We have just returned from a weeks holiday and must say I agree with everyone about the campsite, it is very nice and the showers are superb.
We found the shop to be very basic and expensive, not even selling newspapers.
Surrounding area is beautiful.

This is my fourth visit to the site - although haven't been for a few years.
Toilet blocks were as clean and warm as ever, with plenty of showers and loads of hot water.
Only critism is that we feel the site is starting to get a bit commercial - it was expensive for us and our friends to stay, 2 super pitches with a cooking tent and sun shelter (not a gazebo), dog and four children between us. No refund offered when we had to take down the shelter after a day as it was too windy to keep it up. This was just a canopy that went over our sitting area with tables and chairs. Are they now charging for the air above the pitch?
Shop is not very well stocked - couldn't get any bread on one day.
Will visit site again as children love the playground, and we like it's closeness to Morthoe but will choose our pitch carefully, top of site is very exposed and gets the wind full on.
Despite negative comments - it is a very clean and well run site, but I hope that it doesn't get any bigger or the family run feel might disappear.

First visit to this site & it is one of the best sites we have been to.
The toilets & shower facilities are excellent.
There is a lake on site with lots of small fish in, you can catch one every cast if you use smaller baits, The bigger fish are a bit harder to catch & like to dive straight into the weeds when you hook them.
The shop stocks basic supplies only.
The site has Wifi access anywhere on site, so for a reasonable charge you can connect to the internet.
The dogwalk at the back of the site has been planted with 1200 trees & covers 15 acres.
If you walk straight through this area & continiue down the lane you will end up at Lee Cove which is stunning & unspoilt. The walk takes about 35 minutes & is down some steep slopes so beware as it is even more tiring walking back.
The site is on top of a hill so on a misty day you are in the clouds,
Really you need a car to get to the beaches as the roads leading to them have steep inclines & no footpaths.
The site is aout 10 mins drive from Ilfracoombe,
5 Mins from Woolacoombe & 25 minutes from Croyd.
We certainly would visit this site again

We have just returned from a two week stay at this site and have never experienced a site that is so well run. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we arrived after a two week spell of rain to find our pitch slightly muddy, but the staff couldn't have been more helpful in putting down chippings and gravel so that we could get our little split screen on to our very secluded and large pitch. We were amazed at the cleanliness and high standard of the toilets and facilities, even when it rained! the whole site was friendly and safe for children to play. Another huge bonus was the beautiful dog walk where our dog enjoyed his freedom to play and my son enjoyed the downhill thrill on his bike! The views on a clear day from the top of the site were stunning and we shed a tear as we waved goodbye on a clear sunny day. We walked down sandy lane and along to Coombsegate and Barricane beach to avoid the crowds of Woolacombe on the weekends. A bit of a hike back up but well worth it. We will def be booking again for next year and would highly recommend this site to anyone who wants the perfect camping experience.

Spent 10 nights at this site at the end of August.
The site was well kept/clean with excellent toilet and shower facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful
Unfortunately, during most of our stay the weather was not kind to us. Due to the position of the site it is extremely open to the elements and we spent most of the week watching wind breaks/awnings go flying by!
Although I could imagine that on a clear and sunny day the views would be fantastic
10 minutes walk turning left out of the site is a good pub
Overall a nice site but not worth the expense to be honest - as we have no children/do not fish, then none of the facilities that the site offers are much use to us

We arrived to site and the staff were very helpful and friendly, we were shown to our pitch which was large and private also fully serviced. The pitch was water logged at back and took a bit of hard work to get caravan level, but the view was beautiful. The site has a children play area, which our 3 children enjoyed very much, being close to this had its good and bad points, good being able to watch our children play, bad in the fact that we had to listen to the zip wire from 10 in morning till 10 at night. The site has 2 shower blocks and both were lovely and modern and clean, the best I've ever had to use on any campsite. The roads out of site, were very narrow and we had a bike ride down to mortenhoe but roads very busy so felt not safe for children. There are many lovely beaches nearby, we visited woolacombe and putsborough both lovely, but cost six pounds to park. Overall a good site with great facilities and north devon is a beautiful place to visit.

Have not long returned from a weeks stay at Warcombe Farm. Its quite a decent sized site ,gently sloping at the start but it does level out mid way down the field, to some quite spacious pitches. Some of these pitches are quite secluded being tucked away in the hedgerows. Washing facilities are top notch can't really be faulted.
Now for the downsides. There are only a couple. The on site shop is, put bluntly, expensive. £12 for an instant grill / bbq, the fishing tackle is basic stock stuff and 3 or 4 times over priced. As is the ticket to fish, an hour with my 9yr old lad £3.50. The cafe / restaurant is a lean to over a counter, so don't go expecting a sit down!
In short it's a fair enough site, but definitely not worth the extra money it charges compared to many many other sites in the area.We will not be returning.

We booked this site in advance and paid top seasonal prices for a MotorHome service pitch as it was our first outing in a newly acquired unit. On arrival we were directed to a pitch which was still being vacated by the previous occupants who were a little dismayed at the eagerness of the site management to turn over the pitch.
It was evident that the weather had not been particularly favourable as the ground was on the verge of saturation. A great deal of wood chippings had been laid in an attempt to dry out the ground, however it was not actioned as a matter of course the staff had to be asked despite the obvious unfolding in front of them. Still, they did do their best despite the dreadful conditions underfoot.
Described as being close to Morthoe, it was infact about two miles away via a very busy road, or alternatively via a series of pathways accessed only via an adjacent site. The walk, was considerably further than the road option but a great deal safer for those on foot (the dog included). A map would have been handy as part of the arrival process, despite the fact that the on site shop sold some very good maps of the local area.
Not much can be done about the weather, however for a site commanding top rates, it was found to be somewhat short of the mark as far as facilities were concerned. Being pretty much a novice to the finer aspects of touring, I was very disappointed with this site from the pricing perspective.

Stayed on this site for 1 week. Thought this was long enough. There are nice pitches on this site but hard to know what to pick when booking. We stayed on a 'pitch plus' thinking we were picking the best pitch @ £30/night, plus £2.50/night awning, plus £1.50/night dog. When we arrived we put the van in position only to find that the waste pipe would not reach the drain. The drain is situated too far away from the van. Everyone else on the same row as us had the same problem. We then went in search of a caravan shop to purchase a pipe as the site did not sell these. The pitch we had was straight opposite the toilet block on very course hardcore. There was nowhere to put your table and chairs out on any grass at the side of the van. The road around the site was also straight in front of our pitch. Every time a vehicle went by a dust cloud formed. Again, no sitting outside the van / awning as your wine / food would be ruined.
The toilet block was lovely, but not cleaned enough at this busy time.
I used the laundry which stated £4/wash. I put £4 in and my washing was sopping wet when I came to take it out. 1 more £1 for a spin then into the tumble drier. £5 later and my wash was complete.
There was a dog bin straight in front of my sister-in-laws caravan which had poo bags overflowing out of it and quite a few on the floor for more than a couple of days.
For the money we paid we feel very disappointed.
From the site there are some beautiful walks.
You can walk from the site to Mortoe and Woolacombe and get the bus back - cost us £60p each. The walk to Lee Bay is lovely too.

Best toilet facilities ever - they even have heated floors! I would like a bathroom like this at home.
Flat site, bit of a walk down into Morthoe which I wouldn't want to do with children because of the road. Saying that there are also great footpath walks from the site and we walked to Lee Bay and back along the coast path which was a lovely route.
Play area and small lake on site.
Staff all lovely too.
