We have been visiting this site about five years now and don't really have a bad word to say about it. We visit about 5 times a year. This year we retire in August this year thankfully and will be there for two weeks. Nice clean site helpful staff. Would not hesitate to recommend it

We were looking for somewhere to stay for when we visited Drayton Manor & Thomas Land. (5 mins down the road). 4 kids. 2yrs, 4yrs, and 2x14yrs. Immaculately clean, the friendliest staff you could wish to meet. Parents & children’s shower room. Very peaceful. Yes you can hear the motorway, but it is only a distant hum. The beauty of websites like this, is that you can see who has been there and gauge opinion. If you are looking to stay in this area, you will not find anywhere better that this.

This has to be the best site that we have stayed on so far. Everywhere including the toilet blocks etc were spotlessly clean. Couldn't be better located for kingsbury water park and to be able to stroll along the canal towpath was the icing on the cake for us. The pub, the dog and doublet was only a 5 minute walk with a great children's play area and seating along the towpath, so you could have a drink or 2 whilst watching the narrow boats sail by. To top it all off we had fantastic weather. We stayed in a motorhome but friends of ours borrowed a tent and came with us. They are now hooked on camping, probably due to the fantastic caravan and camping club site. None of us wanted to come home. 3 nights is definitely not long enough. We'll be back.

Our first ever camping trip, super site. Great location for visiting Birmingham, Cadbury world and star city (cinema + restaurants), Friendly staff, nice and clean toilets, motorway hum (which you get use to) A perfect site for our first trip. Barrier is closed 11 p.M. Until 7 a.M.

We stayed here so that we could visit Thomas Land at Drayton Manor. (only 5 minutes drive away) As my husband is camping phobic, I was very apprehensive about how our trip would pan out. All my fears proved to be unfounded however. The people who work/run this site are lovely - they couldn't do enough for us. The site was lovely and flat, stone free, and very well maintained and welcoming. The setting is gorgeous - there are some lovely walks along the canal (to the Dog & Doublet, which serves lovely food) and along the tracks leading off site. My 2 year old daughter and 4 year old son loved exploring and enjoyed the children's' play area and we felt secure enough on the site to let my son play on there by himself as he was always in sight from our tent. The toilets, showers and washing up room here are immaculate and lovely and warm. (top tip though is to run the shower once before you get in as the first one is cold!) I can honestly say we had the best time here and I would highly recommend it. Yes, you can hear the motorway, but as others have stated it's a constant hum, not like the cars are tearing through your tent and it didn't bother us at all - I doubt you'd hear it if you were in a van.

We have just returned from a 3 night break here, which we enjoyed. We were given a warm welcome on arrival and were able to choose which pitch we wanted, we picked one right by the play area which was fantastic. It was in a safe place at the back of the site. We felt comfortable letting our children (8 and 4) play on their own while we watched from the caravan.
The campsite was very well laid out and very clean, (apart from the children who left their sweet wrappers on the floor).
The toilet and shower blocks were also very clean, with plenty of hot water.
There was lots of information available on what was around to visit in the local area.
I went into the site shop with my daughter who was offered a lollipop by the lady working in there, everybody who we met that worked at the site was so friendly.
There is a chip shop in Kingsbury village which was delicious and the water park next door is great for bike riding or walking to work off the chips eaten the night before!
All in all a great campsite run by very friendly people.

Visited the site on 18th for 3 nights. Lovely site, very clean and has a family shower room available which for us with our 3 year old was brill. Park was pretty much empty so plenty of space for our large tent. Staff helpful and friendly.
We stayed here to go and visit thomas land which is only 5 mins away at drayton manor - Brilliant Fun - a must for all thomas fans ! :o)
We were at the side nearest the motorway unfortunately and although it didn't cause us too much distraction it is very noticeable.
The one thing I found more annoying than the road was the constant helicopter flyby's that we encountered. I think there is a field nearby where you can book a helicopter tour of the area, which seems to fly over the site. This was slightly irritating.
Good site though and would probably visit again.

We have visited this site several times over the last few years and are happy to keep returning.
On the plus side:
Lovely warm, clean shower blocks (centrally situated so you're never too far away)
Level site
Great place for the children (11,10 and 6) to cycle around, and lots of cycle paths to explore through the adjacent Water Park
Helpful, friendly staff
We went tobogganing at the nearby Tamworth Snowdome - good fun
On the minus side:
The ground soon gets wet if there's much rain (we had one wet day over Easter and there were quite a few puddles on the grass); the site have cancelled our booking in the past due to flooding
It was busy at Easter and, despite having paid to have a second car on site, there was simply not enough room in the site car park - we had to pay a further £2.50 to go through the barrier into the nearby Water Park car park. Not a major problem but a bit annoying.

We often use this site as its close to home, although it feels like your miles away. We spent an absolutely lovely weekend here, wardens could not do enough for us. We arrived by car and waited for my husband to come in the motorhome, because of problems at work, he may have been delayed. The wardens were so helpful.
Excellent site. The site was full being a bank holiday, but toilets and showers were fine. Lots of space between units too.
Only downside all the children on their bikes, they ride everywhere and at break neck speeds, our grand daughter who is 5yrs almost got knocked over as she stepped out of our motorhome door. The speed for cars around the site is minimal, but the speed these bikes go, is not good. They ride over the main cables and squeeze past the cars, an accident waiting to happen there?

Stayed with touring caravan for the week leading up to the Easter weekend. Expected it to be busy but the site was only about 1/2 capacity. Started filling up towards the end of our week though so expect it was a different story over the Easter weekend itself.
Huge level pitches. Really easy to set up on. The whole site was immaculately clean. One of the 3 showers in the ladies block that I used was out of order on our second day but within 2 days was working again. That's a good sign I think!
Other reviewers mentioned that you have to pay an entry fee at the barrier on your first day - you don't. Perhaps they entered via the Water Park rather than direct into the C&CC site somehow? Or perhaps it's just changed since they visited.
Reception stocks a few basic essentials (papers have to be ordered the day before) but is only open for 2 hours a day (9 - 10am and 4 - 5pm)so if you want to buy anything or pay for Wi-fi access you need to do it within those times. Although the sign does say they will open up for emergencies and gas cylinders. There are 2 huge Asda/Walmart hypermarkets a reasonable close drive from the site - Minworth and Tamworth.
Site is within a few miles of Drayton Manor Theme Park & Tamworth Snowdome both of which our kids enjoyed. About half an hour from Black Country Living Museum which was a great day out for all of us.
On the downside - our kids were told off in no uncertain terms for wearing heelys. Not sure why - the park was half empty and they were only wearing them en route to use the loo etc. - they weren't rushing around all over the place in them at all. Other children racing around their on bikes without looking where they were going were far more likely to cause/be in an accident.
Also, we arrived at 11.30am - 30mins before the pitch start time. We were allowed to book in but not to go into the site until 12 o'clock on the dot - along with 3 other vans that arrived early between us and the allotted time. As this more than filled the small 'waiting space' it meant that some of the people already on site couldn't leave it until we had been allowed onto the site as the 3 vans blocked the narrow exit road.
However on the morning we left we witnessed 3 if not 4 vans arriving and being shown to their pitches before 10 am. ????? A bit inconsistent don't you think? Or perhaps they just didn't like the look of us from the outset!
