We have just returned from warcombe farm after a 3 night stay. We had lovely weather for the first day and visited Barricane beach off of the main Woolacombe bay (10 mins drive) which was a lovely shelly beach with great rock pools for the kids.
The campsite was very well run, with the best shower blocks I have ever seen- the under floor heating was bliss! Wonderful family shower rooms as well. Some of the pitches were on quite a slope and the ones at the top of the site are quite exposed.
The play area for the kid was OK, not that suitable for toddler aged children though. We had a great stay, but felt it was a tad expensive for what it was. One big tip is to take your own drinking water as the mains supply was disgusting, completely undrinkable as tasted very treated, not chlorine but almost an antiseptic taste- flavoured the food you cooked in it as well! Yuck

Just finished a weeks holiday at this park with family and friends, and I must say what a great place. Lovely park, very clean and the staff are very friendly. The toilets and showers are superb and plenty of hot water. All in all a great place to camp. There is also a lovely very well stocked pool for the fisherman and also at the far end of the park there are some birds of pray in a large aviary, can't wait to return

Stayed for five beautiful days over the Easter holidays. We decided to have a lazy tea and ate from the on site takeaway on our first night, the only words that I can say is yuk. The site is absolutely lovely beautifully maintained, very clean and like everyone has already mentioned the shower/toilets are stunning. My only complaint would be that both toilet blocks are very close to the premier and caravan pitches, which mostly already have toilet facilities. If you have young children I would strongly recommend you request a pitch near the toilets, as there can be quite a distance to walk if you're at the far end of the camping area. Just outside the site about five min drive there is a pub/restaurant called 'Cook island', I would highly recommend especially the all you can eat breakfast buffet and the carvery is stunning. Enjoy.

What a lovely site, on arrival friendly staff welcome us to our very large pitch.
The site is well laid out, all pitches are spacious and the children's play area is very well looked after and maintained, as is everything on site.
Toilet and washing up facilities in one block with washing machines and dryers. The floor is heated and toilets were clean and spacious.
Family shower rooms are amazing, wet room complete with toilet, sink, bench, steam free mirrors and plenty of hangers! The water is warm and powerful but not too hot for children!.Very lush to be honest.
The staff are friendly and when my daughter fell in the play area they picked me up from our tent on one of the sites buggies and were very attentive and looked after her well. Thanks Darryl!
The on site shop is so reasonable, it could be so overpriced as most on site shops are but everything is priced well, bottle of wine £3.49, corkscrew 99p. They do baguettes fresh every day and there is an on site cafe that has plenty of choice and again reasonably priced!
The dog walking area has beautiful views and is 14acres of newly planted trees which our dog loved bounding around.
Fishing lake.Hubby forgot his tackle but we saw fish being caught.
We are very very impressed with this site and are definitely going back later this year!
The owners, staff and facilities are commendable
My only (petty) moan would be that the toilets in the main block are unisex and sometimes men, erm to be nice, are not so accurate as women and can leave a mess. Also quite awkward for the early morning run up when you are faced with burly men doing their 'business'.But this is just my personal opinion.
Toilets were cleaned regularly and there are signs saying if unhappy find a staff member!
Go visit this site, take a drive down to Lee bay and have a ball!.We did

Just returned. Week prior to Easter, very quiet. Bliss! and for £15:00 per night inc the leccy! What has been said about the facilities here are just about right, top class, family shower room you would be proud to have in your own home. The facility block opposite from us though more crowded[with wc/wash facility. But again very clean and up together and very functional.
Weather was great, which helps but even so the place was very good. Walked through the large planted field and an abundance of birdlife, seen my/our first skylarks, and heard our first cuckoo of the year. Indentifying map of planted trees on display at the field entrance for the tree minded peeps.
Several pubs in the nearby village of Mortehoe offering reasonable fayre and a larger one on the main road to Woolacombe [about 5 mins away] doing a reasonably priced and varied menu. Will return here again with no hesitation.

Have just returned from Warcombe Farm having spent 4 glorious sunny days. Stayed on one of the new premier pitches which are absolutely enormous. It was not only fully serviced but also included a picnic table and brick built BBQ.
The staff were the friendliest and most helpful I have come across at any site and the family bathrooms are better than most 5 star hotels. This site must surely be one of the best if not the best in the whole of the UK. There's an excellent pub at the top of the lane and only a short drive away is Woolacombe with it's stunning beach, shops, pubs and restaurants. Forget giving this site a 5 star rating it deserves a 6!

We arrived on site after driving over Exmouth on a foggy and wet day without making a booking. We had no trouble getting a pitch as site was almost empty.
This is probably one of the best sites we have been at, we were given a hardstanding pitch at no extra cost, opposite the toilet block. The showers were that good you didn't want to come out. Pitches were large and individual.
At the far end of the site is the biggest dog walk you've ever seen.
Hundreds of trees have been planted around the dogwalk so that in a few years it will be a forest.
Would definitely revisit and spend more time at this site (and the showers)

Spent 9 days here in August when the weather was mainly windy and raining. The staff were really friendly & helpful - after showing us to our pitch, they put chippings down to soak up some of the rain & mud. The pitches were really generous and the strategic planting of trees made you feel like you also had some privacy.
The shower/toilet block was lovely and warm with piping hot showers. The shower cubicles were also quite spacious which is great if you've also got young children. There was also a shelving unit, chair and a bin - again very useful. They were always clean too.
The site is ideally situated for getting to other places such as Woolacombe, Ilfracombe, Exmoor etc. We tended to drive to where we were going and then walk as didn't really like to walk down the narrow roads - especially with the children.
When we go back to Devon, I would definitely visit this site again.

Spent 8 days here from 7th August. Weather was mixed but the site didn't get waterlogged even through the heaviest of downpours. Reiterate previous comments about cleanliness, great showers etc. The pitch sizes are very generous and the surrounding scenery is very pretty.
It's not obvious if you don't know about it, but if you walk through the woodland area (dog walking too) you can exit into a field and onto a public footpath. This avoids the roads which are bad enough in a car but terrible if trying to walk along them (which we did!). The footpaths take you to Lee Bay, Mortehoe and Woolacombe. Steep walk back but from the beach at Mortehoe but you do feel you deserve a glass of wine while you gaze across the lake!
The shops sells a map of walks around the area for a couple of quid, which we found useful.
There are areas for the kids to play, but some loud ones decided to play footie in front of our tent (ball hit car several times), this is down to parents not adhering to the rules, rather than the fault of the site, but maybe some more signs up, say near the toilets would be good. Would recommend the site to anyone, but did see two other sites en route to Mortehoe which looked equally good.

We visited this site after reading the reviews and decided to treat ourselves to the luxury showers and even upgraded to a lake side pitch. All worth the money.Cost us with four children and two cars the best part of £50 a night, but well worth it.
The showers are of hotel standard and you can easily shower with a young child, and not even need the family rooms. Brilliant.
The washing facilities (of clothes) are the best I've ever seen.Four new washing machines underneath, and four new tumble dryers on top! The cleanest wash I've ever had on a campsite!
We had typical English weather, and on one occasion had almost 36 hours continual drizzly wet rain. We noticed that when campers up and left and there was any possibility of the tent pitch (you do have to pitch tent and car etc in the way the site tell you to) being damp or muddy then chippings were immediately laid. We had gained such a small patch entering our tent, and simply asked for some chippings, which were readily given. The rain left a hugE boggy puddle at the end of our pitch and I thought we were going to be left with mud, but no, after a day it had completely drained and no mud!
We pitched at the bottom end of the field around the lake, and the lower down you go the more secluded and protected from the wind you become. Simply ask when booking telling them what you'd prefer.
Definitely a camp site to put on your favourites.
