We had never visited Anglesey so after doing a bit of review checking we decided upon this particular site.
WOW what a find. The views of the sea, the coast, the beach (literally 2mins walk from secure site gate), and the lovely countryside, are all just stunning.
The site was quiet as second week in Sept. They have strict rules regarding noise after 10. 30pm, dogs to be kept on leads and not exercised on site, no entry by car after sundown etc. Some reviewers have complained and written negatively about this. Well it suited us down to the ground. If you are looking to stay up late and have loud noisy parties, or have your dog run free on site then this is not the site for you. On the other hand if you want peace and quiet and a well managed site (the staff are very friendly and helpful) then give this site a visit, you will not be disappointed.
The loos and shower block were absolutely immaculate plenty of hot water and no push buttons. There are porter loo type units in the lower fields which would be useful if you didn't want to walk up to the main facilities in the night.
The fields are slightly sloping as they are heading down to the beach, so take your blocks with you to level your unit, but we did see campers (tents) on some level pitches, the staff are happy to help you manoeuvre onto your pitch. Also do not try to gain access before 2pm on day of arrival as you will not be able to get on site and parking is very limited. If you do happen to arrive early you are advised to wait further down the road at Lligwy beach car park, but we feel that could be a problem when busy.
We have been looking at going back early next season as this has got to be one of our favourite sites.

This site has some hard standing pitches but mainly grass but don't let that phase you they are all reasonable. It has an adults only field which the one closest to facilities. Showers and toilets are good and clean. No coins required only for hair-dryer and shaver sockets. Wash up and laundry very good. We stayed on middle field which left us short walk to facilities, however each field does have WC's plus in summer showers as well. Also dog wash at beach entrance this was very useful. A fob is provided to give exit from site to beach. You are very close to beach which has cafe at weekends. The views are very good as you are in lligwy bay. 10 amp electric provided and water at pitch. Reception provides some essentials but need to shop elsewhere. Moelfre is nearest has ATM in shop and very pub and cafe in harbour.

This site is spotlessly clean and the location is superb if you enjoy beautiful coastal walks. The beach is on the doorstep. The friendly wardens are wonderful, offering advice on everything from information on local amenities to helping us plan our sight seeing trips. The local village is approximately half an hour walk, with a great pub, chip shop and basic grocery store. I would not hesitate to recommend this site.

Just got back from a 6night stay. Wow what a fantastic Site the views were amazing. The staff even showed us to the pitch which I thought was nice.
we were on the main field number 8 this was not a bad pitch and a tap right next to us.
When we go back again I would like to be on the left hand side going down
Facing the sea they had a fantastic sea view and was a bit more sheltered from the wind
When they said near the beach they wasn't kidding just around the corner and you are on the beach, even a cafe on the beach you couldn't ask for anything more.
The site is very clean and the pitches are all around the outsides you didn't feel on top of each
Other and nobody facing you, plenty of room.
We have never been to Anglesey before what a beautiful island
Easy to get around and so much to do we will go back to this site
Well positioned near moelfre and other neighbouring little towns.
We didn't want to leave asked to stay another night but was fully booked.
If you want a peaceful locacation next to the beach and have a dog
This is the site our black Labrador loved it on the beach.
We will be back.

Just back after 5 nights at Dafarn Rhos, what a great site!
The location is fantastic - the beautiful Lligwy Beach is a stones throw away (our pitch was one away from the Beach Gate) and the coastal path runs right past the site, so easy access to Moelfre & the amazing smaller beaches towards Dulas Bay.
The site facilities are excellent, with a clean toilet/shower block and laundry - there are also toilets, showers and pot washes dotted around the site's four fields.
Our fully serviced pitch was very spacious and there was a huge area in the centre of each field which gave the feeling of not being over crowded, and plenty of room for games etc.
The only improvement which could be made would be a better stocked site shop.
All in all Dafarn Rhos is an excellent site and we are sure to return some day.

Good points about this site as follows:- wonderful situation right on the beach (which has a cafe selling drinks lunch and ice cream). It's a lovely clean beach and quite big so was not too packed when we were there even though the weather was good. You can take your dogs on the beach too. Lovely coastal path walks in either direction. Nice spacious site - big pitches and not packing 'em in. Very clean and well kept site - you would be very happy letting your children play. Large green spaces. Amazing views.
Bad points. At £30 a night and not being able to get on till 2pm and having to leave at 11am we found it poor value for money - particularly as the showers serving some of the fields are portaloos (although the main block isn't). It's quite an exposed spot so windy. Also the leaflet days you can ask for a late check out which we did but were then told this doesn't apply in high season.

Brilliant site, friendly and helpful staff. An absolute gem of a site. Would recommend for couples looking for a nice relaxed trip and also for sea fishing. My little Jack russell loved it and dogs are extremely welcome and must be kept on a lead at all times outside of the tent/caravan. If you can't respect rules or like to be loud and anti-social. Then don't come here. You can have a great holiday here, which we certainly did. Thank you for having us Dafarn Rhos!

Just back from another fabulous stay at this site. Staff always friendly and helpful, facilities are well placed across the site with toilets and showers at various points. All very clean. Access straight down to beautiful Lligwy beach from the site. Very well run and cared for site, lots of rules to abide by but nothing that will upset decent campers, and are all in place for everyone's benefit ie no noise after 10. 30pm so a good nights sleep is always available. This is our fourth visit to this site and we hope to return again soon. Thanks for a great holiday.

Enjoyed our Bank holiday 3 night stay in our T2 Campervan, was our first experience in the van, and must say staff were excellent and well organised from reception to assistance in showing us our allocated pitch area (especially Neil who levelled our van and was always on hand) very clean & maintained site, beach location speaks for itself, if you want to relax, this is the camp site for you!
Site has set procedures which make the site secure.
We shall definitely return.
