As this is a Caravan and Camping Club site, you get all the frills you would expect from a Club Site ie Good toilet and shower facilities (with underfloor heating - wonderful!) along with areas to do your washing up.
Staff are pleasant and welcoming, but did seem a bit overwhelmed with the number of people queuing to get in and a bit of tension could be felt in the air.
However, you will be shown to your pitch by a friendly warden and we have never experienced any issues relating directly to us. The site is situated down a lane, which can take 2 way traffic with care - proceed with caution with your caravan.
The site is well maintained with a good play area for children to utilise and if you ask the wardens when you arrive, they do their best to accommodate you close to the park area or away as you desire.
The main reception also doubles up as a very small shop for emergency supplies. There are a number of proper hard standing pitches on the site, but hard standing for this site also means rubber matting set in to the grass, which can still get water logged in our experience so bear this in mind. For this reason, the main hard standing pitches are usually taken up quickly.
There are good walks from the site, include around Kingsbury Water Park itself and along the Grand Union Canal. You can walk up to The Dog and Doublet pub, which is not a big walk up the canal and have a nice drink and watch the world and boats go by.
For the children, there is a farm called Broomey Childrens Farm, approx 5 minute walk from the site. You can purchase food to feed the animals, which is great fun - especially with the goats! This is a good site, with good facilities for all the family.
Unlike others, we have never noticed any traffic noise from the nearby motorways during our stays.

We weren't disappointed or surprised with the site as were just going to use it as a base for exploring the water parks next door for fishing and walking. The site was spacious with 2 shower and toilet blocks with good laundry and pot washing facilities.
The weather was good in the day but by night it was cold -2*c. The noise of the m42 easily had the most impact on our sleep, but as the weather was very cold at night it may have been a combination of both. The toilets and showers were clean and always had space. We visited kingsbury waterpark on all days and if you visit the part directly next door leave the car on camp to avoid parking charges. The waterpark is divided into two halves with pay for parking at both. If fishing you need to go to the other side of the park to the main visitor centre to buy fishing day ticket from the machine on the day you intend to fish for the specific lakes which are divided between the parks.
The canal is near the campsite and the river is over the other side on the main kingsbury water park visitor centre. For directions the reception and staff are very helpful or check out kingsbury waterpark on website with warwickshire gov site as it is isnt part of the camping and caravan site as the name may suggest. There is a good supply of literature in the campsite information centre with information where to eat and shop and directions available at the time with special offers or promotions with the various establishments.

We stayed here for new year 2009/2010.
The plus points were the cleanliness and the heated shower & toilet block, it was lovely having warm tiles to stand on.
The location is right next to Kingsbury Water Park itself and you can walk to it from the site, our dog's quite old though so we drove to the main bit and the price to get through the barrier is pretty extortionate just to let the dog out of the car for a short walk, I think it was £2.50.
The site itself is just 'ok', it's quite regimentally laid out with no open views and the road noise is constant, it wasn't full when we were there and I can imagine feeling quite hemmed in when it's high season.
I must mention the wardens however who were very friendly and helpful.

This was my first weekend away in a tourer. Easy to book in and showed to our pitch. A little pricey!
The site is well spaced out and grounds are kept well. Site owners were very helpful. My rabbit Reg came along with us and I had some very funny looks when walking him around the site! But he seemed to enjoy it.
There is a noise from the M42, but we got use to it. Travelled 5 mins into Kingsbury village. Walked all around the water park and then up to the canal and ate at the local pub on the tow path.
A very good park and will visit again.

We came to this site for the first time in November 2009 and found the facilities to be excellent so much so that we vowed to return again, little knowing how soon it would be.
We returned for Christmas 2009 and were due to travel up from West Wales on Christmas Eve. However we got snowed in at home, a swift call to the Park and we were informed that they didn't take new arrivals on Christmas Day. However they were very kind and broke off from their Christmas festivities to get us on pitch.
The wardens are fantastic making you feel very welcome.
Barry and Wendy we take our hats off to you and your staff.
We only intended to stay for 3 nights but enjoyed it so much we stayed for the New Years Festivities which were excellent and we got to mix with the many other campers for one night (well recommended)
Now the Site.
Fantastic Toilet Blocks with underfloor heating, very clean.
The Superior pitches are listed as hard standing and these are made up of embedded nylon with a compact surface (other reviewers should have asked why,and they would have been told it was for planning purposes)
Yes they can get muddy but what do you expect in the depths of Winter.
Plenty of Hookups and water points.
There is a short walk down a path to the Water park where we could exercise our dogs out of harms way of the traffic.
The M42 runs quite close but we soon got used to the traffic noise.

Nice site and busy considering its December.
Lovely toilet and shower block and good kids play area.
Lots of lovely walks around kingsbury waterpark.
The only fault I can report on is pPaying £3.20 a night extra for a hard standing which is not a hard standing, its a kind of plastic with holes in sank into the grass and muddy as hell. The standard pitches were less muddy as less used.
We expected the noise from the motorway but have to say we couldn't here it when in bed at night.
Nice pub 10 mins walk away, the dog and doublet.

Have been here once before and do like the location - as previous poster mentioned - the hardstanding is 'grassed over' so we got very muddy! The noise from the motorway did not bother us - our heater was louder! The site is spotless and shower facilities great so just ignore rudeness!
The water park is a fifteen minute walk away - well worth taking binoculars as lots of varieties of birds along route. Its a nice walk with good access and flat ground for those with pushchairs. The water park is fantastic - there are 2 play areas, lots of nice walks, many friendly ducks & geese and a lovely cafe that serves fry ups, hot baguettes and the like. The kids loved the miniature railway and at £1 each for a ride - not bad value for money.
As you have to be off site by 12- It is always worth bringing your caravan round to the water park on the day of departure - it is only £3 for the day and there always seems to be space to park the van and enjoy more time at the water park!
We do like it here and will be back.

One of the best sites we've ever been to 3rd time there. Lots of outside rallies at week ends. Great cycling area, great dog walking. Lovely canals, lakes and surrounding areas.
Minutes away from Thomas the Tank Land and Drayton Manor.
A very well kept site with Nice friendly staff who are only too happy to help and advise. Central Black Country
Will definitely be back soon.

Our family was Mum, Dad, two kids aged 9 & 7 plud our soppy dog.
We arrived to find 5 units in front of us awaiting check in and pitching so after a small delay, we were pitched, but no without problems. I'm good with a van on the back, having done HGV, but the warden failed to ensure that I knew where the hardstanding area of the grassed area was while backing the van up which led to 3 wave off's and a curse by me before the information was passed to myself.
The M42 runs alongside the site and we found the road noise at midnight time to be most noticeable even inside our caravan.
The wardens ensured we knew the exact rules regarding our dog, to the point that I became annoyed at the repeated 'No dog walk on site'.
There are loads of different walks off of this site, but the best in our view was underneath M42 and towards the playground as our kids loved this playground more than the sites playground.
The shower block was always clean, always warm and the water always hot.
The kids farm nearby is over priced in our view but is good value if your on a Grand parents / Grand kids outing as the total space is very compact.
If you stop here, make sure you check out the miniature train in Kingsbury Water Park, it is great and with the extension work under way, it will only get better for the kids.
Both Birmingham and Tamworth are really nearby and this site has easy access off of the M42.

Stayed here over the 'Halloween' week-end to coincide with a Firework spectacle at Drayton Manor Park. A great location quite literally 8 minutes from the Park itself. A lovely Site to the usual fantastic 'club standard'. Facilities as always were superb with the staff as friendly and as helpful as ever. Shops a similar distance to Drayton Manor Park away from the site. We always use Camping And Caravanning Club Sites and were all in agreement ( Wife, Son and me) that this one had probably the best play area that we had seen so far! Only negatives were that the 'noise from the nearby road' was quite literally like staying right next to a Motorway- and all through the night as well. It certainly wasn't peaceful at night. And a bit dissapointed that we had booked 'hardstanding' which was actually 'grassed over'. I book hard standing to remove the mess of muddy feet etc, but grassing over it cancels this out.! All in all though a great site for Drayton manor and other nearby facilities, great for kids to play and run around on, but not one if you want a 'peaceful weekend retreat'!
