This was our first ever camping trip as a family. I had camped with my parents as a child but my hubby had never been camping before and was not really keen on the idea. However, I'd convinced him to try it out with some friends of ours. We borrowed my parents tent and headed off for the weekend. The site was such a wonderful suprise! Gone were the style of campsites that I had experienced as a child. The facilities here were clean, ample and had lovely hot showers. The staff were really friendly and helpful and showed us to our pitches. The pitches were a good size and didn't feel cramped at all. All the pitches were within easy stroll to the toilet blocks - even ours which were at the far end of the site.
Whilst staying at the site we took a stroll to see the farm animals next door. The kids (all under 5) loved it and had a ball feeding the animals and taking a ride on the back of a large trailer pulled by a tractor. Snacks in the farm's little cafe were lovely too. The next day we went to Cadbury world and had a lovely time finding out all about Chocolate - and eating it too! Well worth a visit even if the entry fees were a little expensive.
We all had such a good time and the campsite was so good that my hubby and I went out and bought our own tent the following weekend. We're now hooked on camping and have upgraded our tent and kitted ourselves out properly.

We have just returned from two nights here. This was our first outing in our caravan after buying it two weeks ago. The staff are very friendly and helpful and as we were joining friends we were escorted to our pitch. The facilities on this site can only be described as excellent and in the weather we are having at the moment (cold) they were warm and spotless given the soft ground on the site.
The site is well placed for a number of attractions in the area and there is a very informative notice board in the toilet/shower block adjacent to the site office. Kingsbury village is nearby with enough small shops to tied you over for a couple of days, further afield is Tamworth with the usual array of out of town supermarkets. We would recommend this site to anyone for a short break as we had or a longer stay if you wanted to see the surrounding area

We have just returned from a 3-night stay and will definitely return.
They are very strict on the 12-noon entry and wouldn't open up a moment earlier despite there being a back-log of car / caravans, so there is no point in arriving earlier in the hope of getting in.
We were travelling with friends and asked if it would be possible to be sited on adjacent pitches if available. The warden gave me the standard 'talk' saying that he had noted my request on the booking form but that there was no guarantee etc. Which I could understand if the site was busy, but on looking around later on it was apparent that it wasn't even 1/3rd full, so the 'talk' seemed a little pointless.
However, we were delighted with the facilities - the shower blocks & toilets were absolutely immaculate throughout our stay.
A great base if you have kids / dogs as there are miles & miles of walks around the Water Park next door.
The Dog & Doublet Pub which is just a 10-min walk (though we went in the car - 2 mins) served up a super Sunday lunch. Even more enticing.Camping & Caravan Club Members got a 10% discount off meals (not drinks).
All in all a very pleasurable holiday.

Lovely open site, Some of the hardstandings are the nylon mesh variety and are naturalised into the grass which is well cared for. Toilets are meticulously clean and well maintained with underfloor heating in the showers. The wardens are friendly and very helpful. The area is surrounded by walks, lakes and woodland. Nearest Pub is a mile walk along the canal towpath. The only problem with this site is the noise from the m6/m42 this is not especially noticeable during the day but is intrusive at night.

Our first real outing with the full compliment of equipment (awning etc.). We chose this site as it was close and easily accessible. Also it is ideally located for good long walks around the water park next door.
On arrival the staff couldn't do enough. We explained we were new to the caravanning scene, and they took everything nice and easy.
The wardens helped me reverse onto the pitch. And then offered to help but weren't pushy.
The facilities, location and scenery was excellent. Safe for the kids to ride the bikes. The playground was new, but very busy. If you are wanting a quiet time, don't pitch next to the play area ! Lesson learnt.
The shower and wash facilities were excellent, we made use of the family room with it's huge shower, and room to bath our 1 year old. Perfect.
The people on site were friendly, and there were lots of newbies.
I would recommend this site to anyone. It has excellent facilities, Laundry, washing, small shop for milk etc. Friendly and good for travel links.

We arrived at after 8pm at Kingsbury with no booking and although they were full, as members of the c&cc they found us a space with no electric for our tent and could not have been more helpful.
The site is spotless, the showers, toilets and wash room are warm clean and cosy. There are flowers everywhere and proper paths to walk on. There is a tiny shop bit in reception but Tescos or Asda are only 5 mins drive up the road.

Living very near to Kingsbury Water Park makes this site very attractive for those impromptu last minute getaway weekends.
Unfortunately after many, many enjoyable weekends at this super site it was all ruined on our last visit by the new park warden, who urgently needs a customer service skills course.
Anyway, apart from this I would recommend this site to anyone. It is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and is well tended.
The toilets and shower blocks are second to none, what more can I say!
The pitches are flat, wide and well maintained. The hardstanding pitches are not the horrible gravel style ones, they have a plastic meshing instead hidden under the grass which is equally as good if not better in my opinion.
Electric hookups are available throughout the park apart from the tent field which has them around the perimeter. You can always get a very good television reception here as well.
If you need the use of your laptop whilst away the park now has WiFi access which is purchased via reception.
The park has plenty of fresh/grey water points all within short walking distances.
There is no real shop on site and only a few basic items are for sale, (papers, bread, milk etc etc) at the reception.
The children's park, of which my daughter always enjoys is good for both young children and children maybe under the ages of 10-12.
With the site being in Kingsbury Water Park there are also plenty of walks all over the park if you have a dog(s).
There are plenty of pubs in the local area that serve good food. The Dog and Doublet pub, which is only a 10 minute walk away can be reached via the canal towpath or by the road.
Road noise from the nearby M42 motorway has always been an issue, but if you have a busy day then sleeping becomes no problem and you don't really notice it.
Overall this is a great park and is well worth a visit.

Visited this site on the 6th and 7th June.
Booked in advance which is recommended, upon arrival I was given a family deal for two adults, two children and a dog. Electric hookup with awning costing £41.80. Good value I feel, but I know there are cheaper sites out there.
Kingsbury was our first site with our folding camper. The weather for the weekend was perfect (no rain) and made the weekend even more enjoyable.
The site is immaculate, toilet/shower blocks very clean. Picthes were very spacious and even though we were in a large field we never felt too close to other campers. The site shop is small but probably has everything you need. You need to pre-order a paper for the next morning.
We had a great walk on the Saturday afternoon around Kingsbury Water park which is accessible via some gates on the site.
Only problem with some of the pitches I guess would be that you may hear the road noise of the close motorway. I would say that there is probably enough going on during the day that you dont hear the noise, but at night you can hear it a little. This would not put me off going back there, as its a great site with some lovely walks. Plenty to do in the surrounding area.
Would I go back - Yes!

I visited this site with my daughter. Spent 3 nights. Lovely flat pitching sites. All staff helpful and polite. Very clean all round. Loved the fresh flowers in the shower blocks. Very nice walks round and about. Close to Drayton Manor Park and main shops. The noise from the motorway was'nt noticable after a while, did not interrupt with sleep at all. Will definitely use this site again soon. Would like to see recycling bins. (sorry if you already have them, but I did not notice any).

Truly beautiful
I visited this site with my wife and two young daughters, 9 & 5 and i'm so glad I did. The site is well maintained the shower blocks and toilets are immaculate, They have lovely shower's that are individual large cubilces with plenty of clothes hooks. The blocks also have private wash room cubicles with a wash basin and shaver sockets.
The shop is small and stocks only the bare minimum. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly.
I've read some comments about the fact that traffic can be heard from the nearby motorway which is true if you're situated over the far end of the site but it's only a minor background hum more than anything else.
The site wardens are quick to stop any ball games or general misbehaviour but they do this courtiously with little fuss.
There is a lovely small childrens park that is well maintained my daughters spent most of the day there and seemed to really enjoy themselves.
This is also the flatest site that i've frequented so is ideal for pitching a caravan or tent.
There are a few water stations dotted about the site that have the drinking water taps and waste water drains situated in the middle with the bins around the perimeter, once again these are well maintained and in immaculate condition.
What more can I say other than a very very nice site indeed. Thanks to all the lovely staff for being so friendly and helpful, Top team! It has to be a 9/10 for me.
