late night noise and rowdy behaviour.
The site is in a beautiful setting, the facilities are good, although some are portable cabins and don't look too stylish from the outside, inside they are really good.
The site is also very secure with security gates and cameras and the site wardens are really helpful.
Take note of the directions you are given when you book and take £20 in cash for the deposit for the electronic key fob you will be given.
Overall a really great site.

We have just returned from a long weekend at this site with our touring caravan. The site is absolutely stunning with beautiful views across the coast and beach.
It has everything for a proper camping holiday and we really felt as though we were away from the rat race. Our children really enjoyed the site as whilst there was no play area with swings etc.
The space and fields were the best play area they could have had. They spent all day running around enjoying the space and slopes of the field.
At night my husband and I just enjoyed a glass of wine looking at the view which I would never get tired of looking at.
The beach is very close and again offers everything a beach should i. E sand, rock pools and safe water.
I read the other reviews about this site but any negatives (we didn't have any) are irrelevant because of the setting and the beach.
Granted we didn't use the facilities, which are basic compared to other sites but the toilets were very clean.
To sum up we will be returning again and think this may become a firm favourite with us because of what it offers.

This was our 3rd visit and always expect to fall foul of the rules and fall out of love with the place. However, it hasn't happened so far, fingers crossed. Yes, there are lots of rules and lots of mostly needless signs around the campsite with warnings and reminders. Only niggles so far have been precision about where the caravan should be pitched (on 2nd visit) and not being allowed to walk dog to information hut with me (on 3rd visit). At the same time, the rules do mean any dodgy folk are put off. Personally, if I owned a campsite, I wouldn't have as many rules, although on the other side, I some times appreciate the benefits of them. Also, to be honest, you don't usually hear much about them after the induction.
Facilities on site are very, very clean, though basic. Always think more money should be invested on these.
Anyway, after all that, why would anyone come back? It's simple really. The wonderful beach (dogs all year) that borders the site. Absolutely stunning! There is also access to the coastal path - 45 minute walk along the path to Moelfre (it's far less by walking along road) is stunning and rewarded by decent pub serving food or small restaurant (Ann's Pantry). Moelfre also has cafe/shop/newsagents. Also from site, walk to ancient village of Din Lligwy.
So, to summarise, lots of rules but lots of great views too. You pay your money, you take your choice!

Just come back from our 1st trip this year staying for a long weekend and have nothing but praise for this site.
Other reviews state about there being too many rules, it has no more rules than any other site, only here the rules are enforced (when needed) which is a good thing in my opinion.
How many sites state no noise after 10:30 only to find your awake till 3am by other campers with no respect for the rest of the site.
Each pitch is allocated with a 6m fire break so the site doesn't pack you in.
There's no car movement after 8pm on the site (another good thing), but if you wish to come back to the site later than 8pm there's allocated parking just outside the main gate.
The site itself is right on the beach with it's own access via a key fob with great views out to sea and the staff are really easy going and helpful.

A great site with a great location, unless you want to camp with a big group or have lots of local facilities. We've visited every year for the last 6 years at least and enjoyed every stay.
The staff are friendly and helpful, the site is very clean and gently sloping. Toilets, washing and laundry facilities are great and always clean.
The beach which is a gem (which is just over the hedge) is perfect for young children with a gentle slope which even when far out your never deeper than waist height.
Basically if you have pre-teenage children who require no more than a football and a beach to keep them entertained and don't want to be up till late drinking with a large group, this is a perfect relaxing site.

This site is great if you want a quiet holiday in beautiful surroundings.
Open the gate on the beach field & you have access to a wonderful beach, & some great walks.
The site is well maintained & is very secure.
The only downside is that the toilets in the beach field consist of two portaloos, which I must say are kept very clean, & some of the pitches are on a bit of a slope.
The showers by reception are free & have adjustable water temperature but the cubicles are quite tight compared to other sites that we have visited, Again they were always very clean.
The showers on the top field 3 off were in portaloo pods, which were OK but you had nowhere to put your dry clothes in there, only a hook on the back of the door.
We found the people running the site very friendly & helpful.
We would definitely return to this site,

Choose this site because of its beautiful location right next to LLigwy beach.
Pro's - Beautiful location the beach views and amazing. The costal walks are pretty and there are places to drive to like Benllech, Almwch and Beaumaris all worth a visit. The side gate from the site onto the beach is fabulous only a 1 minute walk. Co-op and Spa in Benllech stock all your essentials whilst there is an Asda in Llangefri
Con's- When I arrived I was given instructions through the intercom and guided to where I should park etc. I went into reception and was told deposit for the key fobs had gone up from £10 to £20 without notice after booking.
The owner then gave the rules and asked me sign to say I'd read them. She then made sure I said I wasn’t having any visitors and told me where to pitch
We were shown where the boundaries of our pitch were and then left to set up. We were staying with family in the next caravan and we had a family emergency crop up so my brother came to the site to be with his family and was told he could not come in and see us and was not allowed to stay on the site. We had to meet him at the beach and go to the pub for tea!
There are 2 toilet blocks, there is 1 with 6 toilets and 7 showers and another portacabin with 5 toilets in and then 3 free standing portaloo style showers and 2 other toilets. There was often a queue for the showers. I once queued for 40 minutes.
It was also very frustrating that if you arrived back at the campsite after sunset you had to park in the late arrival car park and you were told on check in your car must be retrieved by 10am the following morning. We stayed out later than planned one night and come back to park in this car park.
The location is amazing.
