Lovely peaceful site surrounded by open countryside.
Pitches all nicely spaced out.
Lots of choices for walking/running or cycling and just a stones throw from Bakewell & Chatsworth house.

Great campsite and facilities, lovely owners.
Close to local pubs too! Not big, so doesn’t feel crowded.
Camping area is great, with protection from winds.

I booked a last minute trip to this site in my campervan with a group of friends in tents.
Maureen and Peter are a lovely couple and were very accommodating.
A great little site very close to some of the places where we like to go rock climbing.
Will definitely be staying there again.

Cheap and cheerful campsite,
Owners were lovely,
Everything was clean,
Road out front can be busy at times,
And two toilets between the whole site could be a problem in summer, a washing up sink would be useful for campers.
Has the bare necessities and is £10 per night per person

We were in a tent box on a Landrover with 2 dogs.
Ground very wet due to so much rain of late. small site perfectly placed for walking from at Monsal Head.
Very basic facilities ( one shower and one toilet for each M and F) - need £1 coins to operate the shower for 5 mons - it would have been good to know this BEFORE getting into the shower area and closing the door to see a meter hidden behind it. A note with the wash area would be good!
But all was very clean and gave us what we wanted.

Friendly welcome.
Good parking on hardstanding.
Lovely countryside. Very close to Monsal Head and lots of other walks. Short walk to pub(s).
Toilet and shower spotlessly clean.
Can see how in peak season one shower, two toilets may be a problem but out of season no complaints!

Plenty of spaces, but not the flattest of carparks, slightly to be expected based on location.
Lovely, peaceful area, perfect for a stopover between walks in the Peak District.
Great staff, super helpful on arrival
