Lovely location. Sadly poor facilities and very poor value for money.
No hot water for washing up. Expensive showers ( only 2 for a large camp-site) and poor toilet facilities ( only 1 open at night).
Generally felt miserly.
Wont be visiting again.

The perfect campsite.
Clean facilities, great hosts, and a lovely area to stay in.
Really great walking spots, with bakewell and Buxton near by too.
Had everything we needed.

Nice little site, with simple but clean facilities.
Hosts were very friendly. 5 mins walk to valley views and decent pub.
Cows got a bit rowdy at night though! :)

Communication with Peter was really quick and very helpful. We found the campsite easily and didn’t have to wait before being shown where to pitch.
The pitch was flat with a great view to wake up to and the choice of shade.
Toilet and showers were kept very clean, you need £1 to have a 7min shower, which has decent pressure and heat!
They charge £10 per person and didn’t seem bothered to know what size of tent we had, we were £1 per night for our dog.
We had previously come from a campsite with lots of children so appreciated the peace of this being an adults only campsite, very refreshing!
Expect to be woken by cows mooing and a variety of bird noises!
The only negatives I spotted was that they could invest in some additional toilets and showers and that if our pitch had been at the bottom of the main field we could have been right next to the road!

One of the best sites we’ve stayed at. Friendly welcome, choose your own pitch.
The view we had was stunning. Sun rise, then a barn owl in the evening.
The facilities are second to none. Clean well kept.
There’s hook up if required, but you won’t have amazing view.
We are going to go back soon.
Plenty of walking & some ok pubs.

A realy nice location, quite place. You almost don't notice other people.
No site facilities. No wifi. Sanitaire facilaties are clean, but to minimal. No decent facility to wash your dishes, no hot water.
In comparison to other campings, with the facilities present, price is high, when you are with older kids. Because full price is per person and not by means of camping (tent, camper, . )

We booked our stay here last minute, travelling over on a motorbike. The site is in a gorgeous location and the owners are lovely.
Toilet was spotless and there was soap unlike some other reviews state. The tap for water was very welcome with travelling with limited stuff.
Would definitely stay here again.
There was a group of young people staying doing the Duke of Edinburgh, we honestly didn't hear a thing from them through the night, didn't even hear them set off in the morning.
The reviews regarding the noisy birds - I'd say camping isn't for them!
Can't remember the names of the pubs, wasn't impressed with the first one which is a shame as it could be brilliant, from that first pub up the lane on the left, as you get to it turn right, lovely little pub further down with a gorgeous garden out the back, carry on down the lane about 20 minutes and there's 2 more well worth a visit.
All in all we had a lovely weekend and will definitely be back.

This was not my first visit to this Campsite. It's definitely not going to be my last. It is one of the nicest Campsites I have ever visited. The facilities here are always spotless and the owners are lovely.
It is a nice quiet site and situated close to the Monsal Trail. So ideally situated for a great variety of walks.
Locally the Pack Horse Inn is less than 10 minutes walk away and well worth visiting. Bakewell is also easily accessible via the trail.
There are great views from the Campsite to enjoy.
The only advice I have to offer is the shower takes 20p or £1 coins. So take some into the shower block ready. £1 lasts long enough for a really good shower. I'm bald but I would have had plenty of time to shampoo.

Great little site, brilliant location for Bakewell, Monsal Head (with a pub & cafe a short walk up the road) & the Monsal trail.
Owners really welcoming,
Toilets/showers small but clean and good enough for a few nights stay.

This is a lovely little camp site with a small number of electric hook ups.
I initially contacted them through UKCampsite and had a quick response.
£20 for a hard standing electric hook up at the end of July, fantastic views.
Definitely a site to go back to.
