Just returned from a break at this site, this was our third visit but unfortunately we wont be returning, it could be a very nice place to stay but we have noticed the staff seem less friendly with each visit. Regardless of experience you will be told how to reverse your caravan. I have been driving lorries for 36 years but was still told I should have done it their way. I did say on the last visit I didn't need help but while reversing all I could hear from the warden who insisted on standing by my window was 'left hand down, right hand down' I would have ended up on top of the next caravan had I listened to him. I later saw a warden throw his hands in the air when a visitor asked if he could take his car onto the site. It was very busy, and maybe they don't handle the stress very well, but it did make things slightly uncomfortable at times.

Spent two nights at the end of half term week at this lovely site. It was full due to school holiday and good weather. Despite this the facilities were clean and well maintained. The pitches were well looked after and the wardens were mowing every day to keep things tidy. There is a nice kids play area which was well used. The site has three main areas and we used the quiet hard standings away from the play area. Everything was quiet by 10:30 pm. The wardens were all helpful and friendly. The reception had a few basic items for sale and ice creams etc. A short walk along the canal bank takes you to the Dog and Doublet pub. Food looked good although we only had a drink. The water park itself offers lots of activities and paths for walking or cycling. There is no dog walk on site but direct access to the footpath system.
This was our second visit to Kingsbury and I'm sure we will return.

The usual efficient and friendly checking in experience that comes with ccc sites. We were shown a selection of pitches to choose from, although all level most had the odd dip but the grass was well maintained, as we found out during our stay the guy on mower likes to make sure he does not miss any blades of grass. Toilet/showers excellent, very clean with loads of room in cubicle along with hooks and a seat, powerful hot showers and one block also has underfloor heating which is nice touch. This site is positioned within the Kingsbury water park which is perfect for walking and if, like us you have a dog which loves water and does not bother local wildlife, it is brilliant. The wife got the bus from Kingsbury village [20 mins walk] to Tamworth [8miles] which has good selection of shops and markets [Tue/Sat]. Will most definitely be returning soon hopefully with better weather so we can take picnics in the park etc.

This is a site which I would thoroughly recommend. The pitches are large, flat and well spaced out. We had a hard standing pitch and the surface is very fine gravel. There are also grass pitches.
The wardens keep the site very tidy and the grounds are pleasantly landscaped. The wardens seem friendly enough but unobtrusive.
There are 2 wash blocks. Both have washing up facilities. One has a family room. The block near the reception has under floor heating. Both blocks have hairdryers for 20p which gave time for me to dry both my hair and that of my daughter.
There is a small shop and newspapers can be ordered.
Sainsburys and Asda are on the retail park just outside Tamworth. There are a selection of take away in Fazeley.
We visited Tamworth castle, the Snow dome, the National space centre and Birmingham city centre from the site. Trains from Tamworth into Birmingham seem to be regular.
Kingsbury water park itself is very good for walks and cycling. The play area there is very good, as is the one on the site.
Although there is road noise this did not disturb our stay.

This was our second visit in two weeks to this campsite.
The first time we visited we wanted somewhere close to home to get away for two days. We only live 10 mile from the site but to our loss we had never chosen to stay before.
This is one of the best sites we have visited. Pitches are a good size and well laid out. Toilet facilities were warm and always spotless. There is a small playground.
The walk into The water park and Kingsbury village are both very pleasant. There is a co op, newsagent and a chinese takeaway in the village.
We will definitely be back again and again.

Spent three nights here at the beginning of september.
Shown to a pitch by the welcoming reception staff. Pitch was spacious and next to a gate leading onto a country lane, so suitable for us with our two dogs.
There was a lot of space as not busy. Water point and waste disposal was close at hand. Showers toilets and dishwashing also close. Facilities kept very clean and neat and never any queues. Toilets and showers closed for cleaning each day around 11-12.
Grass was a bit long. There'd obviously been a lot of rain prior to our visit. Ground nice and soft but the long grass meant it was damp.
Fairly quiet. The M42 is nearby and noisy so used earplugs.
Lots of insects owing to the sites location amidst water lakes and vegetation. Never had so many spiders and daddy long legs in the tent as well as slugs crawling up the side of the tent.
Walks are plentiful. But bring insect repellant.
In all a well organised facility convenient for the Birmingham and Tamworth and Sutton Coldfield area. Will visit again but probably in spring when there are fewer bugs.

We booked a 3 night stay at this lovely site over the August bank holiday.
From arriving on site we were met by the lovely staff who were as helpful from our first question until our last.
The pitches were very generous & I am so glad we were on pitch 94 as we did not end up with any units in front of us unlike the next section down where there were tents/caravans 3 deep.
The shower blocks were very clean & I showered at different times of the day/night & each time I had hot water.
The toilet blocks are kept very clean.
There is a small park for the children and you are not far from the big park Kingsbury.
We had a Chinese takeaway from in Kingsbury village which we later found out delivered to the site. Very nice meal at a reasonable price.
We had an Indian takeaway from Koudos which is about a 4 mile drive but so worth the travelling for the lovely food.
On the Saturday we took our 3 grandsons to Drayton Manor park. Book tickets on line before going it worked out at nearly half the price than if we had brought them on the gate.
We will definitely be returning to this lovely site.

A very well laid out level site, good clean amenities with ample washing up facilities if you are camping. Child friendly with large play area. Ideal location with Kingsbury Water Park just down the road, also the Dog and Doublet pub is within walking distance serving a wide range of food. Site ideally situated for visiting Drayton Manor (Thomas Land), the NEC, and the ancient town of Tamworth.

Easily located just off the A42.
Arrive and shown to our pitch by a very friendly warden. The whole site is meticulously maintained and cleaned. The shower/toilet block is spotless and has a laundry room with iron etc.
Childrens play area and loads of fishing lakes and walks to entertain all ages. We had some quite heavy rain whilst we were there and the pitch coped remarkably well and drained quite quickly. There is a shop on site which sells the basics.
Overall a great site which we will be returning to.

The warden was very friendly when we arrived and showed us several pitches and let us choose the one we wanted.
The two toilet blocks are new and really clean with lots of space in the showers.
The weather has varied a lot but the site has coped with the torrential rain and the ground has drained quickly with not problems.
The location is brilliant with the Village a mile away and a friendly pub even closer.
There are lots of walks in the park or along the canal.
Overall it is a great site and we will be back.
