August 2003 A large pleasant site with plenty of hook up areas for caravanners and alot of sapce for camping. The camping areas are very pleasant especially past the fishing lake, the owners have left alot of the original vegetation in place giving lots of secluded pitches & some larger areas. The major draw back is the single shower/toilet block. The queue for the 3 available (and to be frank not the most luxurious) showers was so long that I decided that a rub over with a flannel would have to do! If the owners complete the 1/2 finished block, that will help, but the site really needs another block at the other end. Pitches at the top of the site slope, and past the lake tend to be flat. A great cheap site for an occasional visit (in a tent).

Aug 2003 Great site for a beach holiday. Five minutes to woolacombe beach and close to village of morthoe. Parking at woolacombe beach in august is however horrendous - be prepared to get there early. Lots of room on the site and excellent for children playing. Dogs welcome with great dog walking area. Would recommend super pitches backing onto lake with own water etc. Only downfall of this site is one toilet block for over 100 pitches. The queues for 3 showers is bad at any time of day! They promise a new toilet block for summer next year - check they have it before you go and then this will be an excellent site. Cheap at the moment I reckon they will put the price up when they get new toilets. I wouldn't reccomend this site if got a tent and small children, the walk to the toilets can be a good five minutes away.

August 2002 Large site, 100+ pitches. Has its own fishing lake and a lot of space for kiddies to play/run around.
We went in the middle of the summer holidays, which was brave as we do not have children. The site operates a good policy of no children playing after about 9pm and this was adhered to while we were there. The only fault was during the daytime, as the site was full, the showers were a bit of a mess.
Overall, the site was excellent and would recommend it as a good base for the north of Devon.
