Just returned from 2 nights on this site, which we used as a base for a visit to Chessington World of Adventures, which was very good by the way.
This site is very expensive at about £80 for 2 nights and obviously charges this due to it's proximity to London. It is clean and tidy. The shower block is modern, clean and well planned out for families. The washing up areas were also clean and spacious.
The play area for children was very small, with only a few swings and ball games are not permitted, which frustrated the kids. The pitches are small and very close together, but I guess they are trying to maximise revenue.
The staff were helpful and friendly. One surprise was the constant loud road noise from the M3, which is very close by. This was only drowned out by the low flying jumbo jets which passed over head every few minutes.
The charges for wifi are a rip off at £5 per hour, but this is now the norm' for camping and caravan club sites. One of the reasons for not renewing our membership.
If you do want wifi, head for The Bridge pub/hotel next door where it is free and the river view is quite nice. The Kingfisher on the opposite side of the bridge, serves very nice food. There is also a petrol station with a Spar shop opposite the site entrance, which is handy for essentials.
In summary, good for a base, but not a peaceful place to stay and not great value. Would try somewhere else next time.

This site has really helpful staff, beautiful, very clean, shower blocks ( x 2 ) and is very easy to reach from the motorway. It's close to all shops etc. ( the Spar shop almost opposite the site entrance is open all night ) but manages to feel like a countryside bolt hole.
It is only 7 miles, 20 minutes from the New Victoria Theatre in Woking. I would definitely stay here again.

A fantastic site which is very easily accessible from Junction 11 of the M25.
The site is very well run by extremely helpful staff who go out of their way to ensure that one has a 'good' pitch that is suitable to the camper / caravanner.
The staff are both very helpful and knowledgeable about all things camping and caravanning.
The site is mainly level and split into a number of different areas so as to give an impression of privacy.
The downside is that the site is prone to flooding.
Excellent television, radio and mobile telephone communications as well as the Camping and Caravan Club WiFi system.
The toilets and showers are large and very clean. However, as with a growing number of Camping and Caravan clubs sites, the water temperature is regulated for you.
My only complaint is that the Site Office could be open longer.

Have just returned from a lovely weekend at Chertsey. Site is very clean, tidy and very well maintained. It is accessible by a barrier system which meant that you could not leave or enter the sight between 11pm and 7am.
There is a main shower block which was accessible from the majority of the site, and a further block near the reception. Both were very clean and well maintained and the showers were hot. The wardens were very friendly and the pitches are well laid out, with most being under the shade of trees.
The site is very close to the River Thames and feels very rural. You can hear the sound of the river, and there were lots of geese and ducks around. It has an adequate play area for children and offers a tv room available from 10.30am until 10.30pm.
There is a shop on site and they also have a takeaway service, although we did not use this so cannot comment. Having said this there were plenty of local pubs and takeaways within a short drive as the site is close to the main town which has various shops and restaurants.
This is a great site if you are looking for a stop over to Thorpe park as it is close by. Thoroughly recommend the site and would definitely visit again.

Just come back from a four night stay at this lovely site. It was quiet and peaceful. We were sited near the Thames under the trees and we could hear the weir nearby which was to us a lovely sound. We couldn't hear any traffic from the busy road outside or from the M3.
The main toilet block was superb - extremely clean and maintained. The showers were lovely and hot with a very good spray. Even the smaller block of toilets near the Reception were extremely clean but we didn't use these ones as the main block was nearer to us.
The Reception did stock a couple of groceries including milk but there is a garage opposite the site where there is a cash dispenser and also the garage sold newspapers and groceries. In the town of Chertsey is Sainsbury's should you want other items.
The wardens on the site were very pleasant and showed us onto our pitch.
We would definitely come back again and our little girl enjoyed the campsite (especially the visiting rabbits, squirrels and ducks!).

What a fantastic site. Just returned from 4 nights at end may beginning June. Had a fantastic pitch opposite the playground- ideal for our 5 yr old. Lovely spacious site.
Fantastic showers, shop, and facilities, and great tv reception. Very handy garage / shop a minute down the entrance drive.
Get the train into London from weybridge where parking at weekends / bank hols is free! Train bout 40mins from here as an hour and twenty from Chertsey. Buy a ticket to include tube use- lots cheaper! So much to do to list but can recommend tower of London, transport museum, and Oliver starring Griff Rhys Jones- a fantastic holiday had by all.
Can't recommend enough!

Stayed here the weekend of 22/5, lovely weather. There are certain rules, and they do seem OTT, but in fairness the site is superb, clean, tidy and quiet, beautiful.
We used it as a base to visit London on the Sunday. The train service is a bit long winded from Chertsey, but apparently you can get faster trains from a different station a bit further away.
As Chertsey station is walkable from the site (about 20-25 mins)we stuck to that one. The slow train takes about 1hr 15mins.
We would highly recommend this site, fantastic.

Great site. Wooded and a lovely homely feel to this quite large site. Staff all great and facilities were all spotless. Lots of wildlife to see including resident ducks and foxes to screeching parakeets.
You'll get used to the aeroplanes (close to Gatwick) and there are great views of the Thames with plenty of room between pitches. The site runs true to the traditions of the 'Club' being the first ever CCC site that was purchased by them. A real garden of Eden in the suburbs.
Bathing a toddler was again difficult and a VERY WET shower had to do.

We stayed on this campsite for one night over the weekend. The site’s based just inside the M25 and situated on a wooded campsite on the banks of the River Thames. It’s perfect for seeing local amenities and getting into London. You’re sort of in the country but perfectly situated for the City.
The staff are very friendly and we received a warm welcome on arrival. The site’s very well run and maintained. The toilet facilities are spotless and the showers obviously designed by people who use them while trying to wash small children ie. a bench, plenty of hooks to hang clothes on and a holder in the shower to put shampoo etc.
There’s no entertainment on the site, although they do have a room with table tennis and TV but if you walk outside the site there are two pubs very close by one either side of the Bridge. If you cross over the bridge there’s also a field with cows and a nice pathway for walks. It’s all really lovely.
There’s also a very small shop on the site and no restaurant or takeaway. My two girls enjoyed playing in the playground and the whole place had a good safe feel to it.
The downsides? There were no real downsides except that you cannot book in advance for one night so if you want to stay for one night you have to phone up on the morning to see if there's a place.
The site isn’t in the heart of the country (if that is what you want) but you still wake up to grass and trees and the sound of birds and the river so just manage those expectations. It was also £25 for two adults and 2 children and that’s with a discount as I’m a member of the caravanning club.
I had a really nice time and I’ll be back.

We spent a good 4 days over Easter at this site. It is a quiet very well laid out site set right next to the River Thames catering for all types camping and caravanning needs
The staff are very welcoming and could not be more helpful. Although we spent all easter on site there is plenty in the surrounding area to entertain all ages, you just need to take a look in the extensive information room
The toilet/wash facilities were very clean and always warm, plus the waste and clean water areas are very well marked and are conveniently placed around the site. There is also a dog walk and a veranda with BBQ points around it right next to the river giving great views of the river and Chertsey bridge, not to mention a varied array of wildlife.
