This is an immaculate site and we will visit again.
The toilets and showers were kept extremely clean and tidy at all times.
Booking onto the site was carried out in an efficient manner.
The surrounding areas are beautiful and the local working farm is well worth a visit, we popped in for a quick look and stayed for 3 hours.
The site staff need to remember that we are paying their wages as they appeared to be not very happy at times.
The local pub (Dog and Doublet) is well worth a visit, good selection of real ales.
Even after a few days of rain the site was well drained when we arrived, there is a small amount of noise from the nearby M42 but you get used to it.

We had a basic pitch for a large tent, with no electric hook up.
The pitch was good, and even though there was heavy rain after we had pitched, our area drained well - other pitches were a little wet, but they drained after a few hours.
Check in was efficient, and the wardens quick to stop football etc., nothing heavy handed, but it kept the site quiet and not too rowdy.
Toilets and showers were excellent, with no negatives.
We camped with 2 small children and the site is excellent for families. Highly recommended with few bad points.

I stayed here with my boyfriend and my sister over a weekend. The staff treated us very differently than some of the other campers and they seemed to have a problem wth our ages.
We make camping our serious hobby and should not really be tarred with the same brush as some of the yobs you see around just because we are younger than other clientel.
All in all though, the site was immaculate, loved the toilet block, very spacious and the individual sinks with lights on the mirrors that are enclosed for privacy are a great idea you don't see at many places.
I really liked the style and layout of the site, very close to plenty of walks in Kingsbury Park.
I agree with other reviews though that you can hear a little traffic, but you do seem to get used to it throughout the day. More of a hum than anything else.
There is a small shop in reception that does ice creams and some essentials but if you are planning to eat by your tent you will definitely need to stop at a supermarket beforehand.
Would recommend but as I say, seems mostly geared up to accept family groups and not so much young couples.

Tend to agree with much of the report by Cufcbarside on October 2007. It is a very nice site, but the warden was a little abrupt and needs to be aware that we are the paying customers and a more flexible and friendly approach would make people's stay that much more pleasant. Not that helpful in siting a small group of friends together in spite of the promises when we booked. The deputy wardens were very helpful.
The site itself is lovely, but there was motorway noise. Toilet blocks and grounds were well looked after and a nice childrens play area. Being a Caravan and Camping Club Site, no shop on site. Quite strict about departure time (althought the site almost emptied at the end of the Mayday Bank Holiday weekend), but short extensions given.

What a lovely site! We will definitely be returning.
There were 2 toilet and shower blocks with 4 male and 4 female showers in each along with toilets and private cubicles. The individual shower cubicles were spacious, the largest I have come across on a camp-site so far with plenty of room for an adult and a child to shower / dress together. The blocks were spotlessly clean and had underfloor heating. There are also 5 washing up sinks in each block and the central block has laundry facilities and information boards.
There was a good play area with 2 toddler swings and 2 swings for older kids separated by a climbing frame/rope bridge/slide.
The reception stocks a few food items but there is a co-op in Kingsbury and in nearby Tamworth there is Sainsburys and a 24-hour Asda.
We had a meal at the Dog and Doublet. Nice 10 minute walk along either the canal or the road to get there. Quality food, generous portions and reasonable prices. Children are allowed in until 8pm. You get a 10% discount if you show your C&CC membership card.
5 minutes drive away is Drayton Manor, a theme park with great whiteknuckle rides, family rides, a small zoo and a new younger children's area based on Thomas the Tank Engine. Well worth a visit. (Save your Tesco clubcard coupons and buy tickets before you go)
Other places we will try and visit when we next stay here include Twycross Zoo, the Snowdome in Tamworth and the waterpark itself.
If you have forgotten any essentials, Tamworth Camping is only 10 minutes drive away and a little further away there is a Yeoman's unit at Dobie's Garden Centre in Atherstone.
There is some noise from the motorway but as others have said, it is a constant hum and you just don't notice it after a short time so please don't that put you off coming to this lovely site.

Hi Team as usual the not so good bits.
The noise from the motorway can give sleepless nights
The noise from the gulley sucker on saturday morning.
We must have caught some people in a wrong frame of mind as we thought that some of site teams approach needed a little more care for their paying customers.
Access to and from the site entrance to the main road could be difficult with two big caravans meeting head on.
On our time there on site there was a lot of movement with caravans coming and going, seemed more than other sites we have been on.
The good bits
The toilets are without a doubt well maintained.
The pitchs are fine and well layed out.
The location is excellent for the waterpark.
The disabled toilets are class setting.
The showers are large and although push button lasted sufficently for a good shower and the heated floor in the shower cubicle is certainly a great idea and without a doubt works.
Overall not bad. In school terms a C+

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here despite the awful weather we had while we were there. The site was lovely, well maintained, clean and tidy. The wardens were lovely and very helpful on arrival. The ablutions were immaculate and the underfloor heating in the showers was great. There was a nice outdoor play area for smaller children, on site, with swings etc. The walks around the Water Park itself were great. Great meals served at the Dog & Doublet, which is in walking distance of the site. The shop on site sold basic provisions e.g. Bread, eggs, milk, sweets etc and there was an Asda Superstore, which was open 24 hours, probably about a 15 minute drive away. Would definitely visit again.

We stayed here for a night to try out our van and were quite impressed. It was busy yet didn't feel crowded, maybe because we didn't require ehu. The facilities were spotless and the site itself had plenty to do with lots of walks in the area and the farm close by. The area was unfortunately affected by the recent flooding though and much of the water park was inaccessible although the site itself was fine. The only downside was the constant hum of traffic from the motorway but not enough to keep us awake!

This was our 1st time camping for a long time, and despite the rain, on the strength of this place we joined the c&c club and are now hooked!
Site was very well managed, toilets/shower kept very clean, staff were lovely. A lot to do in the area (kids farm next door, Twycross Zoo about 20 minutes away, Drayton Manor 5 mins, the Water Park next door!).
Downsides? Well, it is close to the motorway so you do hear traffic noise, but other than that nothing springs to mind!

Just returned from a weekend at Kingsbury, our first camping trip ever! We found the site very clean and well laid out. The staff were very friendly. The shower and toilet facilities were spotless with push buttons for the showers which gave about 1 minute of water per push. They were always of a good temperature and queuing was never a problem even though the site was full. There was a hairdryer which cost 20p a time, I used it for over 5 mins and it was still running so I don't know if was time limited. The sinks for dishwashing were large and clean with plenty of hot water. There is a facility for freezing ice packs they charge £1 deposit per block and 40p for freezing. The main problem with this is it is only open between 9 & 10am and 3-4pm. If you forget the Tesco store in Fazeley nearby has some ice cube bags. The playground was most appreciated by my 2 children (4 & 7) although the youngest was hit by one of the many bicycles that are ridden around, it was another young child and fortunately apart from a bloody nose my daughter was ok. There is noise from the main road but it is a continuous hum so didn't really bother us. The only slight problem was when a rather noisy family arrived, dropping rubbish everywhere, playing loud music and tried to light an open fire, the Manager, who cycled around regularly, sorted it out. This was a good site in a lovely location and was a good introduction for us to camping. I cant wait till our next trip though I hope we manage to pitch the tent a little quicker than 4 hrs next time!
