Excellent site this was our 4th visit and it seems to get better each time. Site owners and staff are always friendly and there to assist with any query. Facilities are 4 star, best toilet blocks ever seen on a camp site. The site is on a slope but the pitches are level. The top part of the site can be a bit exposed but the lower part is in well established trees and bushes giving privacy and protection from the weather. The way the site is laid out gives privacy even when it's busy. For dogs there is a massive walk and exercise area in newly planted woodland the owner even cuts the grass to create walks through the dog area.

Surrounding area is very picturesque with nice walks

Booked the same pitch for 2014 before leaving, think that says it all.

Recommend this site and will be back in 2014

We stayed here Spring Bank holiday week. The site is very well presented and you are guided to your pitch on arrival. There is a large variety of pitches on this site. There is no entertainment other than a children's playground and woodland walk. This was fine for us. We stayed on the expensive premier pitches which overlooked the lake, they are very spacious if a little clinical.

My only gripe is that at over £300 pounds for a week WiFi should be included. Its something we use a lot to find out opening times and prices for attractions.

Its a five minute drive to the beach at Woolacombe which is fantastic, we spent four glorious days on it. Parking is quite expensive at £6. 00 a day but if you take a packed lunch its not a bad price for a day out. Croyde bay is just down the coast a little. Ilfracombe is also close by. The nearest big town is Barnstaple which seems to have everything. If arriving Saturday Braunton is a real bottle neck and the approach road to the site is quite narrow with numerous large vehicles using it.

We would definitely stay again at this site but wouldn't pay for the superior pitch and pay for WiFi instead.

Just returned from a three night break. Campsite was surprisingly empty, possibly due to poor weather recently. Couldn't fault site in any way. Staff friendly without being overpowering, not too many rules and regs, large, well cared for pitches. Showers immaculate and warm. Fishing lake well stocked ( too many tiddlers for my liking). Visited Grampus PH at Lee on Friday night, which was entertaining. Walked to Bennetts Mouth via dog field and returned via Mortehoe - superb in the Spring sunshine. Cream tea at Sandleigh Croyde excellent. Thought Ilfracombe very tired and scruffy - sad, as I spent many happy times there as a child. Looking forward to returning to Warcombe already.

We stayed at Warcombe Farm over a frosty, frigid but sunny Easter weekend.

An excellent site with a large variety of pitches to suit most folks tastes and unit. We had pitch 236 (Water, EHU) which was at the bottom of the site with views of rolling Devon hills leading to the sea. For us these pitches suited our taste best, sheltered, quiet, private, scenic and in the summer I imagine very leafy. It is a bit of a walk from the facilities but not too far.

As has been said on here already the facilities are superb, the type you would find in a upmarket health club or gym. Consistently spotless, endless hot water and showers so good I nearly had to call for help as I could not drag myself out. We have two young children (2&4) and the family bath and shower rooms were very appreciated.

The warden / owner was friendly, helpful, chatty and efficient, we were quickly shown to the pitch, asked if it suited and then he checked up on us half an hour later to see if we were ok. As we left we had a follow up visit to check we had a good stay. Good service. Likewise they were very helpful with the booking and answered both my questions on the phone and further emails with prompt friendliness.

The site is very close to Woolacombe and Morthoe. Woolacombe beach is utterly fabulous and a personal favourite. You can get away from the crowds very easily walking west for a 5-10 minutes towards middle beach where the dunes provide the back drop to the crashing surf. Great rock pools for kids and Dad to poke around in and maybe one of the best beaches for making sandcastles.

Lot's of attractions nearby for the kids when they get bored of the beach (how?!) or when it's raining.

We walked around the site on the last day with the map making notes of other great pitches for future stays.

Well done Warcombe Farm, we'll see you again very soon indeed!

Stayed for 2 nights in September. Site very quiet with only a few pitches taken.

Site easy to find from main Woolacombe road. The road is a little bit narrow in places to reach the site but a couple of stopping places.

Upon our arrival we found the site looked really new & fresh - in good condition, good fencing, signage, well kept grass etc. Site is large and the top of the site (entrance and by the play area & reception) gives really nice panoramic views out over the sea.

Checked in and given a choice of pitches. We were taken personally to our pitch and advised about fire points, dog walk, etc by the bloke on the buggy. Our pitch (243) was enormous, probably the biggest pitch we've ever had in 7 years of touring, so much so that you probably could have fitted 2 motorhomes very easily onto our pitch. Good hardstanding, with light bollard, water, EHU, very sturdy picnic bench and brick BBQ point. It was sheltered on 3 sides by grass/shrubs & trees - we had no view down on pitch 243 but that did not bother us as we were a short walk from the dog walk and the lower toilet block.

If you want sea views you are better off going to the top of the park. Grass pitches start from pitch 1 (near entrance) and then you get to hard standing pitches on the terraces. Terraced hard standing row 42-49 pitches also give sea views but as you go higher up in pitch numbers the lower down the park you will go (and the less of the view). If you don't mind being exposed, which will be the case towards the park entrance these are the best 'view' pitches. If you want more sheltered and private pitches these are down past the lake and towards the dog walk area (right at the bottom of the site), there are no sea views on these pitches but they are very sheltered and some have hedging. Pitches do vary in size and style so it's best to enquire when booking but the fully serviced ones down the bottom half (past the lake) are huge.

The dog walk was also huge (14 acres) with lovely views out over the coast. Warcombe Farm have been very generous with their dog walk which is big plus for us as they only charged 50pence per dog which is amazing seeing as other sites really do take the mickey with the dog charging and providing next to nothing for dogs so well done Warcombe Farm on this!

Toilets & showers - hotel style in quality, we'd really seen nothing like this on past sites. Dark granite style colours of doors/cubicles with swanky shelves in the showers instead of hooks. They were spotless, everything was gleaming and very very posh. Lovely tiled floors with underfloor heating. In our block was a laundry room, disabled bathroom and family room with a bath and baby changing table. The small niggles I have with this site come from the shower/loo block:

The toilet cubicles are quite small in the ladies (for those of us who are curvy) which was made worse with a very large toilet roll dispenser on the side wall encroaching into your space when sat on the loo (really annoying), why can't sites put these on the back wall behind you? And then the obligatory sanitary waste bin one side of the loo. There are loads of toilet cubicles, I think they would have been better to maybe decrease the loo's by 3-4 cubicles and then had more room overall but as I said these are 'my' minor niggles!

The showers, very posh but : the main light in the toilet block works on a sensor and the light went off when I was showering and would not come back on (despite me moving), thankfully I showered in the day so had some light coming in but I would not have liked this at night. There is no shower curtain (a bugbear of mine). The tiles are a little bit slippery underfoot when wet. The shower works on sensor also (so will stop every so often) and you cannot change the temperature and I did find it a bit overpowering with a hot shower & hot floor (underfloor heating) so I couldn't wait to get out of the shower block for some fresh air! Maybe the site needs to review when and how hot they need the underfloor heating on as in a sunny September I don't think it was needed to be on. That said these things may not bug other campers but for me despite the shower block being amazing to look at it was not 100% perfect.

To sum up, very nice, well kept & well managed site in a lovely location. Ideal for exploring all of the North Devon coast & attractions. Recommended for families, dog owners who like modern/clean facilities within a short drive of Woolacombe.

We booked our two night stay at Warcombe Farm over the phone with relatively short notice and we must say that despite this, we were dealt with in a very helpful and courteous manner.

Warcombe is well laid out and beautifully maintained, all of the facilities are great, especially the toilets and wonderful showers.

In all, the site more than suited us although but … (our preference) we wouldn’t like to be there at peak season for no other reason than the tranquillity and peace would be shattered.

Would we return? Probably not as we've been there, done that. This is no reflection on Warcombe - it is a beautiful site.

My family camped on this site the second time and on this occasion we chose a Premier pitch (83) overlooking the lake and the pitch which was huge! As on my previous visit the facilities e. G. Showers, toilets, etc, were excellent.

The views from the site are amazing and there are lovely country and coastal walks on the door step. Also, the Tarka (traffic free) cycle trail is very near to the site but you need to walk/cycle along the road to get to it.

On this visit our pet dog became critically ill and was hospitalised at a vet. The illness was not necessarily connected with the site nor were the site the cause. However, the site dealt with the situation admirably, were very sympathetic and bent over backwards to help in what was a very emotional and difficult situation. Our stay had to be extended whilst my dog was at the vet and the site accommodated this. They site cannot be praised enough! Thankfully, despite the odds, my dog made a safe and healthy recovery. After what was a terrible situation, we have some happy memories and enjoyed our stay at Warcombe Farm. We shall return in the future

Our first holiday in a trailer tent and with dog.

I can't praise this site enough. Helpfull, friendly staff, nice sized pitches, absolutely the best shower blocks and toilet facilities I have ever come across at any site.

We had some bad weather for a few days but this site really made up for it.

Dog walk is a lovely idea and a great size.

Also the home made Chutneys on sale at reception are to die for.

We did some very long and very beautiful walks with the dog while we were there.

Families with children seemed to be having a great time.

Fresh fish van comes every Tuesday and the fishing lake seems very popular.

Just returned from a lovely week at Warcombe Farm. It was our first visit to the site. We were very impressed, the site is very well looked after and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The toilet/shower facilities are the best we have ever used!

We had a lovely private pitch, but all of the other open pitches looked very generous in size. The dog walk was wonderful. Our dog had a brilliant time!

We were very lucky with the weather which made our stay even more enjoyable. I would not hesitate in recommending this site.

We have just returned from this site, and this was our first visit here. It won't be our last! As others have said, the main plus points of this site have to be the excellent dog walking field and the toilets/shower blocks.

The site was very clean, and although busy didn't feel crowded. We had a lovely pitch surrounded on three sides by shrubbery -

the only down side is that we felt quite close to the pitch opposite, and when we return will take more with us in the way of a wind break/shield to afford us that bit more privacy when sitting outside.

But this is only a minor point - overall a super family and dog friendly site in a perfect location.
