September 2004 What a great campsite!
Situated near Ilfracombe and close to Woolacombe. There's a bit of a trek if you stay in some parts of the camping / tent field, but it's worth it when you see the views at the top!
Super deluxe new shower block with heated floor and ample room for everyone! Fishing pond was great, lots of beautifully kept fish. The views were fantastic and the staff were really friendly.
Shame the campsite wasn't nearer to the town centre (Woolacombe / Ilfracombe) as I don't think you could walk to either, but there was a bus route which was quite good. You more or less have to drive everywhere and the nearest supermarket is in Ilfracombe but the shop on site which sells the basics (lots of beer and wine.. always a bonus!)
There was a man who sold fish in an old ice-cream truck, great if you were barbequing!
Would go again!

August 2004 Good site, very reasonably priced too. The new shower block is amazing although they could do with an extractor fan as it got extreamly hot and steamy. We stayed when the weather was very bad and the site did get quite water logged and muddy where everyone drove to and from the toilets. The first half of the site is very exposed to the weather and has a great veiw, past the lake there are some trees and bushes to shelter you. It's very close the to both Morthoe and Woolacombe beach. We will be going back again next year we had a great time despite the bad weather.

July 2004 We spent a week at Warcombe farm and had a fantastic time. Our pitch was at the bottom of the site, surrounded by trees and shrubs giving plenty of privacy. The shop was well stocked with a calor gas refil being half the price we paid for one at outdoor action!!! The take away and restaurant service has just been opened this year. Didn't try the eat-in (plenty did) but take out was very slow - 3/4 hour for 3 portions of chips!) Possibly they just need to find their feet in this area as the whole thing is family run. Nice fish van turns up twice a week with fish in foil ready to go on the barbie. New shower block fantastic, although we were at the far end of the site neither us or the 2 small children felt the need to travel to them in the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! quite a few did. Would definitely go back.Prices reasonable too.

July 2004 They've invested some serious money into this site, and it definately shows.
Very clean, fantastic washroom facilities and really friendly.
We were there during that really, really windy, stormy, rainy week in early July (thanks to the on-site warden for helping out with anchoring and restructuring a now half-dome tent!) - the site is pretty exposed, but get to the bottom of the field and seek shelter in some of the tucked-away parts.
Great for kids, plenty of room to run around etc. Excellent location for the beaches of North Devon - recommended.

June 2004 First time camping with the family and could not have wished for a better start. The site is very clean and well maintained with super shower and toilet facilities.
Easy to get to and find. Staff were very friendly. Price is excellent, and serviced pitches available. All in all an excellent start to our 'camping holidays', and a site we will definitely be revisiting. Paul

July 2004 We went to Warcombe farm on a Thursday for 2 nights and came home Saturday afternoon. The campsite was very quiet and peaceful. The reception was open at the time we got there but when we went back an hour later to tell them what pitch we were on, it was shut. The notice did say to go to the house on-site but we didn't bother. The shop was only open 2 times during the day. In the morning for 2 hours and the evening again for 2 hours. But this maybe because it was not high season. The new toilet/shower block is in a different league and we wanted to bring them back with us as they were that good. Underfloor heating, automatic sensors on the showers (they were not totally working properly, but we didn't care!), nice modern washing machines (£3 for 3 cycles). Yes, these facilities were worth the price alone (we paid £16 for the 2 nights, 2 adults and a dog with a tent). They were shut for 3 hours on the Friday and had to use the very old toilet block which were rubbish compared to the other one! The campsite is nicely laid out with a fishing lake in the middle and pitches all around. There are some lovely sheltered cut-out pitches which was good for us as the first night we were there it was very windy! One complaint I would make is that it needs another modern toilet block on the other side of the campsite. Although 1 was enough while we were there, we think that if the campsite was full, there may not be enough toilet/showers for everyone. Another complaint we had is that there were codes on the doors and we were not told the code until we went back and asked. She said she forgot but it really should have been the first thing she told us! Also, the dog walking area, although completely fenced off, is full of trees, shrubs, nettles, weeds, etc.. So if you want to lose your dog in the bushes when you let him off the lead, then this is the place to do it! Overall, we enjoyed our stay here asides the minor niggles and we would recommend this campsite to all. 8 out of 10

June 2004 Just got back. What a great site. The shower block is a good as it gets. The tent pitches are spaced and landscaped to give a really nice atmosphere. The staff were really welcoming and helpful and it does have a great family atmosphere. It is very likely we will go again. How good was it? Well we went for the first time with out 2 yr old and had lousy weather plus a tent we had never used before and yet had a marvelous time. Well worth a visit.

19-20 June '04 What a great site. Lovely pitches hidden within a luxurious foliage of trees and shrubs with or without electric hook ups. New playground for the children and wonderful lake where we caught 12 fish with just sweetcorn for bait! (Fishing licence £2.50 a day)
The crowning glory was the brand new toilet block, which was absolutely fabulous. We have never come across anything like it in all our years camping. There must have been 15-20 showers just in the ladies and they were really clean with built in shelving for clothing and odds and ends. Was also pretty cosy in there due to the under floor heating. Only slight problem that we encountered was that the showers ran out of water at least twice during our stay. Hopefully just teething problems! Other than that we really enjoyed our stay and have already made plans to return again in August.

May 2004 We visited this site weekend of 14/5/04. Exteremely impressed with the new toilet block - we've visited quite a few 'top end' sites and have never seen such a fantastic clean heated block with free hot showers (about 20 for each sex). It would shame a posh London hotel. The owners were planning to open a restaurant facility at Whitsun - it looks great. The site itself is close to a number of excellent (and not too grockly) beaches - it is clean, well spaced and the caravans look down on a very attractive lake with the sea in the background. We found it amazing to be charged only £7 per night.

January 2004 This I hope, will be of interest to campers visiting Warcombe this year. The roof is now on the new toilet block, it is a complete contrast to the existing one! (thank goodness). By Easter it will be complete. The block is totally underfloor heated so there will be no cold feet when using one of the 30, yes 30 new showers. It is also full of the usual Hair dryers, wash up, veg prep, lauderette, etc. It also comes with a Family bathroom, and disabled toilet and shower facilities. Thank you Ps. There is a new resturant on site too.
