October 2004 Pleasant site in nice setting - good location for visiting London and Thorpe Park. However site staff were particularly unhelpful when we arrived late we got a frosty welcome despite making it clear when we booked - we also had been booked on for too few nights and despite there being free pitches the staff were unnecesarily difficult about allocating us another pitch for the extra night - we were also told off for using the wrong water tap to fill up with despite being told to use that one!! If visiting London it is easier to go to Weybridge and get the train from there - although the car parks may not be accesable for larger motorhomes - if with a family it is cheaper to get a return to Surbiton and then get off and get a travelcard for rest of London ( if going in two days buy your second day before you leave london and then you won't have to get off ) saves 10quid!!
Shower block was ok if you like push button showers that cannot be adjusted - i found them too hot! and would consider them far too hot for small children. There was also a limit on travel in and out of sit from 11pm to 7am which may be good for some but not if your in a motorhome and want an evening out.

June 2004 What great clean site. The showers and toilets where very clean and well heated. Loads of hot water. The shower cubical were real big so easy to dry yourself. Short trip to “Lego Land”, so great for our 5 year old. A really warm welcome and great fun.

July 2003 High standard site with gated access to cars. Very pleasant C&CC staff. Good facilities, small playpark, close to a child friendly pub and a chinese take away just down the road (yum). River accessible through couple of site gates, careful with children. River view from your pitch if you arrange it. Would visit again for access to London via Weybridge station and Thorpe/Chessington theme parks.

April 2003 SUMMARY. A very pleasant site right beside the Thames by Chertsey bridge, just inside the M25 not far from Heathrow airport and Windsor Castle. REVIEW. I haven’t actually stayed at this site. I stayed at the Laleham Park site which is less than a mile away on the Thames, and while I was out for a walk checked this site April 2003. It is quite a bit more expensive than the Laleham site especially if you are not a Camping Club member as you have to pay an extra fee of £4.60 per day which would bring a daily charge to £18.50 (not including hook up) for a family of 4 instead of Laleham Park’s daily fee of £12. That aside, the campsite looked very tranquil and pleasant with trees dotted around a fairly flat site with the amenity block in the centre, (which was closed for cleaning 11am to 1pm when I visited). The site is directly next to the river for pleasant walks and there are attractive pubs very nearby. This site is also open all year which Laleham Park isn’t. If you have young kids and it’s summer, you might prefer Laleham Park as the children are more likely to play with fellow campers there, but if you want a more refined “adult” site you will probably prefer this Chertsey site despite its added expense. You can also park your car right next to your unit here. For a photo go to:- http://www.fotango.com/p/eba00319819f00000001.jpg
