This is a lovely site with lovely views, right next to Lligwy Beach with the town of Moelfre a 30 minute walk down the coastal path. Showers have just been updated and were spotless and red hot. There was a problem with the electric on the site while we were there as the generator kept breaking down but it was sorted in the end and nobody had any problems. They should hopefully be properly hooked up next time we go.
Not much in Moelfre itself but a couple of pubs and a shop which was quite basic but very pretty. There's a nice butchers in Benllech which is about a 5 minute drive away for lovely meat for your barbie!
The wardens and owner are really nice and friendly and aim to help as much as possible. Made the mistake of going to Holyhead for the day on one of our days, what a mistake it's nasty! Thought it would be nice with it being the gateway from Ireland to Wales but it's horrible so don't go, it doesn't do beautiful Wales any justice!Beaumaris is really nice for a day out and only a 20-30 min drive with restaurants and a few pubs.
Will definitely go back this year.

We visited this site for the weekend and had a good time as it is right next to a lovely bay. Our pitch was sloping but not too bad and there was plenty of space for the children to play and go bug hunting in the bushes. As other people have said the only downside were the toilet and shower block, it was quite difficult to shower our little ones and the cubicles were very small and water a bit hit and miss regarding temperature. This was OK however for a weekend but I wouldn't want to stay here longer with children unless these facilities were changed. Owners Note: May 2007 New shower and toilet block units and a disabled/shower room added

Spent the weekend at this site. The location and views are stunning, the beach is literally just over the hedge. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Motorbikes are allowed. If you stay here make sure you visit the ruined chapel and prehistoric village, about 15 minutes walk away. We spent a good couple of hours wandering around them.
But... The facilities at this campsite (toilets, showers and washing sinks) are very basic. I assume this site is still in the process of being built, the facilities have a "temporary" feel about them and there is digging work in evidence and hastily erected fences here and there. Owners Note: May 2007 New shower and toilet block units and a disabled/shower room added
We may return in a couple of years to see how the site has come along.

Lovely views, friendly people, well spaced out pitches. However, toilets and showers pretty grim in what appears to be metal shipping containers, water warm / cold. I found it really difficult to shower my children as no thermostat on shower, just outdoor style tap! Owners Note: May 2007 New shower and toilet block units and a disabled/shower room added
There didn't seem to be many caravanners on this site mainly tents. Most pitches on a fair slope and quite exposed and windy, All on grass.
Ligwy beach lovely and sandy and just 2min walk, but always was very windy when we were there, good for windsurfing, surfing etc just watch out for the massive crabs!
Nearest decent shop about fifteen mins drive away in Benllech.

My husband & I really enjoyed our long weekend stay at this campsite. We arrived on the Friday & hadn't booked! Make sure you do as the site did fill up.
Our hosts were very friendly & gave us a list of available pitches that were not the best according to them, because we hadn't booked. Richard took us to look at the available pitches & explained about the facilities & then left us to decide, not putting us under any pressure what so ever. It didn't take us long to decide that the first pitch we were shown, No 36 even though on a slope due to the location was good enough. The pitches are all well set out around the perimeters of the fields leaving the middle for children to play The field we were in had the exit on to the country lane which was only 100yds to the sandy beach car park.
The site would appear to be new as the toilet & shower facilities were not up to the standard of more established sites but this situation was clearly explained before we handed over any money. Owners Note: May 2007 New shower and toilet block units and a disabled/shower room added
We will be going back to this site as the views, sandy beach, walks & tranquillity of site make the toilet & shower facilities acceptable.

Just returned from a lovely break here, the site was spotless and the owners where nice also, great distance from a beautiful beach only a minutes walk away. But this came at price I thought the amount we paid was a little steep as the shower/ toilets where not very nice and could do with being updated and more installed as they was always a queue. Also if you are nearer to the beach you are further away from the toilet block, which if you have children with you can be difficult. Owners Note: May 2007 New shower and toilet block units and a disabled/shower room added
