This site is set in lovely grounds alongside the River Thames. The friendly site staff are always helpful and full of information on places to visit.
Thorpe Park is 10 minutes away from the site and Chessington World of Adventure and Legoland are around 30 minutes away. You can catch the train from Chertsey village into London for a full day out.
There are often leaflets in the site office offering discounts and 2 for 1's on many attractions.
This is a perfect site for families and we have always had a wonderful time staying at this site, so I would definitely recommend staying here.

Nice site. Facilities are clean as you would expect from the camping and caravan club.
We stayed here on route to London to visit Windsor although it isn't as easy as we thought to get into Windsor. You have walk into Chertsey ( 15mins) get the bus into Staines and from there get the bus into Windsor ( the bus timetables are not very clear!)

The Campsite is very nice, the facilities are good and clean. There is road noise it if bothers you? There are no pubs in walking distance, more like two Restaurants you would need to dress for. We visited Brooklands Museum Fantastic and Virginia Water.

Great site run by great people - nothing is too much trouble and everything is spotlessly clean. The only small negative is that you are unlikely to enjoy complete peace and quiet with the M3 not far away and water rushing over the weir if pitched near the river. However with Windsor Castle, Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, Lego Land, Brooklands museum etc nearby and access to wonderful riverside walks you are unlikely to be sitting around doing nothing.

We have stayed at Chertsey Caravan & Camping Site for 28 Days, which has been lovely, very peaceful, the staff are amazing-kind and very helpful, we cannot speak highly enough of them all, the toilet and shower facilities are kept to a very high standard, as are the grounds.
We are house at the moment, so we have booked another 28 days in a weeks time, as this is the best site around.

We have just spent 4 nights here and couldn’t fault it. Friendly staff and well maintained site. Easy to find. Excellent showers. Nice grounds. The location was better than I expected. It is in a very attractive area by the Thames surrounded by other pretty villages. We went into London one day (Book of Mormon is hilarious by the way) and my partner was panicking about getting the train connection back so he decided that we would drive to Hatton Cross tube station which was around 7 miles away next to Heathrow airport (which made for amazing viewing of the low flying aircraft!) We parked there easily for £11 and then took the 44 minute tube ride straight to Picadilly (where most of the theatres are). We like to cycle off road and on the flat and the Chertsey area was great for that. We wanted to cycle along the Thames but you can only cycle part of the Thames path. When I googled it said you could join the cyclepath at Shepperton and cycle all the way to Toddington Lock but I couldn’t find where you joined it there so we went on to Walton On Thames which was only about 3 miles. There you join it at a huge new bridge. It was a lovely cycle ride and very easy. We cycled past Hampton Court and as far as Hampton Wick. It started to rain hard so we turned back then. We wanted to cycle the other way toward Staines but again it rained too much! We went to the Boathouse twice for a meal which was quite good value (20% discount) and in a nice location overlooking the Thames. We went for a drink to the Kingfisher. That is also overlooking Thames but you don’t have as good view as at the Boathouse. We walked into Chertsey – a 20 minute stroll –and went to a pub (where the drinks are much cheaper!) and went for a good meal at Bengali Dynasty.

Well we got back on Sunday` the weather was not great but we still
Enjoyed it, you can`t fault the site all the facility's are kept spotless at all time there is quite a big wet room for
The disabled camper`s all the pitches are a good size and you are never far away from the river Thames as the site back on to it,
It is very dog friendly BUT they must be kept on a lead at all times for their safety as cars are in and out. There are facility`s for motor home to empty there waste tanks and fill fresh water tank. You may get a visit in the morning from a pigeon he came to our awning each morning just in time for breakfast. We don`t know how he knew it was that time, what else could we do but give him some breakfast. Our two Little Bichons fries', Bettie and Hollie, watched the squirrel's from a distance as they weren't quite sure what they were. It can be a bit noisy first of all when planes go over the site, we didn`t really here them after a while. They call the camping and caravanning club the Friendly, that because it is a friendly club. There is always willing to help you. We will be returning there next year.

If you're looking for a site near London and some of the attractions such as Windsor and Thorpe Park then simple look no further this is a superb site.
Its a large site that caters for tents, caravans and motorhomes with pitches to fit all. We were on a super pitch and it was big enough for the van, awning and car with room to spare.
The welcome was first class and was given a choice of pitches then shown to it and asked if we wanted hand setting up etc. Despite it being a big site that was full you never once felt it was crowded and was extremely peaceful. Even the noise of Heathrow wasn't constant but if you go there with knowledge you are the flight path then its expected.
The facilities were spotless at all times with piping hot water all through the day and into the night.
Small shop on site and little chip van by reception with a Spar shop opposite the site and 2 great pubs within 5 minutes walk, great to sit on the river with pint in hand.
You have Thorpe Park, Brooklands Museum, Windsor, Legoland and the Memorials at Runnymede anywhere from 5-25 minutes drive away.
Trains from Weybridge (15 min drive) into London run every 30 minutes and then you are straight into Waterloo.
In fact I can't find a fault with this site and would recommend it 100% and will without doubt being using it again.

Site is not far from jct11 of the M25. On arrival was met by friendly wardens, I had selected a fully serviced pitch and the warden directed me to a few which I was able to choose from.
Shop's wise there is a BP across the road for the basics but a walk/drive into Chertsey you have the local Sainsburys.
This site is an ideal base for Legoland, Thorpe Park and the London itself. We went into London on the Sunday, I got driving directions from the warden to Weybridge station, parked in the car park (free on Sunday) and got the train into Waterloo. You can also go from Chertsey station but I believe you have to change at Weybridge anyway.
Showers, toilets etc very clean and well maintained, only gripe was that the soap for hand washing was only available at one small sink.
I must say that I was surprised that for such a big site they only have one area with bins, which is located by the exit. I think even having some at the toilet block would be better.

We visited this campsite two weeks ago and were quite pleased.
We originally wanted to go a bit further out of London but due to something we couldn’t cancel we decided to go a bit closer to London so I could travel in on Saturday morning. The site is ideal for that really since it’s very close to (South West London). Also close to shop (at petrol station) and some nice restaurants/pubs.
The site is occupied predominantly by caravans however there were 2 or 3 tents dotted about. The pitch we chose had extremely hard ground so it took some effort to get our tent pegged in. I would definitely would advise taking some screw or screw type rock pegs if you have a tent. We camped under a large tree (because of the rain) so that may also have been the reason.
Other than that, yes, there is fairly constant noise from the roads but I dare say that’s more than bearable. Also some air traffic noise due to the fact that it’s quite close to Heathrow. On our second night one of the houseboats docked close by on the river and started his (rather noisy) generator which went on till past 22:00. Slightly irritating but you can’t really fault the campsite for that.
The toilet and shower facilities were also spacious and clean. It would be good if the temperature of the showers could be adjusted since it was much too hot for the kids. Also, a soap dispenser in by the toilets would be useful.
Other than that the staff were also very friendly & helpful when we arrived. It’s very peaceful and there were not disturbances from other campers – since I believe there was a quietness curfew between 23:00 and 07:00. Nice playground for the kids also. Considering we travelled less than 15 miles to get there from home in London it certainly felt like we were on a holiday much further away in the countryside somewhere. We’ll definitely return if we need to be close to London.
