Great position for walking, along Monsal Trail and the wider area.
Only 2 hard standing pitches, but nicely positioned with EHU and water on pitch.
Quiet position, and the owner was lovely and informative.
Only one issue, a short walk 100mtr on the road before the foot path starts. Dog friendly with 2 pub/restaurants 5 mins and 10 mins away by foot.

Great little site that is open all year round. Suited me down to the ground as I needed a place to stay for a course in the area in January.
Hard standing that I chose was relatively flat, it had hook up which I didn't use or pay extra for.
The facilities are close by and well looked after, can't ask for more!

Beautiful location and a quiet site when we visited (end of November). Gorgeous views across the fields.
Perfect for our planned Monsal trail walks and to visit Chatsworth House.
The owners were very friendly and offered us advice on where to eat on our walk and access to the trail was a very short walk from the site. The Hassop Station cafe is highly recommended if you are walking towards Bakewell.
The toilet and shower block was clean and tidy and the water was hot in the shower (£1 coin for 5 minutes).
Unexpected bonus of a hard standing pitch and we didn’t use the EHU.
Would come again if we were in the area.

Proprietors were welcoming and very friendly.
Toilets and shower very clean (£1 for shower and worth it).
A perfect basic site for the Monsal Trail, we did the trail in 2 parts starting at Monsal Head a very short walk from the site.
Proprietor recommended the Packhorse Inn for food and it was amazing atmosphere and food.

No complaints to be given. We read the reviews, I believe you find out for yourself.
The site is a bit on the steep side, but it's on the monsal trail's doorstep.
No hot water wash pot facility would be the only downside I have.
I would go again despite this.

This is a great site but on a bit of a slope so you will need leveling ramps.
It is a short road walk to get to paths for monsal trail and other walks

Excellent campsite very clean and tidy.
Facilities very clean, only one toilet in the men's and womens with an additional unisex toilet. Only one shower in each room. Was enough for us with it being quiet but may not be if very busy.
Owners very nice and shown us around.
Ideal location for walks, 5 min drive to Bakewell.
Would definitely go back

The campsite is quit basic but very clean and well looked after.
It is very relaxing and peaceful apart from the road nearby but it wasn’t a problem at all.
The owner was very helpful and respectful He went out of his way to accommodate us and our needs.
We would definitely go back again.

Great little campsite in a lovely place, ideal for monsal trail and other bits around.
Host is very welcoming and had space as we hadn't booked.
Site facilities limited to one toilet and shower but we have our own in the camper so wasn't an issue,
Would definitely come back

The site is a rural house with a large garden used as a campsite. I find it expensive £20 per night for what they offer.
The facilities are very poor. One unisex bathroom. Showers that you have to pay for.
It is located on a noisy main road that is very narrow and dangerous to walk to any destination. , better to use the car.
The ground is not so uneven.
There is no EHU to use in the tents. To wash your plates you have to use a sink without drainage, mean you will wet your feet.
If you are looking for a very basic place for adults only you can consider this site.
