This site came highly recommended to us by friends. As 'virgin' campers we were quite apprehensive about the camping experience with 3 young children.

On arrival we were warmly welcomed by the site staff who clearly outlined their expectations. Our pitch was freshly mown and clean. However after 30 mins of fighting with our poles and lots of laughter the staff arrived to help us out who in 5 mins had our tent up! (They were brilliant)

The site and facilities were clean and it is obvious that the expectations are followed by fellow campers - so it works!

The site was silent after 10.30pm, even though it was almost full. Staff patrol the site so it also felt very safe.

We have booked a return visit and are looking forward to hopefully putting our tent up without assistance!

PS - The hot water shower by the beach entrance was a great bonus for washing the sand off your feet - nice touch!

Just got back from 5 night stay, we where a bit worried about the rules on the site but all I can say its common sense, and the good thing is no noise at night so very helpful when getting the kids to sleep. And its great that your dogs are very welcome,

Great for the beach its only 1 minutes walk and lovley and sandy, the kids built sand castles all afternoon, just wish we would have had the weather

Lovely walks either way on the coast path,

The showers and toilets on site where great,

You do need a car to get about,

The staff very nice

Just be aware that Anglesey is full of ragwart and its very toxic to all animals, so be careful when out with your dogs I have never seen so much,

We will be visiting again

Great site, arrived to wind but clear skies, location excellent as almost on the beach, a 45 min walk takes you along the beautiful coast to the cute village of Molefre. I noticed some comments about too many rules but no more than usual and all fair.

Owners very welcoming. Great views of the ocean perhaps some more toilets would be an advantage as in our field there was only one portaloo, ok if its quiet but in mid August with lots of people??. Main facilities and showers fine.

The ground was flat and good space between each tent. The owners were very conscientious and patrolled via torchlight at night which left us feeling safe and sure no-one was breaking the curfew rules!

Very sophisticated swipe card entry/exit meant only us on site and again added security, great dog walk close by along the coast only a minuite away. We will certainaly visit again.

We have just had a lovely weekend on this site. Spacious and plenty of room. Terrific view of the coast & beautiful beach only a short walk. The site Is very clean and tidy. Very keen on recycling. Adequate toilet facilities, kept sparkling clean. Lots of taps around the site. The staff and wardens are very friendly and attentive. ' A lot of people commented on the rules '.

But In defence, they are good common sense rules. They are there to help not hinder.

This campsite is a secure site.Which has electronic barrier gates. For entrance & exit.A

Key fob Is acquired £10 deposit on return. The site,s upkeep Is a credit to the owner and staff.

It Is very family orientated. And I would highly recommend.

Went for a short stay. Pitch was very sloping. Amazing view of beach and beach was literally 5 mins walk. Park was pretty empty when we arrived and we would have liked a different pitch in a different field as they were so empty and we had booked more than 6 mths in advance.

Went with in-laws so we were able to spend nights in caravan drinking and eating. The park has a strict no noise policy and this was always adhered to. One night I could actually hear the sea and tide come in while lying in bed.

One set of shower blocks was generally 4* type. Didn't like the fact there were not separate cubicles for sinks etc as I don't like to see others brush their teeth and general ablutions. Other showers were quite sweet in their individual trailer way.

Only problem if you can call it that is that we were almost ready to pack away, we were waiting for the tent to flatten a little and only had 15 mins before check out time. I asked if we could have 15 mins extra and although we were allowed this I felt they were a little harsh with their response. Gorgeous site though with basic facilities. Would recommend

We arrived on the Friday, for an extended Bank Holiday weekend. Although we arrived a little earlier than the set time for check in, and despite the additional £2 for early admission it was well worth it.

We found the site very pleasant and catered for families well. Lots of water taps and hook-ups should you require. The pitches are set around the perimeter of the fields and you have beautiful hedgerows full of wildlife which provide a good shelter.

The showers were regularly cleaned and we thought it was a well run site. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. Personally we thought they needed a few more showers. HOwveer we found we didn't have to queue. Overall a fantastic site and we weren't disappointed at all.

Would we return to the site? Yes most definitely.

Stayed on this site because we love Lligwy Beach so much and have to say we were very pleased with the site and location. We were blessed with the May Day Bank Holiday sun so really enjoyed ourselves ( Mum / Dad / Twins age 5 / Harry the dog! )

Our Pitch was spacious and although fairly basic the facilities are more than adequate. It is camping after all! Good strict rules re no noise after 10.30pm, which we were grateful for, to let our twins get some much needed sleep. Will be going again.

Just been to Dafarn Rhos for the fourth time this year its been frosty, windy, wet and warm sunshine. Excellent facilities and the owners are adding more ie washing up area & shower block

Toilets cleaned at least four times a day. Wardens very helpful, fantastic location right on a brilliant beach, our dog loves it.

Arrived for a 3 night stay on the opening day of the season and received a warm welcome from the wardens/owners. We were shown the facilities and handed the set of rules as mentioned in previous reviews before being shown to our pitch. Must say we didn't have a problem with any of the rules and we did have our dog with us. Keeping our dog on the lead and exercising off site is never an issue.

We had arrived after a prolonged period of heavy rain and the fields were very wet. Whilst being directed to the pitch our motorhome became bogged down and despite all our efforts became well and truly stuck in the mud. The owners came along with the tractor and towed us onto a different pitch than the original one we were allocated - pitch 11 at the bottom of the field. We had hook-up as well as a water tap, the pitch was also very flat and level. Our lounge area looked out over the beach and had wonderful views. We should have been on pitch 9 and this is alongside the lane that runs down to the car park. We were glad not to have been on this pitch as many cars were parked on the lane and our window would have been only a couple of yards from the lane with a very small hedge between us and the cars.

As mentioned in other reviews the beach is fantastic and only a minutes walk through the security gate at the bottom of the site. We spent most of the 3 days on the beach - the dog had a wonderful time.

Having a motorhome we always come supplied with everything we need for our stay so not having shopping facilities on site was not a problem for us.

The shower block at the entrance to the site was clean but cold so only used the showers the first day - used our own facilities in the van for the rest of our stay. It was very quiet (only about 6 caravans on site)

Walked up the lane to the Megalithic Burial Chamber and the remains of a mediaeval village (about 10 minutes walk) and it definitely is worth a visit.

Our last day, it rained continuously for about 24 hours so when we left the field which had begun to dry out was now extremely waterlogged. The owner came again to tow us off the field for which we were very grateful - even the tractor wheels were spinning on the wet ground!

Would definitely stay again despite the high charges - we paid £24 per night for 2 adults and the dog which for the facilities offered is probably on the high side but perhaps is justified for the location of the site. Owner's comment: This was the high season rate at Easter.

With hindsight we should have telephoned ahead to our next site as when we arrived it was flooded and we were unable to stay - we would have been happy to stay another few nights at Dafarn Rhos.

Would like to thank the owners for all the help we received towing us on and off the site.

The site's situation is great, separated from the marvellous beach at Lligwy by a car park

There are four sloping fields which were muddy when we went. The main facilities (showers, washer/dryer etc) are in a selection of wooden and portable buildings.

We paid nigh-on £30 for one night, which we felt was way out of line with the quality and standard of facilities provided. Owner's comment: High season rate at Easter for this party of a motor home, 4 adults and a dog was £29.
