Fabulous views from this lovely rural site, and a perfect location for exploring the area either on foot/bicycle or if you are a tent camper or have a small camper van.
We took a car as well as our motorhome which was a good job as the entrance is a bit tight and off a busy, winding lane so a bit hairy for going in and out with a bigger motor home!
There’s a bit of traffic on the road but it’s not noticeable from the hard standing EHU pitches at the back. Water taps to each pitch so very convenient.
Plenty of room on the large grassy area to sit out when we visited, showers and toilets very clean (just one loo in each side plus an extra at the house which stays open all night.
Monsal Head is 5 mins away with breathtaking views plus food and drink at the slightly run down hotel.
Packhorse Inn about 10 mins walk away in Little Longstone does excellent food but only small so you will need to book; also a tea room in this village and lots of pubs and attractions (including Chatsworth) within 20 mins drive.
£25/night with EHU which we thought was excellent value for the location; friendly owners too.

Lovely, almost perfectly level, well-maintained ground.
Spotless toilet/shower facilities.
Proprietors very welcoming and helpful.
Beautiful surroundings and very convenient for the Monsal Trail.
It is next to a B road, so there is sometimes some traffic noise but not late into the evening.

Perfect campsite if you’re looking to take on the Monsal Trail, right round the corner from the main viewing point of the viaduct!
Campsite very windy, we moved our tent to a little spot behind the wall for the second night which was perfect!
Toilets were immaculate. Host was very kind and helpful. 20p for 90 seconds of shower, or you can get 7 minutes with a £1 coin.
Washing up station okay but only cold water and splashes onto your feet before hitting the drain.
Overall a great and quiet campsite, would recommend!

Views and farm surroundings are exceptional like a model view and owner is a good host but suffering from hearing.
Excellent pub just down the road and some fantastic walks.
Toilets and showers are clean.

This was our 2nd stay at Park House campsite, so we were familiar with the location & facilities.
Fairly basic but clean toilet & shower, which needs coins to operate.
The views and setting are beautiful & very tranquil.
Very narrow entrance for motorhomes so caution advised.
Fab pub within walking distance and fantastic walking.
Would stay again

Chilled site, friendly owners,
Could maybe do with more toilet/ shower facilities and beware you have to pay for the showers.
Great location, lovely area

Owner very friendly and helpful and views stunning. Very close to the Monsal Trail for great views and walks and 10 mins walk from the Packhorse Inn - I’d recommend booking as it’s a very busy pub.
Site very basic, clean loos/shower. Only one loo and one shower in each of ladies/gents. These are locked at night though - not sure why? But one further loo attached to the house but not so convenient.
Very basic sink for outside washing up with cold water and signs not to remove hot water from toilets - water pours out bottom of sink as no waste pipe so be prepared to get wet feet/trousers! At £25 a night for two of us facilities could be better.
Large arms cadets group doing D of E were double booked on to the site - we were told they were being put in different field but were literally over the wall from us. They were great but obviously a large group of youngsters are not the quietest.
