We stayed here to visit the NEC and found it to be a lovely site. There were no hardstandings available, so had to have a grass pitch following plenty of rain but were very pleasantly surprised that the ground was not at all muddy. Easy access to plenty of walks, cycle paths, play areas and the pub. One small criticism is there are only 2 exits (the main gate and a small pedestrian gate) and no designated dog walk, which meant we saw many owners exercise their dogs on site. Perhaps a couple more gates would encourage use of the extensive walkways surrounding the site.

Shower blocks were immaculate, but very cold, and although posed no problem during our 5 night stay, there were only 3 showers in each. Not sure how busy this would be in high season?

Our first stay at a 'Friendly Club' site, and found it less friendly than others we have visited - not rudeness or ignorance, just generally no chit chat.

We would visit again, particularly for any NEC events as ideally located. There was road noise, but a constant hum which we hardly noticed.

We have stayed here many times before as it is just 30 mins from where we live. It is a brilliant site - the children's playground is clean and well kept same for the showers we didn't have to queue either. The wardens on the site we excellent and directed us to our pitches straight away. We arrived a bit before they should have let us on to the site but there was no one on our pitch so the let us on.

Would have to recommend the pub, the dog and doublet, as it is quite a long walk away but on a hot day it is awesome to look at the lakes and the birds and go for a nice long cold beer afterwards. We went with my mum and dad and my husbands sister and their family we were lucky to get pitches in a circle with all the doors facing inwards but we couldn't have the windbreaks around because of health and safety.

All in all I think this is a truly wonderful site and we will be coming here in years to come.

We spent 3 nights at Kingsbury Water Park and had a fantastic time. The toilet/shower blocks were immaculate and could not fault them in anyway. The children's play area was great too and the kids loved playing there. Pretty much all the pitches had electrical hookup The staff were very helpful and pleasant. There was a lovely pub called the Dog and Doublet which was 20 minute walk along the tow path, which had a lovely beer garden and children's play area. We went with 3 families and the site were happy to put our units together so long as we stuck to the 6 metre rule which was for fire reasons. We were all initially booked into Marston Camping and Caravan park which was a mile down the road but the owners cancelled our bookings for reasons we are still awaiting. Kingsbury Water Park was a beautiful site and I would certainly recommend it, especially if visiting Drayton Manor which was only 5 minutes away. The only criticism would be the road noise from the M42 but anywhere would suffer the same problem in that area and that isn't the fault of the site. I would highly recommend and we will be going back again.

Have visited this site several times over last 4 years.

Very well-maintained, clean loos and showers, small children's play area, very flat site which makes it easier with small children.

Super children's farm 5 mins walk down road, lovely walk along canal to pub with children's play area outside.

Some noise from M42 but only seem to notice at night.

We will be visiting this site again as it is so pleasant and well-located. Only one downside. We always seem to come away feeling well and truly told off by wardens for some minor misdemeanour (despite being quiet and courteous campers).Eg. Not being pitched exactly 6m apart or (unintentionally) parking on the wrong side of the barrier. We do try our best not to make them disgruntled!

All in all def worth a visit. Try the children's train in the water park next to the children's play area!

This is an adequate site which is well situated for the water park itself (literally a few minutes' walk away).

There is a nice playground for the children to play on, but when we visited we found it being used mostly by older children for their ball games so was a bit intimidating for our small child. Ball games etc. Are banned around the pitches so I think that was why they tended to congregate round the play area.

The facilities were very good and there are two different blocks so there was plenty to go round even though the site was pretty busy. They were always clean.

The wardens were helpful, but not overly so and I didn't feel particularly welcomed as I have been at other sites.

When we visited it didn't feel like there was a friendly atmosphere like I've experienced elsewhere. Not sure why this was.

There was nothing wrong with the site at all and I would recommend it, but I just think that other sites we've been to have been nicer, so we probably won't be returning.

Very well laid out site with decent sized - open pitches. Situated in a quiet part of the Water Park, lots of walks round about.

Toilets immaculate and under floor heated.

Staff friendly and helpful, shown to pitch.

Major supermarkets within about 3 miles.

Very child friendly with a good playpark on one side of the site.

Grass pitches were a bit wet after heavy rain - but not muddy or damaged in any way.

Worth a look.

I stayed here with my 7 year old and a friend on her first camping trip with her 3 year old. The site was lovely, well laid out with well maintained grounds and pitches.

On arrival the staff in reception were extremely welcoming and helpful and made every effort to put our units together despite being busy. They helped us find a pitch and advised us on how to set up for maximum use of our space.

The toilet and shower blocks were excellent, clean and tidy at all times. The reception stocked a small supply of basics which possibly could be extended to offer more e.G. Fruit juices, bread, eggs etc. Morning papers could be ordered and wi fi was available.

Both boys (7 and 3) enjoyed the park and space to play ball games. There was plenty of flat space to play on their scooters.

The purpose of our camping trip was to visit Thomas at Drayton Manor and this was an easy 10 min drive away. The children's farm next door to the site was also worth a visit. The canal and water park also offered space for walks, cycling etc.

We ate at the Dog and Doublet which provided a welcome evening meal on our arrival (again just a pleasent walk from the site)and on leaving today we ate at The Granary cafe 2 mins walk from the site.

Judging by the leaflets in the reception there is lots in the area to do for all ages and we will definitely be visiting again soon.

We didn't notice any recycling points.

We visited this site for a weekend to try out our trailer tent. The site is really easy to get to and is on the same road as Drayton Manor, just a mile further down.

The check in staff were really friendly and even helped us pitch. The pitches are huge and we were on hardstanding which was actually grass with a plastic mesh underneath so I was impressed but you will need steel pegs for these pitches.

We were right opposite the toilet/shower block so we had endless numbers of kids riding past but there are definitely more peaceful spots on the site. There is a children's play area that looked in great condition. It was extremely quiet when all the kids went home Sunday afternoon.

The toilets were always clean and well stocked and the showers were fantastic! The washing up area had an abundance of hot water and the disposal areas were always kept clean. There is a small shop on site but if you head past Drayton Manor there is a huge retail park with all the essential shops needed.

At the bottom of the site is a private gate which leads directly onto Kingsbury water park. You can buy a little map of the park from the site shop but if you log onto the water park's website you can buy a comprehensive walking/cycling map.

If you walk around the big lake it leads you on to the canal and a left turn will take you to a lovely pub that sits on the canal but be mindful it is expensive but still very pretty to sit and have a drink.

I actually think if you love walking and cycling you could easily fill a week on this site as it was beautiful. You do hear the motorway but it's a hum you get used to.

This site has all the facilities you would expect being a Camping and Caravan Club site, immaculate toilet / shower blocks, well maintained grounds and plenty of room between pitches. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

We stayed on this site with a group from our local football clubs under 9's team (18 kids and 16 Adults) in various units (caravans and tents). I think the wardens were well prepared and pitched us all in the top corner of the camping field away from anyone else. The Staff were great and couldn't have been any more patient.

The purpose of the trip was to take the kids to Drayton Manor Park (5 mins drive away) and Aston Villa's training ground (even closer). This site was an ideal location for both and had the added bonus of the Kingsbury Water Park right next to it which had great outdoor facilities to keep the kids happy.

We didn't have chance to take a walk down the canal to a local pub, as other reviewers have recommended, but will definitely be doing this next time we visit.

This is a very pleasant site with plenty of walks in the adjacent water park and Drayton Manor close by. Personally though, as tent campers, we found the motorway very noisy at night and didn't sleep well at all! Would recommend you take ear plugs if you're not accustomed to sleeping with background traffic sounds! That said, the facilities were of the usual CCC high standard and the children seemed to be enjoying the play area.
